Founder's Note We are honored to delight your imaginations with the art of psychedelic artist Mark Henson gracing our cover. We believe in our culture and by sharing the love, craft cannabis and regenerative lifestyle that are becoming an everyday part of people’s vocabulary! Day by day, the benefits of a regenerative community are becoming known.

This third issue of Beyond The Goddess features many poetic treasures and shared personal experiences written by craft farmers and global community members. From finding joy in daily ganja work and understanding nature’s cycles, synergizing the life force of plant wisdom in the medicine we make and reviews of some of the tasty strains this season, we also share a multi issue story of how cannabis fueled civil action brought much needed change to the Southern Humboldt back to the land community.

Global craft cannabis is happening! Seeds planted at Product Earth UK by Daniel Montero, grew into an epic adventure to Pakistan that is breaking down cultural barriers and opening people’s hearts all over the world. In addition, our friend Jacques Leapfrog Genetics shares a unique story about the early days of cannabis in South Africa.

Daniel and I won a trip to Jamaica for a delicious vacation. We returned full of inner peace & motivation to continue our work! We are more inspired than ever to share the love of community power all over the world. We have enjoyed widespread support and participation in our weekly Instagram Live Show Thursdays 4:00pm Pacific. Our digital publication is steadily growing thanks to the enthusiasm and love of our readers and viewers. Growth takes time and through your appreciation we are motivated to continue cheering on the Cultivation of a Regenerative New World.

Aiyana is a second generation Back To The Lander. She established Humboldt Synchronicitrees in 2016 with a dream of bringing regenerative cannabis to market.

The entourage effect is like a ballet troupe dancing in artistic rhythm. They have combined intension of providing a transcendent experience. They work with Life Force to expand perception.

I work with plants. With intension I mix plants energies into a salve. I am always seeking the Entourage. I seek for the plant compounds to dance together, to be powerful. To make miracles occurs. To heal people and make their pains go away. That people feel good about who they are.

This is Entourage, also called Synergy. Scientist seek it. Herbalist strive for it. Synergy occurs at sporting events when the home team fans cheer so loud that the opposition starts making mistakes. Then the fans cheer even louder. It’s like prayer, like a holy roller church. Enthusiasm is part of Entourage.

Life Force unpredictable is unpredictable. It is super powerful. It dances together to make healing miracles.

Conception is Entourage. The man and woman become so excited, so passionate, so enthusiastic and alive that the baby cannot help but to be conceived. It’s Entourage, Life Force.

Herbalists: Talk to your plants before you harvest.

Plants are like the feminine energy. They can give you affection, carry your children, manifest miracles. Or they can call you “creepy,” feel used, abused and disrespected. They can turn off.

The intelligent compounds of plants can send it’s healing power to hiding in the roots deep where you will never find them.

Flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenes, tannins are intelligent compounds. They instinctually make attractive colors, flowers and seeds. They direct the Life Force of the Plants.

The cannabinols in cannabis, the Hypericum in St John’s wort, the eucalyptol in eucalyptus or salicin in willow…

The list goes on. These compounds can make or break your concoction depending on how you treat them.

Talk to them. Explain your intension. Tell them exactly how you want them to work together to help people.

This moment is a culmination of hundreds of hours of hard work, years of careful attention to detail and dedication to a vision. Harvesting Cannabis pollen is a sacred act.

This fine dust represents one of the most potent forces of a male plant. In just 5 short months, this incredible plant transforms from a tiny seed often growing between 5’-15’ tall bearing the pollen that will help to create the seeds of future seasons. Without this pollen their is no future, without this pollen evolution stops and cannabis medicine as we know it begins to degrade, slipping towards extinction. It is incredibly important for people to realize just how much the male plant does for us. As stewards of the cannabis plant it is our duty to ensure our plants experience the sense of completion and fulfillment from creating seed while also bringing forward some of the best flower known to California.

As I sit here on my farm with my family watching the first Autumn rain hit the beautiful cannabis plants ,I am thankful. I am thankful of for the gift that I have received in the form of a cannabis seed.

The peoples medicine has called me. The cannabis has healed me and now my future is in the seed.

