Welcome to The Lamex Stadium for this year’s Lamex Cup – a weekend that showcases not just the promising talent within our community but the club’s wider vision for football development opportunities across all areas. It’s always fantastic to see the energy and support that surrounds this event each year, and 2025 continues to bring exciting energy. I thought I would share a small overview of our academy.
Our academy continues to make strides both on and off the pitch. With a strong emphasis on developing well-rounded young players, we’ve introduced new coaching frameworks, increased contact time, and embedded a player-first culture across all age groups. You will see this weekend a number of our referees are from the academy of education programmes. This year has seen a number of scholars and younger players progress through the system, some earning valuable minutes in senior environments – a testament to the hard work of our staff and the ambition of our players.
A significant milestone for the club this year has been the formal integration of the women’s game into the heart of Stevenage FC. As we welcome the women's teams more fully into the club structure, we’re creating shared pathways, improved access to resources, and equal visibility across programmes. It’s an exciting development that not only strengthens our identity but also provides clear progression routes for young female players in the region. The New SFC Performance Centre
We are proud to announce the recent purchase of our new Performance Centre –a transformative step forward for the club. This facility will serve as a central hub for our academy, women’s teams, and community clubs and programmes. It provides a dedicated space for high-performance training, elevating our capacity to nurture talent and positively impact lives beyond the pitch.
Through initiatives such as our Elite Development Programme (EDP), we continue to offer high-level coaching and additional opportunities for young players across the area. Our Boro Red community sessions also go from strength to strength – providing inclusive, fun, and safe environments for children of all abilities to fall in love with the game. Our pathway continues to grow providing more opportunities for young people to develop. In closing, I’d like to thank the staff, players, families, and fans who continue to support the academy and wider club initiatives. Together, we’re building something truly special at Stevenage FC – and it’s only just the beginning.
Enjoy the day and Up The Boro!!
Jorden Gibson Academy Director Stevenage FC

It had been a pleasure coaching this team this season, we started off slow getting to grips with the format of actual games but quickly came together and started to rack up some impressive victory’s and gaining some momentum carrying us through most of the season. Great resilience and attitude applied when they step on to the field. LETS GO FAIRLANDS!
Stevenage Borough Cubs have been playing in the Royston Crow League since January, and although all the players are U6’s they have shown they are more than capable of competing at the higher age group. They gained promotion after just 9 games, continuing to remain competitive scoring 74 goals in 14 games so far! All the boys possess a fantastic attitude to learning the game and always looking to improve, as well as a great battling spirit in their matches.
Our team has had an outstanding season so far, recently winning two trophies in just one week: the SFC Youth Cup and the IMI Easter Tournament! This success reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of our players and coaching staff. We’re now looking forward to the exciting challenge of competing in the Lamex Cup 2025. We’re eager to continue our journey in this prestigious tournament, showcasing our skills and teamwork. Go VIPERS!
Lamex
We started the season as a development team and took our fair share of losses. It felt like every game was a disappointment. But in the second half of the season, we have come back fighting and winning, all thanks to the hard work these boys are putting in during training. We are climbing our way up.
We are the u7 Stevenage Borough Spartans. We are very excited to be playing at the Lamex Stadium and actually go onto the pitch. We are excited to play a big tournament with a crowd watching us from the stands like professional footballers do. We have had a good season with some highs and some development opportunities. We have enjoyed bonding as a team and learning new skills to improve our positioning and game play.
Stotfold Ambers came together in September 2024. Each player was chosen to be part of the Ambers squad after excelling in the development centre programme. As a group we’ve had an exceptionally good first season, and all 8 boys have developed and improved immensely. We look forward to what the future holds.
The Lamex cup provides us with an opportunity to play football on a top quality surface against some very good football teams and we can’t wait to get going. Thanks for having us.

The Hurricanes have had a strong first season in the Mid Herts League Emerald Division, offering all teams strong competition. We have seen some great passing, leading to some superb strikes, and we hope to see the boys put some more special moments together at the Lamex Cup 2025. Playing at the Lamex is something the boys are really looking forward to, especially as some of the boys are part of the Stevenage FC player pathway.
This has been a very dominant season within the Cambs FA Mini league system. We have found us to be a fast and creative free scoring side getting a lot of pre-academy intersest at all cate levels, and everyone associated with the squad has been really proud how much hard work they have put in to get them to the positions they are in both as individuals and as a squad.

Fairlands U8’s Blues have had a solid season. We’ve seen stand out performances from every player over the season but the team excel when working together and there have been plenty of outstanding team performances recently! U8’s Blues have enjoyed coming to The Lamex as a team to watch Stevenage this season so are very excited to now be the ones on the pitch.
We have had a great season as a team pushed ourselves to get promoted into top league in Royston crown and gave it our best shot. Every single member of our team has more goals and more assists from last year, showing how they gelling as a team more and more. We also won IMI tournament In February half term, our second tournament win as a team. They were flag bearers at the Stevenage vs Huddersfield game also.
All of our boys have loads of best moments/ goals etc that they want to remember from this season and are massively looking forward to being out on the pitch at the lamex and playing football.
This is our second season playing 5 a side with the Shephall United Oranges. We lost our older boys to the U9’s and bought in 4 new great players. We started off the season in the E division of the Royston Crow. Most weeks we saw a considerable win and it was not really a test for our boys. We were then promoted around November to D division and the team continued in their winning way, only loosing once and drawing twice.

