ith the Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election a few days away, Florida Ron DeSantis, a Republican, is refusing to reopen the voter registration period despite the fact that the October 7th voter registration deadline fell between the deadly hurricane Helene that so far has taken the lives of ten people and Hurricane Milton which is on its way.

Vowing to fight for the civil rights of millions of voters who because of the hurricanes could not register, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) announced filing an emergency lawsuit on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Florida and the NAACP Florida State Conference. They are asking that the Governor reopen the voter registration period in Florida because DeSantis failed to reopen or extend the voter deadline.

of voter registration including government offices, roads, the Internet and the postal service were shut down twice within the final days of the registration period. Voters across Florida deserve the opportunity to register to vote safely after the threats posed by

co presidents of the League of Women Voters of Florida.

Gov. DeSantis has shown little regard for the storm s impact on voting rights. While issuing mandatory evacx-

“With this request ignored, the League is seeking assistance from the courts to protect the right to vote for those affected. Voters should not have to worry about registering to vote while they are trying to protect their lives and communities.

The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. The lawsuit states that Florregistration deadline in response to two life threatening natural disasters in the final days of the registration at a time when Floridians were unable to literately weather two very dangerous storms, and Hurricane Milton is set to hit any day now. How can you just cut off voter registration because of Mother Nature?

the storm have subsided.

When natural disasters occur, it is critical that states ensure all eligible voters can safely and fully participate in elections, said Celina Stewart CEO of the League of Women Voters of the United States. Voters deserve compassion and flexibility after these catastrophic events to protect the right to vote and prevent further disenfranchisement, especially in vulnerable communities. The League of Women Voters will remain a strong advocate for all voters wherever they are and ensure that democracy will prevail.

As SPLC senior staff attorney for civil rights Matletha Bennette said, Despite repeated calls from the League of Women Voters of Florida and other voting rights organizations, state leaders refused to take any action as all means

The League is deeply concerned about both the safety and voting rights of Florida s citizens in the face of impending Hurricane Milton, following Hurricane Helene, she stated. In times of crisis, survival becomes the priority, said attorney Cecile M. Scoon and attorney Debbie Chandler,

“The Florida State Conference of the NAACP is proud to lead the charge in calling on Florida s election officials to extend the voter registration deadline, said Adora Obi Nweze, president of Florida s NAACP. to face Hurricane Milton, it is imperative that our state leadership meets this moment. A failure to extend the registration deadline has the potential to stifle millions of voices in one of our nation s most pivotal elections. Times of crisis call for concrete actions. keeping a close eye on the popular vote, they are even more concerned about the six battleground swing states and the Electoral College votes that really chooses who will win the presidency.

Gov. DeSantis, who failed in his presidential bid, doesn t care about the millions of voters who will be deprived of their civil rights to vote. I have to wonder if he has been in contact with Florida election officials to see if his candidate, Donald Trump, was ahead at the time of the voter registration deadline occurred. I would not be surprised if he didn t make those calls or texts.

The magic number to reach to win the White House is 270 Electoral College votes. Recent polls show Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz is ahead of Trump by several percentage points. Florida has 30 electoral votes so a lot is at stake for the Harris Waltz campaign.

DeSantis actions are occurring as the battle for the presidential race heats up and while political leaders are

with the knowledge that they have committed murder or convicted of a sex crime which are grounds to deny the ex felon the right to vote. I trust the SPLC and the Florida NAACP win their lawsuits because voting matters for all people, not just for Republicans.

And the Florida vote and the Electoral College 30 vote should NOT COUNT AT ALL IF GOV. DeSANTIS continues to disenfranchise millions of voters no matter what color or ethnic group they claim to be. Voting matters for everyone, not just for Republicans.

In the 2020 presidential campaign, Trump won Florida 51.2 percent, or 5,668,731 votes to Biden s 47.9 percent, 5,297,045 votes. Florida has a history of accusing innocent people of voter fraud especially if they re Black or brown and even if they are felons.

Several voter fraud cases have been dismissed in court after learning that the voters, felons, were given voter ID cards by the government sometimes

he US Census reveals much about the country’s perspective on race. It counts people according to how the nation defines people, and historically, those people counted as Black have been those people with any known Black ancestry. Blacks are defined by the one-drop rule. No other racial or ethnic group is defined in this way, nor does any other nation rely upon this formula; the onedrop rule is definitively Black and characteristically American. It should make sense then that the origins of the rule are directly linked to the history of Black people in the United States, and as such, our discussion of the onedrop rule begins during the period of colonial enslavement.

Within the context of colonial enslavement, Blackness prototypical and phenotypical African features such as dark skin, a broad nose, tightly coiled hair were the undeniable markers of inferiority. These features served to immediately communicate one’s position within the social power structure, and in the context of enslavement, whether one was free or enslaved.

If you were white, you were free; if you were Black, you were enslaved. Simple.

However, this seemingly simple social order soon became complicated by the rampant increase in amalgamation the mixing of the races. The lines between white and Black, free and enslaved, became more and more blurred. Even though the mixing was extensive and extremely common, from the beginning it was always discouraged. For example, in 1630, only 11 years after the first enslaved Africans arrived in Virginia, “colonist Hugh Davis was sentenced to be soundly whipped ‘before an assembly of negroes and others for abusing himself to the dishonor of God and shame of Christianity by defiling his body in lying with a negro.’” Any white person, male

or female, suspected of interracial sexual contact was publicly punished.

Racial mixing posed a number of potential problems. At a time when Blacks far outnumbered whites, whites were afraid of losing control over the enslaved population.

While legally many Mixed-race individuals were considered white in many states at various points of time, socially most whites regarded anyone with any Black ancestry as Black. But what really lay beneath their physical fears were their psychological ones. In order to maintain white supremacy, whiteness had to remain “pure.” White anxieties about racial mixture were rooted in eugenics and scientific racism, both supposing that the white race was the superior race, that physical and mental traits were tied to heredity, and that racial mixing thus not only lowered human quality but further threatened the survival of the white race. Within this framework, Blackness was considered a contaminant, one poisonous enough to taint and further cripple an entire gene pool. As will become clear, the one-drop rule would be critical not only in the defense of the white race but in the concentration of white power.

Given the shamelessly disproportionate amount of power and privilege assigned to whiteness, the lines between who counted as white and who did not had to be unquestionably clear. Maintaining a firm color line would require the institution of what would later be called “anti-miscegenation laws” laws that defined marriage (and sometimes sex) between the races as criminal. Because Blacks were already enslaved, in reality these laws reflected an attempt to police the behavior of whites:

In many of the colonies interracial marriage was formally prohibited; those who engaged in interracial fornication paid a double fine; those who intermarried were banished; those who performed marriages for mixed couples were punished; whites who engaged in interracial marriages were enslaved; offspring of such marriages followed the slave status of the mother if the mother were Black and were enslaved anyway if the mother were white.