One of the most exciting and important decisions of a sun grow craft cannabis farmer’s life is breeding and seed selection. On my beautiful 60 acre farm in Mendocino County I run a legal 5,000 square-foot specialty strains cannabis farm in Laytonville, California. Full sun from seed cannabis farm all natural ,organic and regenerative. An award winning woman owned and operated legal cannabis farm since 2016. On my farm this year I am running 14 different strains and 2 competition strains. My selection started with the Emerald Cup award winning Spy Rock Pink Champagne 5th place Personal Use Sun Grown 2022. This gifted seed has been in my family since the 1980's and was dubbed the ladies weed for her awesome creative high.

The Pink Champagne is the most medicinal strain that I personally have ever used. 20 years of testing the Pink Champagne through five pregnancies (3 postpartum depression experiences ) The Pink Champagne is my absolute favorite and if you know me you know how delicious and medicinal this plant is and such a blessing.

The selection process for me is personal. I take everything into consideration. Mostly the medicinal factors I need my medicine. The Spy rock Pink Champagne has saved me!! This particular cannabis strain from northern Mendocino County has helped me with my digestion and stomach discomfort for almost 20 years. If eating out pink champagne is always with me. I always run the pink champagne on my farm. I usually grow about 25 plants choosing the best plant for my personal medicine and head stash and then the next best pounds i’ll choose go to my fresh flower prerolls hand rolled by Humboldt County‘s high rollers. The Terps are off the hook! I am addicted to the Terps of the pink champagne. I am a terp queen!!!!

I consider myself a baby breeder. I absolutely love breeding cannabis. Looking forward to sampling the new breeding projects of Blue Champagne (Pink Champagne x Blueberry Muffin), ABC Champagne (Pink Champagne x Apples & Bananas), Dirty Champagne (Pink Champagne x Poddy Mouth), Long Valley Lime Ice (Key Lime x Ice Cream Cake x Pink Champagne). As a small cannabis farm in Mendocino County I absolutely love seeds that are gifted to me they bring to my farm the excitement and blessings as if it was Christmas morning.

This year again I am proud to be running Notorious THC and Hella Jelly from the Humboldt Seed Company.

These particular strains I have been growing on my farm from the beginning because the genetics are excellent.

These two strains keep the food on my table and my farm alive .Thank you to Mercy Wellness Cotati & Santa Rosa and to Joe and the family at Mercy Wellness for keeping me alive. I attend the Emerald Cup Harvest Ball every year and save my money to purchase seeds that can help push my little farm into the limelight.

This year I chose Compound Genetics. I am running their Jokers Candy and Stay Puft both are a delicious grape gas. Very excited to try these craft batches. As far as amazing breeders go in my area I am blessed with Ghost Berry (Berry White x Ghost Train Haze x Tangy Berry) from South Facing Farms by Mac. A Beautiful sativa plant. When I was vending at a farmers market at the wonderful Dragonfly Wellness in Fort Bragg a man gifted me Blooberry Zkittlez BBZ3 and I popped every seed he gave me. Another famous breeder in our area Freeborn Selections (Jackson ), I am running his Cherry AK x Cuddler Kush x Double Kush F3 very exciting !

And just so everybody knows if you gift me a seed it grows with love. At a recent 420 party I was gifted an amazing strain from out of our area that I have taken great care to grow on my farm this year. that strain is Afghanistan Kush, pure landrace 100% Indica gifted by the wonderful Danny of GW Smoke Break TV and Landrace Genetics. And I can’t forget the wonderful Skunk #1 that was gifted to me from a family member who went to Amsterdam in 2018.

As most of you know I am quietly competitive. With that said I have two competition plants growing on my farm these are clones from a competition called The Grow Off California. The first clone is from the Skunk Grow Off which is a special cut of Skunk #1. This cut is from the Humboldt Legacy Project in Humboldt County. The second is a mystery clone from the Phinest Grow Off competition . It’s always fun to grow a plant that you know nothing about. The Grow off competition is a science based competition where all samples are tested and the competition is fierce up in Humboldt County. I pride myself on winning a big beautiful competition belt #1 Quality Award 2020 for growing Wedding Tree.

The sun is coming out the buds are drying off and I am looking forward to my harvest throughout the month of October. Every cannabis plant grown on my farm is grown with love and we only harvest when the medicine is ready. I hope through this article that you’ve learned a little about me and my farm seed 707 in Laytonville and that I am a very excited cannabis farmer. I love to sing and dance to my plants!

