Why should someone hire a PT?

For knowledge and safety. A personal trainer will analyze your body, discuss your past and current injuries, your goals, and create a plan to help you safely and effectively reach those goals. Everyone is different, so the approach will vary from person to person.

How do you find a good trainer?

First, you have to realize that you will see your trainer one to five times per week, so it’s important to make sure it’s a good fit and that you feel comfortable spending so much time with this person. Second, you can ask your trainer about their certifications and which training school they graduated from. Many trainers also attend workshops and classes to further their knowledge. As a precaution, you may want to check their credentials and experience as well as get referrals from trusted sources.

What is ONEFIT? (www.onefit.com)

ONEFIT is a personal digital fitness program that works as follows: first, we conduct a virtual assessment. Based on that information, we create a personalized fitness program that is tailored specifically to you. This program is easily accessible through your phone or computer. You have a coach who oversees the program, and you can complete the workouts on your own schedule. You also have support from a trainer 24/7. One of the benefits of this type of program is that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on a personal trainer.

What celebrities are you currently training?

Our favorite, Andy Cohen. Love him! I believe we met around 2015 or 2016 and believe it or not, we’re not bored of each other, we have fun, we have good workouts, we laugh, we learn from each other. He is learning exercises and I’m learning English, about pop stars, and American culture. He is a great human being and an amazing dad. Take us through a standard day of training.

A typical day for me starts at 7 am, I shower and go to work. After seeing one client, I have breakfast and coffee. For lunch and dinner, I usually eat a high protein, low carb meal. As far as working out goes, I am currently in maintenance mode and not trying to decrease my body fat. I do lower body, upper body, cardio/ core, and boxing workouts 1-2 times per week. That’s my current fitness routine. To relax, I enjoy getting a massage, using the sauna, taking a cold plunge, or walking around the neighborhood with my girlfriend and dog. How often should you workout?

It depends on many factors. If you are a beginner, it’s a good idea to start small and gradually build up your habit and discipline. Begin by working out 1-2 times per week, for a month, then slowly progress to 3 or more times per week. If you can consistently workout 3 times per week, you’ll be well on your way to achieving your fitness goals.

What does a typical workout at the gym look like?

The fitness industry has come a long way in recent years. Fitness has evolved, there is no longer a “typical” workout that fits everyone. Instead, it depends on the individual’s lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, body movement abilities, past injuries, and goals.

What exercises are good to burn fat and increase cardio?

I would recommend lifting weights, steady cardio, and a better/ cleaner diet.

What 4 exercises should everyone do?

If you have no injuries, are generally active, and have good flexibility, I recommend dumbbell presses, goblet or bar squats with an incline heel, pull-ups, and deadlifts. How do you ensure each person’s exercise program is truly personalized?

It’s important to take the time to consult with each client and truly understand their goals and current capabilities. At ONEFIT, we do this through our virtual assessment, where we spend time learning about the client.

What are your clients’ most common fitness goals?

I would say that losing weight is the number one goal for many people, but it often comes together with a few other goals such as being healthy and staying active.

How do you help them achieve their goals?

Hold your clients accountable and push them to the next level. Sometimes all it takes is encouragement and support to increase the weight they lift. Consistency is key, make sure to schedule sessions in advance and help your clients prioritize their wellness.

What are 3 training principles you live by?

• Show up and do it.

• It’s only going to get better.

• With hard work, anything is possible. Favorite thing about the Hamptons and why?

The beach. It is a great place to be with your significant other, your dog, and your friends.