The idea that children born to enslaved mothers would take the status of the mother reflected a significant break with traditional English common law that held that children take the status of the father. However, as we will continue to see, laws changed frequently to maintain white supremacy. Essentially, if a white man were to impregnate a Black woman, the law took him off the hook; he did not have to support or even claim that child. At best, if the mother of the child was his property, he gained not a child but additional property and another source of labor and income. Thus, the law inadvertently sanctioned the sexual abuse of enslaved women. In fact, on some plantations, a select number of enslaved women were reserved specifically for breeding with white men since Mixed-race “slaves” brought higher prices at the market. Defining whitedescended children born to enslaved Black women as “slaves” suited the need to control the population, increasing the number of exploited laborers while limiting the number of free Blacks. By limiting who had access to privilege, particularly that of freedom, whites were able to further concentrate white power.

The punishment for white women who had consensual sex with Black men was much more severe than the penalties given to white men who raped Continue on page 14.

ormer President Trump isn’t the only Republican who doesn’t care about people facing life-threatening Mother Nature storms because his political clones, like Rep. Marjorie Greene and other conspirators, are blaming the devastating effects of Hurricane Milton on Democrats she says are controlling the weather, taking flood victims land and giving them $750 all bald-faced lies just to get Republican votes.

Never mind about Hurricane Milton’s being a Stage Four storm that is descending on Florida and the possible loss of more lives it will take with them. Never mind that the victims, the believers in conspiracy theories, may become fearful and not cooperate with the more than 1,000 first responders on the ground with over a million bottles of water and millions more in emergency supplies. Never mind about lies Greene and her cult are claiming that the government will only reimburse you $750 for your damages and will take your house which is not true.

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took to the airwaves in a live briefing dousing out lie-after-lie with Biden calling the liars’ claims nothing short of being “bizarre.”

Biden was referring to false claims like federal workers who are delivering help will take their property. “It’s a lie,” Biden said during a live TV briefing. His aides say false claims like this leaves room for criminals to take and exploit the victims of this dangerous hurricane.

With the category stage four storm expanding in size and speed,

WASHINGTON As President Joe Biden delivered a stark warning Wednesday about the dangerous hurricane barreling toward Florida, he shot down misinformation about the storm, including one particular conspiracy theory propagated by Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

"The claims are getting even more bizarre. Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congressman with Georgia, is now saying the federal government is literally controlling the weather we're controlling the weather. It’s beyond ridiculous. It’s got to stop," Biden

said during a virtual briefing at the White House as he received updates about Hurricane Milton. The storm is expected to make landfall in Florida and could be catastrophic for the region.

Greene said in an Oct. 3 post on X: "Yes they can control the weather. It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done."

One of Greene's GOP colleagues, Rep. Carlos Gimenez of Florida, wrote in response on X "Humans cannot create or control hurricanes. Anyone who thinks they can, needs to have their head examined."

Around the same time as Biden's briefing on Wednesday, Greene repeated her claim and suggested that the federal government is aware of it.

"Well some of them are listed on NOAA, as well as most of the ways weather can be modified, because they are required to report it to the Secretary of Commerce by the Weather Modification Act of 1972," she wrote

on X. "The NOAA government website has a library catalog of 1,026 entries of weather modifications, but that’s not all of them."

She continued, "If your home or business or property is damaged or a loved one is killed by their weather modifications shouldn’t you be eligible for compensation? After all, did they ask you if you agreed to our weather being modified?"

On Tuesday, she quoted an article from The Gateway Pundit, a far-right website known for spreading conspiracy theories, that said: "Marjorie Taylor Greene was right. Yes, scientists do control the weather."

Biden also said in his briefing Wednesday that Greene's conspiracy theory was among the "reckless, irresponsible and relentless promotion of disinformation and outright lies" over the last few weeks. The president said that it's undermining rescues in the wake of Hurricane Helene and he accused former President Donald Trump of leading "the onslaught of lies."

"Assertions have been made that property is being confiscated. That’s simply not true," he said. "They’re saying people impacted by these storms will receive $750 in cash and no more. That’s simply not true. They’re saying the money is needed for this crisis is being diverted to migrants. What a ridiculous thing to say it’s not true."

The lies got so bad that the President had the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to set up a website just to deal with the unending lies Greene and her cult followers are spreading across the Internet. To use the dangers and possible deaths of families to try and gain political points for the November 5th election is appalling and reckless.

FEMA’s website explained that “Continue on page 21.

Black women. The responsibility of maintaining the purity of the white race lay in the hands (and wombs) of its women, the literal bearers of the next generation. White women who had children by Black men were not only disgraces to their race but to their nation. Many were banished from the colony; many others were themselves enslaved. Conveniently, traditional English common law was upheld in these cases, and Black-descended children born to white women took the status of their Black fathers. In both cases, racially mixed persons would be assigned to the status of the lower group, thus the term “hypodescent” “hypo” meaning under, defective, or inadequate. A white mother could give birth to a Black child, but a Black mother could never give birth to a white one.

Obviously, white/Black sexual liaisons continued, and the Mixed-race population grew rapidly. The general term used during the antebellum period to describe people of mixed racial heritage was “Mulatto.” Taken from the Portuguese and Spanish term mulato meaning “young mule,” the term reflects not only the disdain with which the referents were held but the way in which race was conceptualized at the time. As we know, a mule is the offspring of a horse and a donkey a hybrid of two different animals and as hybrids, they are sterile. To refer to children born of interracial sexual relationships as “Mulattos” pointed to the conviction that whites and Blacks were two distinct beings and the related belief that if they were to mix, their offspring would be sterile and thus useless. True, we know that those of mixed racial heritage were not at all sterile; but this process of naming reflected a projected value system more so than an actual truth. Again, what lay beneath their physical fears were their psychological ones.

Creoles functioned as a buffer class that helped whites to maintain their

dominant status and keep unmixed Blacks in their place.

What would happen if one’s social status free or enslaved were no longer obvious based on physical appearance? What exactly were “Mulattos”? If there were only two racial categories, white and Black, which one did

they belong to? By one colonial observation, Virginia was “swarming with Mulattos,” a situation that likely forced the state to quickly put laws into place to address the “problems” it posed. Virginia was the first state to outline a formulaic definition of race in its ban against interracial marriage. In 1705, it defined a “Negro” as the child, the grandchild, or great-grandchild of a “Negro” or anyone who was at a least one-eighth “Negro.” By this definition, “Mulattos” were Black. Other states soon followed. At different times up

until the 20th century, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, and South Carolina all relied on a one-eighth rule, while Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas defined anyone with “any blood of the African race in their veins” as Black. While legally many Mixed-race individuals were considered white in many states at various points of time, socially most whites regarded anyone with any Black ancestry as Black. The message was clear: No matter how white you may appear, if there is but one drop of Black blood in your lineage, you will be considered Black and treated accordingly.