Our brand, SOG Army has ‘Big Energy’ in a little space. We are a small batch, indoor cultivation facility located in Santa Rosa. Our canopy size is 2,000 square feet. We have 2 flowering rooms with 40 lights in each. The most compact but significant room in the facility is our nursery which has 200 square feet. The size of most larger facilities utility closets. To maximize our output, we use double and triple tier racks to house 50 to 60 different cultivars as well as growing out clones, keeping backups at various stages of growth and full-size mother plants. We are trying to ride the wave of having cutting edge genetics on our menu by staying in a perpetual Phenohunt by popping 50-100 seeds every round.

This year has been exceptional for finding new phenotypes. SOG Army participated in The Melt Off, a phenohunt competition where the genetics were provided by Pure Melt Seed Co (@puremelt) and Mendoja Farms (@mendojafarms) to cultivators. Growers hunted out the best cultivars they could find from the seeds they were given. We were honored to be included and won 7th place.

We are growing two new Sativa Hybrids from the event.

First, Strawberry Meltshake (Strawberry Jelly x Strawberries n’ Crème) which is one of the facilities new favorite cultivars bred by Pure Melt Seed Co. It is easy to grow, a beautiful flower and has a unique terpene profile. dominant terpenes are Myrcene and Limonene. The flower has a strawberry scent while the flavor is creamy, with a side of sweet and touch of citrus. The potency analysis results rocked with a 49.65% total of Cannabinoids and 41.68% THC content.

Next, Farmer’s Daughter (OZK x Tractor Fuel) which has a gassy, floral scent and flavor profile. This one was a collab between Mendoja Farms and Pure Melt Seed Co. The plant is like the Strawberry Meltshake in how it grows, a small plant but with much heavier flowers. The terpene profile is limonene dominant with myrcene. The total cannabinoids are 43.27% with a 36.04% THC content.

In 2023, our most popular strain on the market was Pink Zaza (ZR3 x Dweebz) bred by Crane City Genetics.

Not only is it our best seller but one of our favorite cultivars to grow. It has a pleasing smell while flowering that is like a Pink Grapefruit. The dominant terpene is Limonene. This cultivar checks all the boxes. It grows large, resinous, fragrant, flowers that taste as good as they smell with amazing jar appeal and a soaring, long lasting high. Originally, the strain was called Pink Zazai but when we got the seeds from the breeder the “I” was smeared off the piece of masking tape labeling the package. We didn’t find out until it was already released as Pink Zaza and the breeder agreed our name was fire. Even with the mix up there is no confusion about the love for this strain. The sum of Cannabinoids is 40.21% with a 35.03% total THC percent.

My personal favorite SOG Army strain is Blumosa (Mimosa x Blue Cookies) which came from an unknown breeder. In 2018, at the Emerald Cup one of our team members who calls himself “The Gabe” was standing in line at a food truck. He was talking about how rare it was to find keepers in seed packs, when the guy standing in front of him turned around and said “Man, grow these out and you will surely find some keepers,” and asked if he would pass out some flyers looking for his missing dog. Gabe agreed and gladly took a pack of seeds. The man told Gabe it was Blue Cookies x Mimosa and that we would love it. He was right. It has become a well-loved strain by all. After its first round as a tester, we knew we had stuck gold. Unsure of what to call it, BJ made a post on his @sog.army Instagram asking followers to participate in naming it and they agreed on, “Blumosa.” We would love to thank this kind stranger one day and hope he found his dog. We love to grow this cultivar which makes medium sized, beautiful flowers that shimmer with ridiculous amounts of trichomes that are perfect for hash. The Terpene Analysis shows a dominant Myrcene and Limonene. Dustan from Real Deal Resin (@realdealresin_) said it best when he described the flavor as a “Blue Powerade with an Orange Zested rim.” It has been our highest potency test with a 42.52% THC and a total sum of 52.82% cannabinoids.

