Congratulations to Associate Solicitor Delyth in our Residential Conveyancing team who completed the London Marathon in 3 hours and 10 minutes!
An impressive time and overall place of 5374. What an achievement!

Newport Marathon - Complete!
Well done to Catrina, Abigail and Helen for running the ABP Newport 10K on Sunday - and well done to Ryan and Ffion for running the ABP Half Marathon.
Between them, they’ve raised over £1,133.15 as the last bit of fundraising for Sparkle who were our Charity of the Year for 2023/24.
Your Charity of the Year for 2024/25
#TeamHE’s Charity of the Year for 2024/25 is All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary who are based in Cwmbran.
The sanctuary operates a programme of rehabilitation and re-homing of injured, abused, unwanted and orphaned animals. We will send out more details about how we can help and support them in due course.
Promotions!
Huge congratulations to Will Watkins, Leah Thomas, and Jamie Beese for their promotion to Partner. Congratulations also go to Ashleigh Hill who is now a Senior Associate in our Clinical Negligence department.
IT Upgrades & Things!
During the past 4 months, the Owners have invested heavily in improving our Network and Infrastructure. These include:
- Re-cabling the Server Room
- Upgrading 21 Servers and the project is still ongoing (scheduled to be completed weekend of June 8 2024)
- Upgrading the Firewall and upgrading the Wi-Fi System
Darren says: “As you can appreciate this has/is a lot of work and we have endeavoured to keep the downtime and disruption to a minimum to which I believe we have achieved, hence the reason why I look so tired!
“In order to better assist you with your queries we have created a ‘K Drive’ or Knowledgebase (as we like to call it) with some of the more recurring niggles we get using computers. In addition, here are some things you can assist with when outside the office:
1. Cannot connect to the VPN? = Firstly check your home broadband or the network you are connected, try and open the BBC webpage or similar, and check you are typing the correct password.
2. Cannot connect to P4W? = Check connection to VPN.
3. Cannot access Network Drives? = Check connection to VPN.
Always check to make sure you are connected to the VPN and if you have exhausted all of the above then by all means send IT an email or ring us on the Byphone app by dialling 625.