The specific case of New Orleans presents a quite different history of racial classification. There, a multi-tiered system developed wherein whites held highest status and Blacks held lowest status, while the gens de couleur libre (free people of color), also known as Creoles of Color and more popularly referred to as Creoles, hovered loosely between the two in an intermediate position, enjoying the privileges of freedom since the beginning of French rule in 1718. The term “Creole,” from the Latin creare, means “to beget” or “create.” Creoles were indeed “created,” the result of generations of inter-mixing between Europeans (French and Spanish), Africans (enslaved and free), and Indigenous peoples. Unlike other regions of the country, in colonial Louisiana, amalgamation was widespread, tolerated, and sometimes encouraged, and thus whites rejected the one drop rule.

Creoles functioned as a buffer class that helped whites to maintain their dominant status and keep unmixed Blacks in their place. White fathers often acknowledged their “Mulatto” children, and many granted their children their freedom. To maintain the wedge created between the groups, laws were set in place to keep them separate. Creoles were prohibited Continue on page 15.

from mingling with the dark-skinned Blacks. Furthermore, under Louisiana law, Creoles were presumed free; Blacks were not. Having received the acknowledgement and favor of whites, Creoles emerged as an elite class, and thus, like whites, Creoles considered themselves superior to Blacks. Often possessing more white blood than [Negro], and quite often on good terms with and publicly recognized by their white relatives, most members of this third caste in Louisiana were reared to believe that they were a race apart from the [Negroes], who occupied the lowest stratum of society. –

Gary B. Mills, The Forgotten People: Cane River’s Creoles of Color

Although Creoles were not given the privileges afforded to whites, they were given many more privileges than were Blacks. For a Creole, then, having white ancestry was socially advantageous. The fact that Creoles were assigned privileges on the sole basis of their white ancestry only helped to further legitimize the superiority of whiteness.

In Louisiana, the term “Negro” applied usually to one of full “Negro” blood. A “Negro” and a white produced a “Mulatto.” If a “Mulatto” were to reproduce with a “Negro,” their offspring would be referred to as a Griffe, and if that Griffe were to reproduce with a white, their offspring would be referred to as Sacatra. A “Mulatto” and a white produced a Quadroon or Quateron. A Quadroon and a white produced an Octoroon or Sang-mêlé, and so on and so on. And a person “sufficiently light-skinned to pass for white” was considered passe à blanc. Whereas the term passé á blanc points to how others perceived a particular person, the term blanc forcé was used to refer to someone who was intent on being seen as white “by force.” Interestingly enough, however, when pronounced in New Orleans dialect, the term sounds more like blan fo’cé, and as

such, the descriptor could also derive from blanc foncé, which means “dark white” in French.

In recognizing multiple categories of non-whiteness, Louisiana established a distinctive and complex caste system. Just as whites considered themselves superior to Blacks on the basis of skin color, so too did Creoles. Whites approved of and often encouraged Creoles’ erection of and adherence to this “color line of privilege” “this separation was encouraged by the whites as a means of dividing the Negroes and making it easier to control them. By law the light-skinned free Negro was barred from mingling with the dark-skinned slave.” Under an 1846 Louisiana law, a person of color may be descended from Indians on both sides, from a white parent, or mulatto parents in possession of their freedom Thus, Creoles were presumed to be free; Blacks were not. Although never explicitly stated, these and similar statutes gave Creoles both social and legal permission to consider themselves a race separate from Blacks, and in many ways, their skin color served as their passport to freedom.

Many Creoles began to take extreme pride in their own light skin color and often went to great lengths to “maintain the race” by either preserving or lightening the skin color of their descendants.

The multi-tiered racial classification system that created the Creole also created an elite class of people, many of whom were as financially secure as whites, if not more so. In New Orleans, Creoles made up a significant portion of the city’s doctors, lawyers, businessmen, and other educated professionals. Some were successful enough to own their own “slaves.” Their very ability to work for wages, operate businesses, and receive inheritances was due to their racial and social approximation to whites. Having a European-like phenotype light skin,

straight or loosely coiled hair, aquiline features, etc. marked people elsewhere categorized wholly as Black as privileged, with the amount of privilege assigned based on how much white blood the person possessed and/or how much white blood it appeared that the person possessed. Thus, among Creoles themselves, each of these subcategories represented jealous and fiercely guarded distinctions. This caste system would set into motion a history of “bad blood” (no pun intended) between Louisiana’s Creole population and browner- or darker-skinned Blacks based largely on ancestry and appearance.

Recognizing the social power and freedoms established by whites simply on the basis of skin color, many Creoles began to take extreme pride in their own light skin color and often went to great lengths to “maintain the race” by either preserving or lightening the skin color of their descendants. The responsibility of maintaining the race fell on the shoulders (and wombs) of Creole women. Efforts to “improve the race” often involved Creole women engaging in sexual relationships with white men and in turn producing lighter-skinned offspring. At the time of its inception, the French Code Noir dictated that children resulting from French/non-French (read: white/non-white) unions assumed the status of their mothers. However, the French fathers oftentimes freed their Mixed children and their common-law (Black) wives. The privileges associated with white ancestry and skin color thus made “alliances” between Black women and French men both attractive and inevitable. More formally referred to as plaçage (“placement” in French), this system afforded French men “respectable companionship” in a place where there was a shortage of European women, while offering Creole women the opportunity to improve not only their own social standing but that of future generations of their families.

ccording to biographer Gwenda Blair, the family descended from an itinerant lawyer, Hanns Drumpf, who settled in Kallstadt, a village in the Electoral Palatinate, Germany (then the Holy Roman Empire), in 1608, and whose descendants changed their name from Drumpf to Trump during the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648). The last name Trump is on record in Kallstadt since the 18th century. Journalist Kate Connolly, visiting Kallstadt, found several variations in spelling of the surname in the village archives, including Drumb, Tromb, Tromp, Trum, Trumpff, and Dromb. Even very diverse variations in spelling are common in German names before standardization as the wider population lacked literacy and names were transcribed from their spoken form rather than copied from documents.

Johannes Trump, born in the nearby village Bobenheim am Berg in 1789, had established himself by the early 1830s as a winegrower in Kallstadt where his grandson, Friedrich Trump, the grandfather of Donald Trump, was born in 1869 (now part of the Kingdom of Bavaria). Several of his descendants also were vintners in Kallstadt, one of many villages in the famous wine-growing region of the Palatinate (Pfalz). Johannes Trump's sister Charlotte Louisa married Johann Georg Heinz. Their son Johann Heinrich (John Henry) Heinz (1811–1891), who emigrated to the United States in 1840, was the father of Henry J. Vice President Harris has a small lead nationwide. She led former President Trump by 3.4 points in the average maintained by The Hill/Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) as of Friday evening.

