Message from the Head of Sixth Form Dear parents and students I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Founding Head of Sixth form at Hartland International School, one of Dubai’s newest sixth forms.
As you read through the prospectus, you will see that we offer a full and broad curriculum that will allow students to access a wide range of courses at some of the world’s best universities. Our A level and BTEC courses will also provide a pathway to training and employment and our focus on skill development will be highly valued by employers. Choosing the right programme to follow in the sixth form can be daunting, but be assured that we will guide and support you through this process and discuss your options and choices on an individual basis.

Our Sixth Form will provide the next step for students who have already experienced all that Hartland has to offer as internal candidates and we extend a warm welcome to external candidates who wish to join us for these final years of formal school education. In addition to the outstanding teaching at Hartland, we will also offer a unique approach to personal development. Our research has identified a number of characteristics that are found in the most successful students. This personal development programme will be the Hartland Sixth Form foundation that will help students to develop and refine these characteristics. The programme focuses on five key areas for development and together, we call them VESPA. All of these characteristics will not only be vital for academic success, but we hope that they will provide a solid foundation to work from when a student graduates from the sixth form and follows their chosen path.
Most of all, we want your sixth form experience to be a happy and successful one. We are committed to supporting you on your learning journey and I am personally excited about starting this new adventure with you. I look forward to meeting you all in the weeks and months ahead. 06
