MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL DR A BARNES It is indeed my pleasure to welcome you to Glenwood High School’s annual Primary Schools’ Cricket Festival. This event has become an integral part of our cricket programme and we are very pleased to be given the opportunity to watch the younger cricketers in action on our fields. Cricket is a major sport at Glenwood and we place a great deal of emphasis on the development of the game within our school. Every single cricketer at Glenwood is important to us. Cricket is part of our history spanning over 108 years and involves nearly half the number of boys in the school on a weekly basis. We travel extensively to play cricket against top schools in the province and the country; certainly an exciting incentive for young boys to play at the highest level. MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF CRICKET MR BRANDON SCULLARD Dear players, coaches, parents and guests. 2019 marks the 4th year of the ‘Glenwood Cup’ U13 Cricket festival. This year we welcome teams from near and far and hope that all our new teams have a memorable festival. The Glenwood Cup has been the starting point to many future Glenwood boys’ careers and seen them go on to further achieve Provincial and National colours. This cricketing weekend has always been about competition, camaraderie, developing friendships and promoting a healthy sporting lifestyle. It is our sincere hope that you have a rewarding experience here with us at Glenwood and that you play to the best of your ability.