But the picture in the battleground states is tighter still.

Of the seven battlegrounds likely to decide the election, Harris leads in four states and Trump in three. But neither candidate is ahead in any of those critical states by more than 2 percentage points. In five of the states, the margin for the leading candidate is less than 1 point.

The campaigns will now be furiously battling it out on the campaign trail and in TV ads to try to drive turnout among their supporters and win over late-deciding voters.

The Trump campaign and its affiliated committees have said they began October with $283 million cash on hand.

The Harris campaign has yet to release its fundraising numbers for September.

Bloomberg, citing data from AdImpact, has reported that Team Harris spent $192 million on advertising to Trump’s $72 million during September.

A reprobate mind: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. Nothing happens without the Lord allowing it.

Millions have mocked the former president Donald Trump as he fell asleep at his own trial,” and after he awaken, he was with 34 felony convictions.” Recalling that: Nothing happens without the Lord allowing it!

Humanity ought to remember that you will reap what is sown and so it was at the recent Democratic Convention where truth was spoken by former president Barack Obama, noting Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes.” The crown size of the Democratic convention was historically the largest ever.

The autocrat Trump, boasted about giving money to politicians so they would do whatever he wanted. “When they call, I give. And do you know what, when I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them. They are there for me.” Those that might not know this is called political prostitution. But is this considered democracy or dictatorship?

Speaking of democracy, Trump, after not winning the presidential election, formed a coup against the United States and instigated an assault on the U.S. Capitol, resulting in five deaths. The evil spirit thought the act would be done in darkness and not in the light. The Jan 6, vicious attack on the United States property was sinful with no justifications.

Countless people said that Trump is a traitor and should be labeled as such. He and his Republican cult Party is based on Trump’s Big Lies which violate everything America stands for. Because of the lying acts giving murderous traits, a despicable blot is left on the United States of America.

When Trump was accused of not paying his income taxes, he responded, “That makes me smart.” It can be justly said that if this were a minority they would serve a serious sen-

And spiritually, The Bible is straightforward about lying, deception, and falsehood God hates them. His character is truth, and as the essence of truth, God takes pleasure in honesty. Truthfulness is a mark of the Lord’s followers.

Habitual lying is evidence of underlying spiritual problems such as rebellion, pride, and lack of integrity.

oes former president Donald Trump and his supporters know what the consequences are for mocking spiritual concerns! Do they really know the detriment in being esteemed as a savior?

ment in an epic End Times battle of good and evil against President Biden/Harris, Democrats and 'the left' to 'save America' by winning the 2024 election." Satan will make his followers believe things are when in fact they are not!

Much of Trump’s governmental action is Sacrilege. Blasphemy in the Old Testament means to insult the honor of God, either by attacking him directly or mocking him indirectly. Thus, blasphemy is considered the opposite of praise. The penalty for blasphemy in the Old Testament was death by stoning.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was recently called "savior" at an Arizona church where his running mate, J.D. Vance, was scheduled to speak.

Before Vance was to speak for the Charlie Kirk's Turning Point organization, a sign outside declared Trump "this generations savior." Trump had earlier shared a video suggesting that God made him America's "caretaker." Such a dangerous thing to declare especially when a person say they are acquainted with the word of God Dangerous!

If an individual is not careful, they will be turned over to a degenerate mind. Trump's claim of being a 'prophet' is already a sign of his 'mental disorder'.

A political pundit was asked how Donald Trump went from a TV personality to president and now, in the eyes of some of his followers, to a "messiah" who is battling for the soul of America.

No one really know the answer to the many insane thing people go through to be held as a leader, but "Trump s delusions of grandeur have been escalating as he continues to proclaim that he is some type of messiah prophet, chosen by 'god' and 'Jesus Christ' to lead the MAGA move-

Which is worst, the person who tells a lie, or he that believes the lie? The person telling the lie can go home, eat and sleep well, but the person who believes that lie acts on it. How Donald Trump is spreading a dangerous mental illness to his supporters as countless people believe the liar and the lie.

Trump s claims about being a prophet or some type of messiah is Trump s mental disorder is primed for fascism. The only surprising thing about Trump s claims is he has not yet said he is better than Jesus. Which sources say is sure to come! "

Trump encouraging supporters to see him as 'messiah like' figure. Former President Donald Trump's relationship with QAnon and the farright has become closer than ever before, and a published report said that the former president is encouraging his followers to see him as a "messiahlike figure."

What Is Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and Is this Sin unforgivable? One of the sins mentioned in Scripture that can strike fear into the hearts of people is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus talked about this, the words he used were indeed frightening:

“And so, I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come” (Matthew 12:31-32).

Weather systems as large as hurricanes cannot be controlled by humans through existing technology. However, there have been efforts to modify the weather in a very limited way with cloud-seeding technologies.

“Cloud seeding, which dates back to the 1950s, typically involves spraying silver iodide into clouds to draw water out of the atmosphere and assist the formation of ice crystals that produces now or rainfall. Cloud seeding programs are more common in western states with dwindling water supplies.

“As climate change worsens because of fossil fuel pollution, some scientists have held preliminary discussions about whether broad-scale geoengineering projects could help prevent the harms associated with warming temperatures.

“Federal researchers have taken only a few small steps toward studying geoengineering projects’ feasibility, and atmospheric scientists say there is no evidence of any large-scale programs’’

Neither Trump aides nor Greene’s have returned calls to NBC News has reached out to Greene’s office and Trump’s campaign for comment.

Another Republican, Rep. Chuck Edwards, of North Carolina, put out a statement Tuesday shooting down the “outrageous rumors" about Hurricane Helene and the federal government's response to it.

“Hurricane Helene was NOT geoengineered by the government to seize and access lithium deposits in Chimney Rock," he said. "Nobody can control the weather.”

“Federal employees delivering help will take their property which is a lie. False information is fuel for the criminal ele-

ment to exploit the victims. Here is more on what the government released. We are working with our state, local and tribal partners to assess damage from the storm as quickly as possible.

‘We are coordinating a federal force of nearly 7,000 personnel, each contributing their expertise to this mission. We continue to deliver critical supplies to impacted areas including meals, water, generators, tarps and other supplies and equipment.”

And to Trump, Greene and all of their weird followers especially since you all claim to be Christians, don’t forget what the bible says about liars because it is quite clear that the Bible says that lies are a sin against God.

Even in the 10 Commandments we are told to not lie (Exodos 20:16). Proverbs 6:16-19 reiterates this, saying “For there are six things the Lord hates no, seven: haughtiness, lying, murdering, plotting evil, eagerness to do wrong, a false witness, sowing discord among brothers.” When I was attending St. Joseph’s School, Sister Eugene used to tell us if we lie, we will go to hell.

