Alain Harris It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and tragic death of our Tax Manager Alain Harris on 17 June 2010. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many clients and friends who clearly appreciated his friendly, helpful and efficient manner as shown in the many fitting tributes we have received. “He was one of life’s true gentlemen”, “He was a friend not my Tax Manager”, and “He was always cheerful and helpful” was a continuing refrain. Alain joined the practice 24 years ago and will be greatly missed by all his friends and colleagues at Walter Wright.

Black Cat Club The summer was really with us when we had our delicious cream tea with scones provided by Beryl she assured everyone that the double cream inside was in no way fattening and like trusting souls we believed her !!! Beryl and her husband organised our treasure hunt for the following meeting which took place around Bildeston, the clues they provided were great fun to find. We finished the evening with fish and chips at the Bildeston Crown pub and once again Beryl assured us they were non fattening – not sure if she has shares in weight watchers.!!! The committee will be meeting soon to put together some ideas for our autumn programme and we will be having our AGM on 21st July 2010. It has been a very successful summer and I am sure the autumn will be packed with events too. Lynn Todhunter
