With the middle of the year approaching, in this newsletter we take some time to examine some patent filing statistics for the previous year, and decade, at the EPO.
新規特許出願と特許付与 EPOにより受理された新規欧州特許 出願の件数は、安定的に増加してい た時期を経て、2020年にはわずかに 減少に転じました（受理された新規 出願は180,250件で、2019年より0.7 ％減少）。しかしながら、2020年の 大半にわたり直面した世界的異常事 態を考えれば、これは驚くほど良い 結果だと考えています。2011年から 2020年の10年間を振り返ると、新規 欧州特許出願の年間件数は25％増加 していました。
New Patent Applications and Patent Grants After a period of moderate growth, the number of new European patent applications received by the EPO fell slightly in 2020 (180,250 new applications were received, which is 0.7% less than the number received in 2019). Nevertheless, we consider that this is a surprisingly good result given the unusual circumstances that prevailed throughout most of 2020. Looking back on the decade, from 2011 to 2020 the number of new European patent applications year by year grew by 25%.
