“I was approached by adidas at the height of the pandemic, which was a very difficult time for everyone,” said Magugu. “When we were designing the collection, we wanted it to be very optimistic and look to a time where we will all be together again and celebrate. So to convey that message, I enlisted the help of a frequent collaborator of mine by the name of Phathu Nembilwi.

The campaign imagery features SouthAfrican nostalgia and a proud cast of models including his mother Iris Magugu and aunt Esther Magugu.

“And for the collection, we did a customThebe Magugu adidas

The collection takes inspiration from memories of Magugu’s family and childhood in Galeshewe to bring a bold collection featuring performance and lifestyle pieces.

Adidas Collection An Ode To Women

The collection spans sports including running, swimming, training, tennis, football and cycling alongside a set of casual lifestyle garments. United by a shared passion for inclusivity and kinship, the collection includes a three-piece modesty swimwear set made in part with recycled materials and chlorine-resistant fabric that is lightweight and chlorine-resistant swimwear in inclusive sizing (XS4XL), and gender-neutral pieces with Unitefit – a fit system that is created with a spectrum of sizes, genders, and forms in mind. The high-performance tennis pieces will be premiered during one of the most prominent hardcourt tournaments by adidas’ inspirational athletes Dana Mathewson, StefanosTsitsipas, FelixAugerAliassime and Daria Kasatkina who are passionate about showing support for what matters and encouraging diversity and inclusivity on and off the Magugucourt.officially launched the Finding Beauty collection on August 20 at in an intimate event held at the View Boutique Hotel, surrounded by family and close friends including Rich Mnisi, Trevor Stuurman,Terry Pheto, BoityThulo, Msaki, Mohale Motuaung, Siphesihle Ndaba, Shekhinah, DJ Thickleeyonce,Olwee,LeratoSengadi and LesegoTlhabi.

Inspired by the energy of the women in his life; his mother, aunt and grandmother, the collection carries themes of femininity, inclusivity and kinship.

The designer star says he still has “pinch me” moments whenever he sees his mother displayed on billboards across “TheJoburg.fact that when you drive in and around Rosebank, my mother is on the billboard … it doesn’t get any better than that,” said Magugu. “And these fullcircle moments, I really appreciate because there are so many sacrifices she made for me to be where I am today “They (mother and aunt) started forming part of my artistic universe last year … for Paris Fashion Week, I recorded this round-table conversation … We were going through family photos because I wanted to create a collection that was inspired by the family photos, like those 80s and 90s aesthetics … we were sitting around the table discussing the looks and how they would inspire me.

“I told her we need to create an illustration that is quite joyful. So we decided on an illustration of a woman dancing because that was the very last thing you could do, at that time. So that was the inspiration for the first part of the “Andcollection.theidea of finding beauty in my work, I’ve realised that things that used to sort of embarrassing to me, growing up. I now try and turn those things on their heads and move them into a luxury

“That’space.s how I approach fashion now, in a way, trying to remove the ‘shame’attached to these things. For example, my mother had tapeit (vinyl sheet flooring) in the kitchen that I hated so much. Now, I look at it in hindsight and appreciate the floral print on it.

Acclaimed Kimberley-born fashion designerThebe Magugu’s adidas collection is an expression of his love for family and a celebration of hisAfrican heritage and culture.

“Itapeit.love taking those ideas of home and how I grew up and I always say it’s this idea of turning kasi (township) realities into luxury signifiers. And that’s what I try to do with the brand. And I’m hoping people would recognize that familiarity.”

Themed “Finding Beauty”, each garment features an abstract selection of bright and punchy colours including impact orange and yellow, accents of shock pink, backgrounded by pulse lilac The debut and original collection which was unveiled this Women’s Month, features the celebratory and joyful artwork of a woman dancing, designed in collaboration with local artist and illustrator Phathu Nembilwi.

“So I’m infinitely inspired by the energy of the women in my life and the heritage of my native land. Bringing together such personal stories through design and blending them with adidas’ iconic performance and lifestyle pieces has been an amazing “Theprocess.collection really celebrates all the positive influences around me and a sense of community that is so important to me. I hope it inspires the same joyful feeling in those who wear it,” he added.

Denise Van Huyssteen, the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber CEO, said the newly formed manganese and mining cluster would focus on getting alignment on the key actions that needed to be taken in the Huyssteensector said some of the priorities included: The sector must be properly regulated and the appropriate by-laws must be implemented to ensure compliance. Short-term mitigation storage options needed to be considered, such as the proposed PPC site near the Coega SEZ.This should be directed at enabling the relocation of operations from Markman and near the beachfront to the temporary site, until such time as the new bulk ore facilities were established at the Ngqura harbour by 2026. Earlier this month (August) Dube put elements of the formation he commands on 25 hour standby “in anticipation of deploying in support or co-operation with the SAPolice Service (SAPS)”. The standby instruction came with an ominous warning from the two-star relayed in an internal written instruction. It reads: “The situation in SouthAfrica is gradually deteriorating into unrest due to criminality taking place within the borders. This is exacerbated by a perceived lack of action from security forces to combat criminality”.

About 68% Of South Africans Oppose Trophy Hunting - Survey

Bladsy 17Vrydag 2 September 2022

The growing opposition to these types of hunting comes as the government is considering making changes to the hunting policy in South InAfrica.November 2021, it released the Draft Policy Position on the Conservation and Ecologically Sustainable Use of Elephant, Lion, Leopard and Rhinoceros. This paper proposed the immediate halt to all the practices around the canned hunting of lions and rhinoceros, as well as coming up with the process to close captive lion facilities.