Leap Frog Genetics: The Early Days written by Jacques Van Zijl @leapfrogg_genetics Our pollen chucking escapades began in the late 1990s during our time in Pondoland (Transkei) on the eastern sea board of South Africa. Cannabis was highly illegal at that time, with severe sentences handed out for possession, let alone cultivation. The Transkei, now part of the Eastern Cape province was, and still is, the tribal homeland of the Xhosa / Pondo people. Tribal homelands were an apartheid legacy and a way of "containing" tribal people which on face value seems highly oppressive, but it had it's advantages when it came to the basic freedoms of the people. The area was and still is run by chieftains and clans. Common law prevails in such places! The long arm of the law certainly had a lot less reach and was thus rendered pretty much ineffective in these self governed territories. Transkei cannabis has always played a very important role in the local and national economy, making large scale cultivation common place in the region. The lack of policing provided a perfect environment for growing weed with reasonable impunity and this is exactly what attracted us to settle down in the area and familiarize ourselves with handling larger numbers of plants without the fear of being busted and going to jail! This would not have been possible at the time in any other parts of South Africa. Swaziland and Lesotho are the other two major tribal regions that fed the South African cannabis economy, but they are independent, land-locked countries and settling down in a foreign country was far more complicated than staying within our borders. We settled down in the Transkei around 1996/97. At the time we were buying weed in the homelands, turning it into hash and selling it in Cape Town to friends and to the growing numbers of young, foreign travelers who would spend the long summer party seasons in the Cape, on the Psychedelic Trance music circuit.

This was the first time we came in contact with high quality Dutch and North American cannabis genetics . There was never a shortage of local landrace seed in the Transkei, but all these plants were deep cycle " sativa" varieties that took 12 to 14 weeks of flower to mature and the flower density was always an issue. The local weed simply did not produce dense flower with large, frosty bracts. Sweet candy, fruity and musky fragrances were not common place in our part of the world either. It was only when we started growing out strains like our first Maui Wowee, Blueberry, AK47, Ice, Trinity and White Widow, that we started to see really fat chunky bud, with a whole range of fragrance and form, that finished up flowering between 8 and 10 weeks. That was completely new to us and needles to say, an absolute revelation for us.

The Northern hemisphere genetics did have it's short comings in our environment. We were growing on the coast, right in the mist belt in a sub tropical climate. The larger, denser flowers of the "Indica" varieties were suseptible to botrytis and the compact structure and broad leaved nature of the plants often meant there wasn't enough airflow through and around the plants in a high humidity environment. It was clear to us that crossing the best of our local varieties with the new exotic varieties may deliver something a little more suitable for our location, and thus began our journey down the rabbit hole of plant selection and breeding. Producing and generating our own seed stock was very much a natural extension of our regenerative agricultural practices. We made and preserved our own seeds of tomatoes, lettuce, beans, peas, cabbage, broccoli, corn, basil, oreganum and loads of other odds and ends. We also collected seed from indigenous trees, shrubs and wild flowers for a good friend of ours, who sold them and that too evolved into us growing a lot of the seed we picked ourselves. I personally had an obsession with wild lilies, especially clivias, agapanthus, cyrtanthus and aloes. I used to do a great deal of breeding on all those plants, so collecting pollen and selecting plants to create new and interesting interspecific hybrids was my thing for a long time. The culture of plant selection, collection, general knowledge and keeping record was deeply ingrained in me. It was only natural that we did the same with cannabis.

At that time we did not know much about keeping plants in clone form. We always planted seeds for every crop. We used to plant out our seedlings into good size patches when they were sexed and would always bag up a decent amount of backup plants to replace any males that we may have planted.

Our first cannabis hybrids were actually a great success. We became very good at singling out phenos that had the qualities we were after. Before long, we were producing nice dense, high yielding, flavourful plants that matured in 8 to 10 weeks of flower and displayed much improved resistance to the local pests and diseases. We developed a good eye for pairing and selecting good plants to move forward with and we also ensured that we had a lot of seed in stock of all the varieties, so that we had plenty of options.

Local farmers that we used to buy weed from soon began asking us for seed when they noticed how beautifully and quickly our gear would finish and thus began our legacy!

In 2000 we relocated to a small coastal town on the KwaZulu-Natal /Transkei border.

Although we were back in the suburbs of South Africa, we had become accustomed to having loads of cannabis plants around from our time in Pondoland /Transkei. We were really brave and also quite feral at that time.

We were properly “ jungled out" and toughened up from our years in the Kei, so we didn't give a fuck!!!