My message to Rep. Greene, who should not be holding an elected position, is loose lips sink ships and the ship you are sinking is your own and other Republicans who continue to follow Trump’s lies just to stockpile votes.

May you and your ilk who hold public office lose your elections on November 5th not just because America deserves better, but because of your pattern and practices of lying. I doubt if the lies will stop dripping off your greased-up lips. So, does this mean you don’t care if you are headed for hell in a slow handbasket? You know, I don’t think you really care as long as you can add one more voter on your mountain of lies. May God have mercy on your wicked soul.

everal elected officials and activists declared Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris the winner in Tuesday’s, September 10th, historic faceoff presidential race depicting Harris as a policymaker and Presidential nominee Donald Trump as a “divisive troublemaker” who blew “hot air” and remained in an attack mode throughout the debate.

And that is how the more than 90minute debate took place the first one since President Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed his Vice President as his successor and asked others to support her as his replacement. It was also the first time Harris and Trump actually met face-toface. They shook hands at the debate, held at the historic National Constitution Center in Philadelphia with Harris predicting all viewers will hear are “lies.”

The candidates were interviewed by ABC News’ David Muir and Linsay Davis on a myriad of issues including the economy, abortion, the war between Russia and Ukraine; democracy; foreign policy; January 6th insurrection; health care; climate and energy; race; the war between Israel and Hamas; the trials Trump has faced and other pending; rallies and China. Harris vowed to protect a woman’s right to her body while Trump boasted his three appointed U.S. Supreme Court justices overturned Roe v Wade.

Calling Harris “did an outstanding plan in laying out her platform on the real issues that exist,” Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-7th) said, “I think Trump did better than expected, but he continued to make allegations without any facts to back them up. He didn’t come up with any plants. He made comments about

what he was going to do without being specific except those things that relate to some things of his past and not the truth.” Davis said Harris laid out her plans that people wanted to hear. “I

was very pleased to hear it and agreed with it. I think she did outstandingly well.”

“Kamala Harris gave us plans, vision, compassion and stability. Trump showed us an angry, divisive person

who lives in a world of illusion and lies. People who support him say more about themselves than him,” said Father Pfleger.

As a member of the legendary Alpha Kappa Alpha, Illinois Senator Mattie Hunter (D-3rd) joined others in declaring Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, who is also a member of that sorority, the winner in Tuesday’s, September 9th, presidential debate saying she had sound policies. “She delivered her message with facts. She was cool, calm and collective, and

Trump could neither distract nor unravel her as much as he tried.

“He lied throughout the debate, and she started out labeling him as a liar, and he held to that standard,” Sen. Hunter told the Chicago Crusader moments after the historic debate ended. “She constantly gave him eye contact, but he couldn’t give her eye contact back. Let’s accept the fact that Vice President Kamala Harris is a natural. What you see is what you get,” Senator Hunter stated.

Attorney Yusef Jackson, Chief Operating Officer, also painted Harris as a winner. “She removed all doubt that she is a master debater who can prosecute a case in favor of the American people,” he told the Chicago Crusader after the debate ended. However, Ald. David Moore (17th) said, “Simply put. No one moved the needle.”

Northeastern University Professor Emeritus Robert Starks said, “Harris destroyed Trump. She laid her policies of homeownership, childcare and new businesses, but he had no policy issues on the table. She won the debate, and said all Trump gave was hot air. He didn’t give a single policy issue. All he did was attack, attack, attack.”

From the beginning, it was Harris who set the stage and the atmosphere of the historic debate introducing her plans to promote small businesses, which are the backbone of this nation, by giving $60,000 for small startups and $6,000 in Child Tax Credits(CTC) to parents of newborns, but Trump had no plans and remained in the attack mode calling Biden the worst president ever and accusing him of letting in “millions of immigrants”

Rep. Davis said Harris’ plans to give first time businesspeople $6,000, an increase in CTC funds, which is now Continue on page 23.

$2,000, improve the Affordable Care Act (ACA) “that will make healthcare more affordable to all people are needed.” When asked who won the debate, Davis said it was Harris because “she demonstrated very effectively to people who she is. They ought to know now if they didn’t that the government of the U.S. would be in great hands with the leadership of Kamala Harris. I think it was a good night.”

On the issue of health, Harris criticized Trump for trying to end The Affordable Care, often called Obamacare). Then a U.S. Senator, Harris said she watched Trump, and his allies try 60 times to end Obamacare. Trump said “Obamacare was terrible” but that he could come up with a plan to replace it as long as it wasn’t more expensive.

Trump aggressively accused Springfield, Ohio Haitian immigrants of capturing and eating dogs though the police, Haitian leaders and elected officials called his claim “false and baseless.” Name-calling is one of Trump’s signature political tactics having labeled Black countries like Africa, Haiti and El Salvador “s holes.”

When Muir asked Trump if he recently said he was “short” on votes in the 2020 election, he asked if he said that at all but made it clear that he did not lose that election. Harris said his answer was a “disgrace because you did, in fact, lose that election. It leads one to believe that we do not have in the candidate to my right with the temperament or the ability to not be confused about fact. That’s deeply troubling and the American people deserve better.”

Harris made it clear saying in 2020, “Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people. Let’s be clear about that. Clearly, he’s had a very difficult time processing that, but we cannot have a president of the United States who attempt, as he did in the past, to upend the will of the voters in a free and fair election.” Looking at Trump, Harris told him,” You did lose that election. It

leads one to believe that perhaps” Trump is a candidate “who is confused about facts. That is deeply troubling, and the American people deserve better.”

In response Trump said Biden received 14 million votes in the primary and quoted Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, calling him “a tough person, smart,” who asked, “Why is the whole world blowing up? Three years it wasn’t. He said you need Trump back as president. They were afraid of him,” Trump continued still quoting Orban. “He said China

North Korea…Russia was afraid of him. Trump also claimed that Biden “hates” Harris, “can’t stand her.”

When asked how she would resolve the Israeli Hamas war, Harris said on October 7th, Hamas, “a terrorist

Organization slaughtered 1200 Israelis who were attending a concert. Women were horribly raped. Israel has a right to defend itself. We would and how it does matters This war must end. We need a ceasefire deal and the hostages out. We will continue to work around the clock also understanding we must chart a course for a two-state solution” she said would provide security for both Israel and Gaza. She is in favor of rebuild Gaza “where the Palestinians have security, selfdetermination and dignity they so rightly deserve.”

Trump was asked how he would end the war and get the hostages out safely without more killing of innocent peo-

ple in Gaza. “If I were president, it would have never said it. “If I were president, Russian would never, ever have done it to Ukraine She hates Israel. She wouldn’t even meet with Netanyahu when he went to congress to make a speech. She refused to meet with him because she was at a sorority party of hers. If she’s president, I believe that Israel would. Not exist from two years from now…. She hates the Arab population because the whole place is going to get blown up, Arabs, Jewish people, Israel will be gone….” Trump said he would settle that ended before becoming president.

