Life is not simple, there are so many decisions to be made. Some people cope and take it in their stride, others struggle. There is somewhere you can come and talk through your fears and anxieties - no one will judge you, just provide that friendly listening ear. Hadleigh Comunity Primary School School Camp Once again, we have been enjoying our school camp which is for years four to six. Of course, for Mr Jackson, our head teacher, it is his first camp! So far, he has thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and has really got involved, visiting each camp and sorting the equipment. We have had a fantastic amount of support from parents this year – we really owe them our thanks. Hopefully, there will be some photographs to share next month. Lepra Assembly Our children have made a superb effort with fundraising for the Lepra charity and were able to cure around 50 people of leprosy by raising nearly £1000. Twenty two of our children raised the £21:00 required to be presented with a special ‘Lepra’ T shirt – what an achievement! Thank you to all who supported us. Year 2 Money Day Once again, the Ipswich Building Society supported our teaching by providing a variety of activities covering Literacy, Numeracy, PSHE, D&T and History. They taught the children about the origins of money, played a variety of money games, read and wrote stories about using money, and in the afternoon, the children even designed and made their own money boxes (which are now on display at the Ipswich Building Society in Hadleigh). We would like to thank the building society staff for their support. Here is a picture of some of the children making their money boxes. ‘Share’ afternoon On Tuesday 14th June, Year one shared activities with their parents. They made fruit kebabs and musical instruments. It is great to see the children and parents having an opportunity to work together and a good number of parents attended. A superb time was had by all. Year 3 Lions sing sweetly It has been great to hear our year 3 children singing their songs for their brilliant show, ‘Daniel in the Lion’s Den’, which they performed in the third week of June to packed audiences. Well done to all involved.
