I Wish I Was Lonely is a participatory show about contactability. A show in which the audience commit to leaving their phones on. A show investigating what it means to participate in communication – or not. There will be poems, there will be stories and there will be conversation.

I Wish I

Was Lonely Fri 6 & Sat 7 June

I Wish I Was Lonely is the new show from Fringe First winners Hannah Jane Walker (This is Just To Say from last year’s 2s Company festival) and Chris Thorpe (following 2011’s The Oh F*ck Moment) that asks how much of ourselves we’ve given up to the new gods in our pockets. “So cunningly and playfully constructed that it feels like a gift” The Guardian

Hurtling Greg Wohead

I have a message for you from the past. Ok, it’s a message from this morning, so it may be the recent past. But it’s still the past. Hurtling is an outdoor performance for one person on the roof of Harrogate Theatre, with a cassette player and headphones. It’s a glimpse of fleeting moments as they zoom past; an attempt to grasp at a slippery present. This is an invitation to remember a previous version of yourself, to imagine a future version and to wonder who that makes you now. We’ll start with a story. Your story.

Hurtling Sat 7 June

TICKETS: £5 LOCATION: Up on the roof TIMES: 2pm, 2.40pm, 3.20pm, 4pm, 4.40pm, 5.20pm & 6pm CAPACITY: 1 DURATION: 60 minutes