Harris, who is married to a Jew, Trump stared at Trump shaking her head in disbelief and said, “That is absolutely not true. In my entire career and life, I have supported Israel. He knows that. Once again, he is trying to divide and distract from the reality. It is well known that Donald Trump is weak and wrong on national security and foreign policy.

“It is well known that he admires dictators. He wants to be a dictator on day one according to himself. It is well known that he has said of Putin that he can do whatever the hell wants and go into Ukraine. It is well known that he said when Russia went into Ukraine it was brilliant. It is well known that he exchanged love letters with Kim Jong Un,” the president of North Korea, said Harris.

“It is absolutely well known that these dictators and autocrats are rooting for you to be president because it is so clear that they manipulate you with flattery and favors and that is why so many military

Leaders who you have worked with have told me that you are a disgrace. That is why we understand that we have to have a president who is not consistently weak and wrong on nationally security including the importance of upholding and respecting the highest regard on military.”

rump continued to accuse Biden of letting in millions of immigrants he blames on rising crime. However, Muir checked him on that citing the FBI who said violent crime is down.

Having been raised middle class by a mother who worked and saved and bought her first home when she weas a teenager, Harris said if elected, she would bring the values to the importance of home ownership. “Not everybody was handed $400 million on a silver platter and then file bankruptcy six times. She vowed to work with the private sector and home builders to increase three million homes by the end of my first term.”

Trump said if Harris is elected, she will take away peoples’ guns a charge Harris hotly denied. She vowed to protect Social Security and Medicare, protecting women and children from violent crime promising to “standing up for those who are most vulnerable. My values have not changed,” Harris said. “What is important that there is a president who actually brings values and a perspective of lifting people up and not beating people down and name-calling. A true leader is who understands is that strength is not beating people down. It’s lifting people up, and I intend to be that president.”

Trump denied he was given $400 million saying he received a “tiny fraction of that” and that he built it into many “billions of dollars.” He accused Harris of wanting to defund the police. Trump called Harris a “radical left liberal” which Harris denied.

Chicago IL: Despite strong opposition from a majority of aldermen, a defiant Mayor Brandon Johnson appointed six Chicago Public School (CPS) nominees to Board of Education replacing the entire board that resigned last Friday during his face-off with CPS/CEO Pedro Martinez who refuses to resign after opposing the mayor’s alleged request to approve a $300 million high-interest loan needed to pay for teacher raises and nonteacher CPS pensions.

“I was elected to fight and fight I am,” Mayor Johnson said during a lengthy press conference held Monday, October 7th, at the Sweet Holy Spirit. Church, 8621 S. South Chicago Avenue, headed by Bishop Larry D. Trotter, who along with Pastor Walter Turner and scores of other faith-based leaders made it clear they were standing with the mayor on replacing the entire board that resigned on October 4th.

“We are 110 percent behind Mayor Brandon Johnson,” said Bishop Trotter reminding people that Johnson is the elected mayor. “We cannot back down. We must trust him in this process and in the job, he was elected to do. We

cannot function without a Board of Education because our children’s lives and education are at stake.” Trotter introduced the mayor, but just as Johnson was preparing to introduce

his six nominees, a handful of protestors shouting, “not legit, not legit.” Eventfully, they were removed from the church but kept up their chants and demands outside.

One of the protester’s, 7th Ward activist Jocilyn Floyd, later said their issue

with Johnson is his demand that Martinez go along with approving a $300 million “payday loan without first viewing other options like renting out the 50 empty, underenrolled, low-performing schools that were closed in 2013 by Mayor Rahm Emanuel. They are still paying bills for the lights, gas and plumbing in those buildings,” Floyd told the Chicago Crusader.

“These empty building are still generating lights, gas, plumbing and security bills,” Floyd stated. “Why aren’t they being leased out rather than generating debt?”

She and her group also opposed Johnson’s wanting a “short-term, high interest” loan to pay for teachers raises an idea Floyd describes as a “payday loan” she described as “completely ridiculous.”

Asked if she has confidence in the six new board members, Floyd believes they will be “no more than lackeys or puppets for this mayor who is stuck on his ego trip right now.”

The mayor and Martinez, who makes $306,706 a year, remain at loggerheads over the $300 million high

Continued from page 24. Johnson interest loan to pay for teacher raises and non-teacher pensions. Martinez, who was appointed by former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, refused to sign unto the high-interest loan creating a stand-off with the mayor and with most of his 50 aldermen. “I was elected to fight and fight I am,” Mayor Johnson told reporters.

In their letter to the mayor, the aldermen said, “Taking out a $300 million, high-interest payday loan is not a smart decision when CPS is already facing a massive deficit and the city an almost $1 billion deficit.” With the federal COVID relief funds now gone, the aldermen said, “It is critical that CPS leaders keep the interests of taxpayers and our children top of mind as they make budget decisions that will impact the District for decades to come.”

One of the many ministers joining Mayor Johnson was Pastor Martin G. Hunter, who heads Grace Memorial Baptist Church, who said, “The media and the community-at-large he opposition to Johnson’s educational situation sends a message, according to Hunter. “The message that comes out is that a heterosexual Black man can’t run the city of Chicago or no city like it. Why don’t we put our arms around him instead of trying to make him a villain,” Hunter said calling on the Black community to support Johnson.

Johnson appointed the six nominees three days after 41 of 50 aldermen sent him a letter urging him not to make the appointments before they could hold a hearing. However, the nominees do not need aldermanic approval. Johnson made it clear that he is the only legal person to make the appointments and that there is no reason for the aldermen to hold a hearing on this matter.

Despite aldermanic objections, Mayor Johnson nominated Olga Bautista, who is the co-executive director of the Southeast Environmental Task Force, Michilla Blaise, who is chief of staff for

Cook County Comm. Frank J. Aguilar, Mary Gardner, the widow of Joe Gardner who was a political aid to Mayor Washington, Rev. Mitchell L. Ikenna Johnson, former executive director of Developing Communities Project known for his economic development skills that have helped the economic growth of churches, Deborah Pope, an educator and former USDA Food and Nutrition, and labor organizer Frank Niles Thomas. Bautista and Rev. Johnson spoke during the press conference giving the mayor their full support.

The mayor thanked the previous board and believed his new nominees will follow suit and support his five-year strategic plan during this transformational period. He made it clear that the six nominees remain in a vetting status before they are sworn into office hopefully before the October 24th school board meeting. Johnson said he will appoint a seventh member later. He said this is not the first time that the Board of Education members resigned. It happened last year and at that time he appointed new ones.