We put up a snow white 15m by 20m shade house at the edge of the forest on our property, that was so conspicuous that it was literally hidden in plane site! No person in their right minds would be so bold as to do something like that, but we were nuts and blessed by the Spirit of the plant. She has always loved us and looked after us, because we love weed so much ! We did have a bit of an indigenous plant nursery going on, just as a "cover", but we were cranking it all day, every day and all year round. In 2007 we drew the attention of Franco Lojacano and Arjan from Greenhouse Seed Company. They were just starting their "Strainhunter" project and were introduced to us by an old friend of ours. My brother and I turned down the offer to become "Strainhunters", because we were way too embedded in our local underground scene and going public didn't seem like an option for us. Our old South Coast friend Simon took them up on their offer and the rest is history!

I remember pulling out an entire crop that was still in veg phase, because these guys came with their fancy seeds of the "best" weed in the world, complete with t-shirts, beanies and stickers for each stain. We replaced almost the entire crop with the new gear and waited with eager anticipation for the world's greatest weed, When they started flowering, we were so disappointed!

The plants really struggled in our environment and it quickly became apparent to us that we actually had some pretty decent gear ourselves, much better suited for our environment and essentially just as good as, if not better in many instances. Franco also noticed and actually told us that he could win a High Times cup with some of our gear! That is probably one of the best compliments we've ever received! My brother and Franco formed a very strong friendship and did some crazy stuff together, but that's a story for another day! Franco taught us the basics of indoor cannabis cultivation and from that point onwards, we began cloning our selections, holding on to them for a couple of seasons and making multiple hybrids from them before moving on. This was literally the beginning of our focused breading projects that we have continued to this day!

In 2019, cannabis became legal for personal use in South Africa and we finally had an opportunity to come out of the "Green Closet" and develop our craft in a commercial way.

The journey continues and will almost certainly take up most of my time for the rest of my days.

Our relationship with this amazing plant keeps evolving and we are so grateful and so proud to be a part of this global community of mostly awesome people, at a time when cannabis is being decriminalized all over the world. We can finally drop the negative stigma that goes along with being a default outlaw.

We are humble stewards of the plant. We have never been criminals! We have always been good people who disobey bad laws.

Too much to do when busy, and too tired to do anything when free. The hole is constantly being filled, but distractions puncture holes.

What’s really important? What passion brings color and life to an otherwise flavorless survival? For me, it’s music and writing.

When I write I submerge myself in a sea of creation. Anything is possible, as long as I step out of my way. I can create, destroy, shape, or redirect. There are no limitations. To allow a story to flow through you… it truly is astounding.

When I listen to music, it wraps around me, and hugs my soul. Whether happy or sad, I feel it. I’ll fly and fall or swim and drown… a truly powerful experience. I want it all. To listen, play, or sing is surreal, I sometimes give myself chills.

I’m uncertain of many things, but of one thing I am determined: When the time comes that my soul must move on, I will have no regrets of not having done what I love.

A Mini History of Southern Humboldt. Community Culture.

Part 2 of 6 - Organized To Protect: Civil Liberties, C.A.M.P Raids and Non Violence Training written by Aiyana Floreterna Gregori @_beyondthegoddess_

In the early 80’s the Southern Humboldt community began to organize for many causes, including against nuclear power development, old growth forest destruction and civil rights. For this it was essential to have an organization to train people in Non violence, which became the core of many activities throughout the next 40 years. In 1981, Robie Tenorio Gregori attended a nonviolence training. Acorn Alliance was going into ‘direct action’ (civil disobedience) against nuclear power development. In 1981, people volunteered to form a non violence training collective. Robecka Tenorio, Bonnie Black Berry, Douglas Fir, Tom O’Neil, and Richard Evans were the first members. This collective was the keystone for peaceful development. The protection of Human, forest and animal rights required this level of training. They modeled it after the non violence training used by Gandhi and Martin Luther King Junior during their respective struggles. Integrants had to undergo official ‘Non-violence training’ before volunteering. All the collective’s decisions were 100% consensus. It soon became essential for all community events.

She met my mother during a nonviolent training session and later they became friends.

“Cecelia came to Livermore Labs to protest nuclear weapons design. We slept on cots that were next to each other for those two weeks in jail.” explains Robie “I worked with E.P.I.C*, she would later join to save the Sinkyone**.” (*Environmental Protection Information Center) (**Sinkyone Wilderness, now an Inter tribal State Park) Explains Robie Tenorio Gregori.