The paper, however, does not propose the banning of trophy hunting. Rather, it proposes that SAre-position itself “as the destination of choice for legal, humane, regulated and responsible hunting of the five big five [lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and African buffalo] species.”

This is according to a survey conducted by Ipsos, for the Humane Society International, a global animal protection Theorganisation.surveyfound

that opposition to trophy hunting increased from 64% in 2020 to 68% in 2022, and that for canned lion hunting it rose from 64% to 65% over the same period. The rise in opposition comes despite trophy hunting contributing R5,7 billion to the economy a year In spite of this contribution, there is a growing global movement against trophy hunting. The UK government, for example, banned the importation of hunting trophies in December 2021.

The 2022 Ipsos survey showed a continuation of the trend in opposition to trophy hunting and canned lion hunting, since the first survey in 2018. Back then, opposition to trophy hunting was 56%, and that against canned lion hunting was 60%. The latest survey found that opposition to these types of hunting was unanimous across genders, income levels and race Thosegroups.whoopposed it the most were the youngest surveyed. It found that 79% of 15 to 17-year-olds surveyed were against trophy hunting. This was up from 72% in the 2018 survey.

Uit Die Woord...

But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be FILLED with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea (Hab 2:14,AMP). ALLthe ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and ALLthe families of the nations shall worship beforeYou (Psalms 22:27 KJV). I love that word 'ALL'. It's time to put the, all back into the Gospel! What is coming is beyond the salvation of souls. It is an entire reformation of the world society, technology, human genetics, economics, lifestyle and spirituality A planet-wide shift into a higher frequency, a higher dimension, touching everyone. We see the original and intended pattern of our lives preserved in the Son. He is the firstborn from the same womb that reveals our genesis (Rom 8:29, MIR). To shape the future, we must look again with child-like wonder at the Glorious SaamgevatGospel! in die geinspereerde woorde van Paulus. Searching for a word to describe the miraculous change Christ worked in the heart of humanity, Paul used the Greek word “KAINOS” being. Reformasie op die aarde word aangehelp deur Jesus se Kruisdaad om versoening te beklink op die aarde met die toetalle mense ras. Therefore, if anyone is in UNION with Christ he is a NEW (“KAINOS”) being (2 Cor 5:17, TCNT). The implications are huge, well beyond the typical Sunday salvation message with 'a ticket to Heaven'. “KAINOS” is immortal and ever living, a metamorphosis. You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God (1 Pet 1:23, AMPC). “KAINOS” is seeded by the DNAof God. It is an entirely NEW CREATION, superseding and eclipsing what existed before. It is an order beyond the limitations of Earth life. Poor Management Is Killing Hospitals, Not Immigrants

“killing” hospitals and health care, not immigrants. They suggest that Ramathuba’s comments toward the patient were incorrect and misguided. I suppose we are playing musical chairs, but instead, we are using beds; eliminating patients –illegal immigrants and locals, in no particular order – while listening to Ramathuba’s verbal Iassault.suppose this is what the human race is. Humans – illegal immigrants and locals, in no particular order – carrying their wounds, racing to the public hospital, they serve the first to arrive there, no wound is deeper And when you are waiting they give you a thin blanket that fails to keep the cold floor at bay

I can’t say there was an undocumented foreign national on a bed my aunt could have laid on, but the needs of many outweigh the feelings of the lady who was “berated” by Limpopo Health MEC Phophi

It is almost eight years since my sick aunt died after she slept on a cold hospital floor for three days, waiting for a bed at an overcrowded public hospital.

Ramathuba’s rant about migrants from Zimbabwe being a huge strain on the health-care system. Like the staff of Moses, Ramathuba’s video of her chastising the bedridden foreign national split opinions. The staff may have rattled a burning bush, or perhaps parted ways and activated waves, but not all SouthAfricans would waiver their privilege on the Amatterfewyears after the death of my aunt, a cousin of mine also met her final exit under similar

It still brings tears to my eyes how her lifeline, a contaminated drip attached to her skin and the fabric of her humanity, seemed to be untangled at the seams. She was attached to her detachment from the living, even though she still had a pulse; faint as it was, a pulse is a pulse and it slowly counted the footsteps of nurses passing by It counted echoing gongs measuring the distance to her final exit as they walked passed her dilapidating frame. It had been three nights and she was terrified of sleeping on the floor, again. I would not wish the same on the Zimbabwean patient who was “berated” by Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba’s rant that undocumented foreigners are “killing” hospitals. Official statistics and audit reports suggest that lack of consequence management, irregular expenditure and shocking vacancy rates is what is

– BUSINESS REPORT Slight Relief at the Pumps - For Now

Mid-month data gave consumers in SouthAfrica hope of a petrol price decrease in the region of R2.50 per litre for September, when the price of oil dipped below the $100 dollar mark. The oil price has risen since, which could dampen hopes of a bigger drop in fuel prices than was predicted earlier this month. Global oil prices rose above $100 (R1,683) per barrel on Monday as the prospect of cuts in output by Opec+ outweighed global economic growth fears for now The Brent crude climbed by 2.6 percent to $103.60 (R1,743) per barrel following a 4.4 percent gain last week, as investors balanced supply side issues against fears that a prolonged global economic slowdown would hurt fuel demand. Following theAugust petrol price decrease of R1.32 per litre, 95 Unleaded costs R24.77 at the coast and R25.42 in the inland regions, where 93 Unleaded costs R24.99.