Jennifer “Jen” Johnson, deputy mayor of Education, Youth and Human Services, also thanked the previous board saying, “It’s a hard thing to stand up against the old guard and the powers that wish to thwart progress and maintain the inequitable policies of the past.” She said the old board members knew they were not to stay during this transformation and that the mayor has the “full authority” to make these appointments.

A testy Mayor Johnson told reporters that he is not writing a new board nominating script but is actually following the nomination process he says has been used previous mayors for the past 75 years.

He also referred to past CPS/CEO’s who allegedly took money from the students’ programs for developers. Johnson said he is not “going down that road” and will fight for the children especially African Americans he said

have been left behind. Johnson wants all schools to have high standards for education including funds that can make that happen.

Johnson’s political nightmare began when he allegedly wanted his $360,706-a-year CPS/CEO Pedro Martinez to resign reportedly because he refused to sign onto a high interest, short-term $300 million loan to pay for teacher raises.

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) is asking for a 9 percent raise but CPS is only offering a 4 percent raised. All of this is happening while the teacher contract negotiations are ongoing.

And, while Johnson has six new board nominees, who still have to be vetted, getting rid of Martinez, who was appointed by Mayor Lori Lightfoot, will be a complicated process. In 2023, the school board amended Martinez contract by expanding the definition of “firing” adding the condition of “for cause” that relates to his duties as CPS/CEO.

If Martinez is fired “for cause,” he is not entitled to severance pay; however, if he is fired “without cause,” his contract states he can remain as CEO for sixmonths, and he is entitled to five months severance pay, according to WBEZ.

Pastor Hunter believes “The Black community needs to wake up and push harder for this young man and give him a chance to be the leader because if we lose him, we will lose the opportunity to ever run the city again with a Black person at the helm of the city. The message that comes out is that a heterosexual Black man can’t run a city like Chicago or any city like this one.

He hasn’t been in office long enough for them to be jumping on him.” Johnson was asked by a reporter if he is going to London to watch a game. Bristling at the question he called “disrespectful,” he said he is going to London to get business for Chicago

hile our Founding Fathers bickered over the process of choosing a president, slaveowners won in the end signing a law that allows the Electoral College to choose who sits in the Oval Office an agreement that protected and enabled slave owning white men to hold onto their political power.

tor of the documentary talks about the infamous January 6, 2021, insurrection that took place at the Capitol where five people, four protesters and one police officer were killed along with 140 who were injured.

disclosed more than $100 million in liabilities for recent legal cases.

And today s political scene is no different than in 1787 when our Founding Fathers finally came up with a compromise that selects the president of the United States today a system that needs to be abolished just like Abraham Lincoln s Emancipation Proclamation effective on January 1, 1863 declaring the freedom of enslaved in Confederate controlled areas, which affected most of slaves, and the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed in 1864, ratified by 27 of the 36 states on December 6, 1865, and declared on December 6, 1865. As you know, Texas was the last Confederate slave territory to proclaim freedom of slaves on June 19, 1865, a day we now call Juneteenth.

The insurrection took place after Trump spoke to his supporters telling them to gather at the U.S. Capitol and try to convince members of Congress to delay the constitutional process that would affirm Biden's presidency, and obeying their leader, they did just that breaking out windows, doors and invaded the Capitol in an attempt to stop the counting and confirmation of the presidential vote. They wanted Trump to win, not Biden and to this day the big lie Trump and his followers keep saying is that he, Trump won the 2020 election which. Is a BIG LIE. So, five people died because of this LIE and 140 were injured, and yes, Trump knew he was lying and he continues to do so to this very day.

So are we stuck with an Electoral College system that ultimately allotted more Electoral College votes to slave states, when slaves were counted as 3/5th, and free states were given fewer Electoral College votes a system. For 32 of the Constitution s first 36 years, a white slaveholding Virginian occupied the presidency, according to Time Magazine.

You can t believe a word that comes out of his mouth even if he puts his hands on the bible the bible he calls the God Bless USA bible he is selling today for $59.99 to raise money for his campaign. Guess what? His bibles are printed in Chinta a country he has accused of engaging in unfair trade practices and stealing U.S. jobs. According to the. Associated Press, his shipment of 120,000 bibles cost $342,000 but the potential sale revenue amounted to $7 million.

Today this antiquated Electoral College gave us presidents like Donald Trump who in 2016 won the presidency by securing the Electoral College majority vote even though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. So, why don t we have one person, one vote? Maximina Juson, the direc-

Jelani Cobb, who is also the Dean of Columbia Journalism School, spoke 48 hours after the failed assassination attempt of Trump during a Pennsylvania rally about the way we vote saying, One Person, One Vote that aid citizens in comprehending our democracys structure. The idea of democracy has gotten lost in so much of what we see going on in our politics right now,” he said. And when people lose faith in democracy, they gain faith in their guns. We start shooting at each other."

And the physical and verbal lies continue to flood the airwaves and the Internet with lies about Democrats especially against Democratic Nominee Kamala Harris and her Vice President, Tim Walz by Trump and his Vice President pick, JD Vance, both of whom have accused Haitians of eating Springfield, Ohio pet owners of eating their dogs and cats. How stupid, how outrageous, how desperate can you get? How far will the Trump and his followers go just to get votes?

More important, when will all voters open their eyes and realize that Trump is mentally imbalanced and as several of his former cabinet members have said, he is UNFIT to ever be in the White House again.

According to CBS news, Trump, who licensed his name in in partnership with country singer Lee Greenwood for the branded Bible, has so far earned about $300,000 in royalties from the deal, according to the former president's financial disclosure forms. rump owns $1 million in crypto. Or are the Trumpsters like those Jim Jones followers back on November 18, 1978, when more than 900 people died in a mass suicide murder drinking a poisonous Kool Aid, he prepared for them. Trump s lies will haunt his followers if he is elected. Trump has told us he wants to be president for life. Our democracy is at stake so please vote on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and help save our country.

We shall see on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, if their mountain of lies work. Continue on page 27.

midst difficulties, God Intervenes: Spiritual Warfare Continues as Minorities Mirrors Israelites Battles with Pharaoh!

For our edification, should we not remember the enslaved Israelites and their struggle for freedom? Can we recall that Pharaoh granted the enslaved their freedom only following enormous spiritual pandemics? God Did Intervened!

The holy scripture teaches that there is nothing new under the sun. Today’s Pharaohs look to rule in the 21st Century from their manufactured thrones. And, while humanity with babbling tongues goes about daily political routines, how

the large body of water placing all who were held in bondage on dry land. The only persons suffering loss were Pharaoh’s army who raced to place the Israelites back into bondage the waters overwhelm the army. God Did Intervened!

Then again, in the Israelites wilderness experience, they murmured and complained against Moses and his God. Because of their murmuring, God allowed the once captive enslaves to circle around in the desert for 40-years when the promised land was just over the hill!

