Teach You How To Choose Cutting Tools for machining Wearable Parts with High Efficiency At present, wearable castings have been widely used in mining, cement, electricity, road construction machinery and refractory materials. Wearable castings are difficult to machine because of the irregular surface, uneven hardness, a large number of hard spots and other reasons. In addition, when machining the wear-resistant parts, it will produce a greater cutting force and cutting heat, which will resulting in greater vibration and shock, will accelerate the wear of the tool, if use ordinary carbide cutting tools, it will often chip, which will result in processing costs increasing. In view of this phenomenon, We recommend to use cbn inserts, especially BN-K1.

1. Features of CBN Insert Cubic boron nitride (CBN) Tool , include solid cbn inserts and PCBN Inserts, PCBN insert is put cbn layer on the forming tools with brazing method. It has the following advantage: (1) High strength and wear resistance. The micro hardness of cbn is HRC8000~9000, only second to diamond. And the wear resistance of cbn insert is higher than carbide insert, ceramic and diamond, is the main materials for machining cast iron, hardened steel and other alloy materials. (2) Good thermal stability. The heat resistance of CBN is up to 1 400 ~ 1 500℃, it can maintain the hardness at 1 200℃, which is almost 1 times higher than the diamond. CBN tool has the ability to resist periodic high temperature, when used for high-speed processing high-temperature alloys, the cutting speed will be 4~6 times of the carbide. (3) Good thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of CBN Insert is much higher than that of high speed steel, ceramics and cemented carbide, and the thermal conductivity of CBN Insert increases with increasing temperature. (4) Strong chemical stability. CBN is chemically inert and is stable in both neutral and reductive media. It will begin to react with carbons In the case of high temperature of 2000℃, it is very suitable for processing ferrous metals.
