BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER

Set foot in The Studer Family Children’s Hospital and you can feel the warmth of family around you — thousands of stories of hope, involving tens of thousands of children and families. They are powerful stories, from extremely premature babies and young cancer patients to victims of traumatic injury and everything in between. We believe that sharing these stories opens a window into what The Studer Family Children’s Hospital means to our community.

During Radiothon, listeners heard story after amazing story of how our Children’s Hospital changed the life of children and families in our community, and they pledged support by raising more than $51,000 to help the construction of the new Studer Family Children’s Hospital.

The Charity Golf Classic is the signature fundraising event for Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. The event not only includes a sought after golf tournament, but also a Spring Bash pre-party raising more than $139,000 for the Emergency Department expansion at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. This expansion will allow our community hospital to better serve the more than 33,000 patients that utilize the Emergency Department each year, making our community a healthier place to live, work and play.

Nineteen years ago, Preemie Cup started with a mom’s desire to give back to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that saved her daughter’s life. Today, the event has grown to include a sailing regatta, stand-up paddleboard relay, fishing tournament and silent auction pre-party.

Preemie Cup is “A Day of Play on the Water,” raising over $93,000 to help construct our new Level II and Level III NICU at The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart. The new NICUs will include 72 all-private rooms, so that for the first time in our hospital’s 49-year history, parents will be able to stay with their children overnight.

The Order of Small Children

The 23rd annual Cordova Mall Ball was an evening to be remembered as more than 200 volunteers and 2,500 attendees came together to have a ball at the mall. This was an exceptional night for fun for a very important reason — the children we serve!

Cordova Mall Ball is the largest community Mardi Gras Ball in Northwest Florida, raising more than $479,000 for a new state-of-the-art Pediatric CT Scanner specifically designed with a child in mind. With only 11 in the U.S., it is one of the fastest scanners, capable of scanning a child in less than 3 seconds. It enhances patient safety, reduces the need for sedation and lowers the risk for our tiny patients who might need multiple scans during treatment. This will be a critical piece of equipment for our smallest patients!
