Switch on in Pickering 24 November 5pm at the Community Festive Market in the Market Place. There will be a childrens candlelight procession and Stape Silver band in the afternoon. Santa will also be arriving.

Switch on in Malton 29 November From 5pm switch on at 6pm. Primary schools choir, Malton Male Voice Choir and White Star Band.

HALLOWEEN DANCE 2nd November

once again starting their autumn and winter charity dances at Ryedale Indoor Bowls Club, Scarborough Road, Norton 7.45pm - 11pm (doors open 7.30pm) “Come Dancing” Halloween Charity Dance in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care (local branch). Modern and old time ballroom dance: Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Jive, Rock and Roll, Old Time, Some Sequence. Raffle, spot prizes and licensed bar. As this is a halloween dance, dress is optional and the colour scheme is red and black (masks not too scary please). Tickets £5 on the door. All dancers are invited. Non dancers are also invited to attend to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and enjoy the music. All enquiries to 01653 694431.