In that there is nothing new under the sun, the same scenario is likened to this day where many people have turned

But who dares to listen? But still the love of God Intervenes.

Moses the appointed and anointed leader, heard the voice of God and delivered the Almighty’s commands to Pharaoh who dismissed them as a hoax.

An individual today facetiously proposes to be an infallible messenger from a false-god while holding the holy bible upside down while with a demonic spirit that would quote the word of God erroneously – thus, he committed blasphemy, where the bible says there is no forgiveness! This spirit from the pit of Hell was sent to rob God’s created persons from life abundance. Still, the love of God intervenes.

Following countless loss in the land, ruler Pharaoh conceited to the strong arm of God and the Israelites were released from the monstrous hand of the leader. The once enslaved rejoiced at their being released, until they had unpleasant episodes in the desert and at the red sea, but even then, the Almighty God displayed His mighty works by feeding the travelers manor from above and, separated

ith days before the general election and just a week after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has secured the delegate vote, raised more than $200 million and some polls are showing her inching ahead of Trump with large numbers of white men and women, an elated Father Michael L. Pfleger shouted, “just watch Black girl magic.”

Pfleger turned to Acts 16:16-18 to make his case about the Harris campaign. Those chapters referred to the jailing of Paul and Silas, who were arrested and beaten for commanding an evil spirit out of a slave girl that had been following them. It was Paul’s exorcism of the slave girl that caused their imprisonment. They were locked up deep into the prison, shacked and watched carefully by guards.

While Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God causing an earthquake that opened “and the prison doors and loosened their chains. All the prisoners were freed. Paul and Silas experienced a God moment when God shook the prison doors open. I believe we are experiencing a God moment now when God is shaking the very political system in America and all her stereotypes and prejudices. A new day of possibility is before us.”

He said last week 50,000 Black women on the phone raising almost $50 million, and 40,000 Black men raised almost 1.6 million, but white women broke the Internet with 164,000 women for Kamala Harris. Pfleger said white women in an all-white village in Florida that was Trump area, had 500 golf carts with “Kamala Harris signs on them. There’s something going on, and the gatekeepers’ hands are being loosen, and God is getting ready to shake racism, poverty, sexism. He’s shaking all kinds of phobias that we got in this country.

“And now, them neglected, the most disrespected and unprotected person is now running for the president of the United States,” bellowed Pfleger twirling his handkerchief around in the air. I believe the most neglected, unprotected and the most disrespected person in America is not the candidate for the president of the United States of America.

He quoted Malcolm X’s May 22, 1962, Los Angeles speech when he said, “The most disrespected person in America, is the black woman. The most un-protected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America, is the Black woman. “On a Sunday morning, at the 11th hour, 100 days from the election, Joe Biden stepped down,” bellowed Pfleger during his Sunday, July 28th, sermon. “When Joe Biden stepped down, a Black woman stood up. A Black woman Malcolm X said is the most disrespected in America. Malcolm X said a Black woman is the most unprotected woman in America. Malcolm X said a Black woman is the most neglected in America.”

Pfleger said when, “God allowed Joe Biden to stand down, God raised up a Black woman to stand up. You talk about the Black Girl Magic, baby The white wealthy men are shaking. The Plutocrats are shaking. The foundations of America are shaking. They are shaking because the winds”

Referring to a recent Zoom call, dubbed, “White Women: Answer the Call,” organized by Shannon Watts, saw 164,000 participants that crashed the Net causing a blackout with a sign saying, “We’ll be right back.” The women raised a reported $2 million in just an hour. A similar Zoom by, “White Dudes for Harris,” was held adding to a rise of support for the Vice President who has only been on the campaign trial for a week since President bowed out of the race on July 21st.

“White women and the white dudes for Harris demonstrates the hunger for change and her ability to touch hearts and minds across all races and gender,” said Father Pfleger. “She is a breath of fresh air.” Harris, who if elected will be the first Black female president and first South Asian American to hold that office, is crisscrossing the nation spinning an ethnic quilt of support determined to leave no one behind including Native Americans and the LGBTQ+ community. Pfleger said if Biden hadn’t stepped do when he did, white, powerful men would have chosen one of their own.

An equally excited Rep. Davis urged the Black community to “sustain what you’re doing” and said, “it’s more than Black Goil magic because white dudes are now jumping on the Harris Freedom train.” While the Zoom calls were not Continue on page 31.

organized by the Harris campaign, Rep. Davis said, “Keep them going even if it’s 10 people on the Zoom call.”

Northeastern University Emeritus Professor Robert Starks said, “Those white man and women who are supporting Harris understand that she is the link to the future. Trump is a link to the past. Trump wants to take us back to the 1800s with the Christian nationalists and their philosophy in command. Trump is a racist and misogynist….”

another one of those answering the call for the Freedom train is Illinois Senator Mattie Hunter (D-3rd) who said she is enthusiastically endorsing Vice President and Soror Kamala Harris.” When asked if the nation is ready for a Black female president, Sen. Hunter said, “It’s time to get ready.”

publicans who “teamed up to file numerous lawsuits in order to block any third-party candidates form being on the November ballot.

“As one of the Chinese college students protesting for democracy at Tiananmen Square in 1989, I felt betrayed by the Democrats with their obstruction of democracy.” And because of that she joined the Green Party and became the chair of the Cook County Party, but she is backing Harris for president.

Another new supporter of Harris is Zoe Ma, founder of the Chinese American Alliance for a Greater Chicago, who said, “As an Asian American woman who has experienced discrimination in my professional life, I support the nomination of Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party.” When asked if America is ready for a Black female President, Hunter said, “It’s time to get ready.”

Speaking on WVON’s “ON THE CASE,” Sunday, July 28th, Rep. Davis listened to one caller who said she has a “feeling” that Harris is not the right candidate and isn’t sure who she will vote for. Davis said for those who are in doubt or sitting on the fence “they won’t be able to talk” if Harris is not elected. A welltraveled politician, Davis said, “If you’ve ever been in countries as I have where the politics were closed and people were afraid to talk about the government and if someone wanted to say something about it, they would whisper.” The answer for a November 5th victory, Davis said, “is to keep hope alive” and come out and vote.

However, Ma has a problem of the process leading to Harris’ presumptive presidential nomination saying it is “not very democratic and inclusive.” She was referring to the March 9th primary when Joe Biden was elected. She argued “that should have been the process to make sure no other candidates could replace him no matter what happens. That’s against democratic values that Democrats preach all the time.” She referred to Democrats and Re-

And, as Harris continues to vet several potential vicepresidential picks, her endorsements are still increasing including possible candidates Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper and Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is mentioned as a possible vice president pick, who is out on the campaign trail pumping votes for Harris. Harris has until August 7th to pick a vice president for her Democratic ticket. “Just watch the Black Girl magic,” said Pfleger getting a standing ovation.
