Wellbeing Day At the start of the Summer Term, the School celebrated its first ever Wellbeing Day.
Organised by Mr Dean Richards, in his final term at the School, the day brought together the Pre-Prep & Prep for various workshops, seminars and exercises that involved a large number of the teachers showing the pupils different ways to look after themselves and be positive. Workshops took place on sleep, nutrition, online safety, managing defeat and anxiety, team building, and physical challenges and all the children from Reception to Year 6 participated in a mini-marathon to raise money for charity. On a day about positivity and brightness, there could not have been better weather for the boys and girls to learn valuable life lessons. Perhaps the most valuable lesson of all came from teacher Mr James Shone who gave an inspiring and moving presentation based upon the notion ‘I can and I am.’ The message being that people should look at themselves and their prospects in as positive a way as possible. It was a special day, and with the affirmative effects running throughout this term, it is fitting that this opens our final edition of ROAR for the 2017-2018 academic year.
