With its breathtaking beauty and unique scenery, one of the smallest but also one of the most beautiful waters in Croatia, this little stream has been a particular attraction for many years. Located in the green forest of Gorski Kotar just a few hundred meters from the town of Vrbovsko, Kamacnik cuts its gorge into the Velika Kapela massive and it cascades down the river Dobra whose entrance has been turned into a lake by a dam. The Kamacnik spring is typically karst - the water comes from underground caves. Ranging only 3 kilometers in length from its very source to the river-mouth where it merges with river Dobra, this stream is adorable and, as the local people say,

every meter of its course is different from the previous one. The trails leading over rock edges and charming wooden bridges that overlook a murmuring creek to a beautiful green valley will not only amaze the joyful heart of a pure blooded fly angler but everyone who can't stay immune to beautiful and intact nature as well.
