Ferlyn is the only 20-year-old Singapor-
ean who can say that she’s a rising K-pop star – after all, SKarf is the first girl group to include Singaporeans in it. But she still seems a little dumbfounded by the whole affair. “How could three years just pass like that?” she said, in disbelief during the press conference. In 2010, Ferlyn and Tasha beat out more than 3,000 hopefuls in a competition held
in Singapore to scout out talents to form a girl group. They began training in Korea, and soon, SKarf was formed. Three years later, Sol has left SKarf, while Japan-born Hana and Korean JooA joined the group. With a new SKarf came new things, especially with their first anniversary on August 14th. To give you a glimpse of this new SKarf, here are some highlights of each member from both the press conference and the showcase.