It was a major part of all gatherings and civil disobedience. The collective’s trainings were vital in protecting humans. They were present during CAMP raids (CLMP/COG). It was especially important during Redwood Summer 1991. (You can read about it in issue #4 part three of “A Mini History”). The collective held training in Rio Dell during the apple maggot scare of the 80s..

The State tried to force pesticide use on farms. They trained the forest defenders in Oregon, and even to the police force occasionally, a video of w hich was shown on national news. These trainings were the glue that held the resistance together. They were essential to countless projects in our community. The Back to the Landers wanted to make the world a better place and non violence training was one of the keys.

Thanks to a few plants scattered under the protection of shade trees, Marijuana provided for their basic needs. They had freedom from the 9-5 grind to change the world for the better. The Hippies, or ‘Back to the landers’, gift this legacy of community as their inheritance to future generations. Beliefs that support multiple ‘bottom lines’ in business, such as love, and community, as well as money to create a world where everyone can live the life they love. We want to regain independence, prevent corporate takeover by creating and supporting life systems that heal the land, and fortify our communities while improve life quality for everyone to make a positive impact on the world

Chaos reigned in our quiet Northern California lands. There were some attorneys who had a definitive legal impact, gaining small legal rights battles. Still, people’s civil rights protection. The “Civil Liberties Monitoring Project (CLMP) and COG (Citizens Observations Group) did just that.

Lawyer Ron Sinoway and his wife, as well as Mel Pearlston, helped to incorporate them in 1983 to protect our rights and monitor C.A.M.P’s behavior. Residents volunteered to be observers.

CLMP maintained confidentiality for any information they received. After many subpoenas, C.A.M.P allowed COG to be present. The same collective trained them and agreed to a pledge of nonviolence. Sheriff Dave Renner negotiated with them to allow notification and observation of raids. There was no interaction or civil disobedience at these times. They were simply observing to ensure protection of basic human rights.(From ‘Timeline for marijuana in Northwest California’, (First observed Oct & 1984, (Chronic Freedom ‘Hippies & Weed’ Section P 260) (© Guerra and McBane LLC 2015). After COG’s establishment, people teamed up using CB radios for communication, often needing to take a class offered in town on radio operation. Non violence training was standard for everyone.

Acorn Alliance was at the forefront in nuclear protesting. Many people volunteering for CLMP/ COG were part of this organization, too. They traveled to protest the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. The 1979 nuclear meltdown at Three Mile Island caused fear and led to the formation of groups to tackle anti-nuclear problems. The Von Berg Nevada Test site and Livermore labs were among them. Later, many of the same people joined ‘The Timber wars’ into the 1980s to save old-growth forests along the entire north coast.

There was a report on KERG on the radio since no one had telephones. Most people used CBs. You HAD to have a handle (a fake name), and use codes for communication for safety. Not everyone had a radio, so often people would walk or ride a dirt bike to the neighbors’ house to use theirs. There was a local guy who gave classes to learn how to operate a CB Radio. Teams formed after COG’s establishment, people used CBs with training from a local in town on how to use them. By 1987, they had their own radio show.

In the same year (‘87), CLMP won a court decision to limit CAMP. Low altitude helicopter searches (under 500ft) were no longer allowed. The choppers would often fly under 500 ft despite this. It was rare to get a snapshot of C.A.M.P. breaking the law. It was hard to prove violations. For over 25 years, helicopters have scared wildlife, pets, and people during the summer and fall. We gained some rights, then C.A.M.P. would invent another outrageous way to pursue us the next season. It was a terrible seesaw.

By 1986, Federal District Courts ruled to seize belongings, despite recent “protective laws”. They came in looking for "hidden people," and took vehicles, hunting rifles, money, generators, motorcycles, and ATVs. They often followed this with an attempt to seize their lands as well, due to “purchasing with illegal funds” according to Bonnie Blackberry.

Everywhere there were silent whispers about recent raids. They filled the school halls, town small talk and behind closed doors. Camp came smashing people’s gates and front doors, the butt of a semi automatic pressing into someone’s head if they were unfortunate enough to be home. The soldiers mistreated parents while the children were watching. Running from the cops, downhill crashing through the woods to escape jail time was commonplace. Stories of both raids and close calls filled the school halls. Being home was a significant risk during the growth season.

