THOUSANDS HAVE A BALL AT THE MALL The 21st Annual Cordova Mall Ball was held Jan. 23, 2016, and raised over $450,000. Net proceeds will go toward the construction of The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Presented by Wendy’s, the event drew 2,400 guests who enjoyed six live bands, free food provided by 30 area restaurants, a silent auction, a French Market, several libation stations, formal photos and a mobile “fun photo” booth. This event is considered the largest Mardi Gras Ball in Northwest Florida. Over the past 21 years, Cordova Mall Ball has generated more than $4.5 million in proceeds benefitting The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart.

MULTI-FACETED EVENT BENEFITS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL The Preemie Cup, a fundraising “Day of Play on the Water,” was held Aug. 25 and 27, 2016, and raised more than $70,000. Net proceeds will support the construction of The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart in Pensacola. Presented by pediatric dentist Dr. Stu Bonnin, Wind Creek Hospitality and Pediatrix Medical Group, this event is made up of a fishing tournament, paddleboard race and sailing regatta — three activities with one big purpose. Over the past 16 years, the Preemie Cup has generated more than $477,000 in proceeds benefiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