BSCFC Rangers have had a fantastic season, showing remarkable consistency, teamwork, and commitment across every game. Competing in the Royston Crow's top division, the team has performed at a high level throughout the campaign, earning praise for their unity on the pitch and their determination to succeed.
Struggled at the beginning of the season as they mix with U8s player but are now starting to shine.
Competing in the Royston Crow League, Stotfold Reds U9 have battled through a challenging season in the Cherry Division. Despite the strong competition, their attacking intent has shone through with over 78 goals scored. Often embracing the underdog role in tournaments, this team is capable of rising to the occasion and achieving special moments. Eager to translate their spectator experience back in Demeber watching a 2-1 Stevenage win over Stockport. The boys can't wait to get out on the pitch.
3rd season together as Tigers with 3 new additions complementing the original boys as we’ve transitioned to 7v7. Pleasing season so far, having some great results against some decent teams. Standout performance was against Enfield, reversing the previous defeat of 1-5 with a resolute 1-0 victory. That result epitomises the never say die attitude that we have adopted over this season. As our most local professional team and previously having a day out as a team watching Stevenage play, for the boys to have the opportunity to play at The Lamex will undoubtedly make some young dreams come true.
A hard working team with an aim to play an attractive style of football.A great team spirit and fantastic work rate in training and matches each week.Looking to give everything to the lamex cup and see how it goes!

A Brand new team formed at the beginning of the season.aiming to play an attraction style of football whilst giving loads of work off the ball .A team which keep progressing and have managed to get to an emerald mid Herts final. Looking to give everything to the Lamex cup and see what happens!
Some good displays this season but have struggled with consistency but have players with individual brilliance
Established in the summer of 2024, a group of parents had a vision of combining friends from the top teams from the Herts/Beds leagues U10s, to play together on a Sunday... The 24/25 season saw this dream become a reality. Clifton FC finished an impressive debut season, challenging the top teams in BMSL Div1, whilst securing 2 semi final finishes in local tournaments, along with lifting the IMI Academy Summer Trophy!
An exciting upcoming 25/26 season, will see these boys join forces to play in both Saturday & Sunday leagues as one, with the hope they continue to shine and grow in their footballing journey together.
The is the second season together as a team for most of the u10 Aquas, with many having started at the Eagles at u7 and u8. They’re a brilliant bunch of boys from across north Herts who love coming together a couple of times a week to play some good quality football. As a team we’ve had some great successes but also some tough periods over the season but the boys always support their team mates to come through for each other when it matters. With fantastic support from the parents and coaches, the team is really excited to be kicking off their summer tournament season with the Lamex Cup.
The Watton Bulls U10’s have enjoyed a successful season and are delighted to be competing in the Lamex Cup 2025. The Bulls currently play within the Herts Youth League Division 1 having successfully gained promotion to the top division earlier this season. We have achieved three promotions in as many seasons which is a massive achievement for the team as they continue to develop. Being a local side, a number of the players regularly attend Stevenage FC fixture's, so for them to play at the Lamex Stadium will be an amazing experience and an occasion that they can go and enjoy together as they make memories on their footballing journey!

Team was formed in the summer of 2024, has gone on to compete in the Chiltern Junior 7s whilst winning the Autumn Cup and progressing of the soon to be played Spring Cup Final. The teams highlight moment was split between hosting the Arsenal Academy boys at futsal earlier in the summer, or the recent NW Tour that included trips to play against Manchester United and Everton. As many avid Stevenage fans, boys are looking forward to playing on the hallowed turf !
On fire this season. Gelling well with some outstanding players
It’s been a really enjoyable season this year watching the boys transition to the 9-a-side format. Watching them develop over the course of the Season has been a great challenge but a pleasure to be part of. They are a great bunch of boys, who have incredibly supportive parents behind them and we look forward to watching them grow. We love the Lamex Cup and always look forward to it as one of our favourite tournaments to play in. It’s a pleasure to play in the stadium and watch them enjoy the experience.

Chiltern League division 2 team, here to enjoy the day on the "hallowed" turf!
Dunstable gunners are a newly formed team this season and have gone from strength to strength and are now looking forward to the league cup final in May.
Based in East London, we compete in the Echo League Division C. We like to keep possession of the ball through a passing game and are committed to defending our goal; believing you start the game with a point that you must protect and then try to gain two more. We finished third in our division this season, winning 12 of our 18 games. We enjoyed holding top spot for a significant part of the season. We scored 55 goals this season and conceded 17, keeping 7 clean sheets.
A group of hungry, passionate and determined boys. Have had a great season with some brilliant goals and amazing defending. Always working as a team to achieve the results and putting in 100% work rate. Excellent attitude and team spirit. Participating in the Lamex cup and playing against established teams to enable them to further showcase their determination, resilience and positive attitude. An afternoon of some fantastic football with an excellent atmosphere is what the boys are looking forward to after a great and sometimes challenging season.
Formed in 2017 as Windsor FC Youth, the Windsor & Eton FC U12 Red Kites compete in Division 1 of the East Berkshire Football Alliance. The team has shown remarkable consistency and growth over the years. Since their second season, they have maintained their position in Division 1, showcasing their ability. This season the team have performed well again and reach the final of the Berks and Bucks County Cup. The team are looking forward to playing in their third Lamex Cup, excited about the prospect of testing themselves against the strong teams the tournament attracts!
Formed at the start of the 2024/25 season, this brand-new team took a few months to find its feet and build a full squad—but since then, it’s been full steam ahead. With impressive recent performances in both the JPL and Harrow League, the team has grown stronger with every game.

What a great season it’s been for our Broxbourne Borough U13s! They have adapted well in their first year playing 11-a-side football and competing in the Premier Division after being promoted last season, these boys have risen to their challenges with determination and heart. Finishing the season in a strong 5th place is a fantastic achievement in such a competitive league.
They’ve shown true commitment, grown as players and teammates, and demonstrated their passion for football. I couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group — and I know their parents are equally proud. Thank you for a great season, the future looks bright for this team!