We felt oppressed, the entire world was against us. Between the C.A.M.P. raids and the Timber Wars, life seemed way too chaotic. Thinking of modern society and heartless destruction permitted by our own government raked my body with tremors and anxiety.

C.A.M.P attacked our community. It forged a bond of trust among the people. We worked to improve community centers, schools and many other nonprofits.

For people who came to stay, it fulfilled their dreams’’ Bonnie Blackberry.

In those days, we lived in a habit of silence. We spoke in a secret code about ganja. People made up an alternate profession: carpenter, plumber, mechanic or business to avoid being a target.

To say we were from Humboldt County was an automatic red flag that raised people’s eyebrows and brought on intolerable questions. We were world renowned as the best cannabis growers in the world. I once chose a trivia card in a tourist trap in Florida. ‘Did you know that Humboldt County produces the highest quality cannabis worldwide?’ I just stood there, mouth open, flabbergasted, before running off to show my friends. We got NO MERCY from the law until 215 passed in 1996, bringing much needed relief to the community. This however created much larger problems during the “Green Rush Era” with the flooding of “New Growers” in the hills, and as much as the “Original Back to the Land'' community worked to educate people to care for their land, grow organic or regenerative stay small and support our community, many new growers only came for the money. This is covered more fully in a future episode of this series article.

Humboldt County is a unique place to live, and will remain so while we work preserve our culture, and continue following our back to the land community values, supporting small farms and business and regenerative living.

Artist Spotlight: Mark Henson Psychedelic Magician: Opening Our Minds With His Paintbrush written by Aiyana Gregori @_beyondthegoddess_ I originally met Mark Henson at a festival nearly a decade ago. I was enchanted by his otherworldly art. He has been one of my favorites ever since.

Mark is one of the more prominent psychedelic artists of the past 20 years. Born in the Bay area, raised in Sacramento, he began his artistic journey early. He was labeled as a good artist in kindergarten as he loved drawing & became quite serious about art by the time he was 14, when he realized he knew what he wanted to do in life. He was encouraged by some of his teachers to continue with art, and was able to make a living and perfect his skills by the time he was in high school. He continued his education at UC Davis where he majored in art. After living in Southern California for a while, then wandering around Asia he settled in Santa Cruz in a studio for a couple of years. Then about twenty years ago, he was able to buy a piece of land in lake county. It was a good location, central to most of the festivals and fairs north of San Francisco and still lives there with his wife.

His art is magnetizing, and attracts thousands of people through his booth to enjoy and purchase his art.

Laughing he tells us how often someone would stay to journey with him and ‘stare at one image’ for hours.

Although often people ask if his influences were psychedelics, he confides finding ‘meditation before the bong’. His original inspiration was Influenced through the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, from a monthly magazine called ‘The Oracle’. Swami Satchirananda who was living in the city wrote an article about how to open your chakras. Admitting he knew nothing about it at the time, but was so intrigued that he tried it out, and was able to glimpse different realities. Laughing, he tells us how he would be in the middle of meditating, to open the third eye, on the edge of opening to magical new realities, when his nose would itch, or there was a loud noise & the mind would start up, and the spell was broken! It became obvious to him why the monks would dedicate their whole lives to the practice. Over the years, he discovered ‘rapid access’ to the magical world and began to use psychedelics as well as meditation, admitting that he is working for the same goal across the board, to help people wake up to spiritual consciousness for a high vibe harmonious humanity. This led him to listen to the voices of nature, & his inner self, as in ‘Inner Voices’.

He learned about the origin of life itself as in ‘Dancing across the universe’. He listened to chirping insects, the crashing ocean on the rocks would transport him to magical realities, and inspire images such as ‘Sylvan serenity.’ Even dogs barking in the distance connected him to the wisdom of the cosmos.

In ‘Rio Encantado,’ his inner hippie wanted to go back to the land, hear the birds singing, and the deer walking across the grass. The ecstasy of making love near the water, as in ‘Fountain of Youth’ or ‘Giver of Life’ channeled him to connect with the essence of love & life. He majestically combines apparently opposing forces in such a breathtakingly beautiful way, he is able to tell an alternate story of their very meaning without using words.

Although idealistic at times about living in nature, he also loves the ‘magical carpets’ called jet airplanes that take us to far away places, as well as electricity and heat. He admits that his own life would have ended over ten years ago, due to medical intervention he continues to weave enchantments with his paintings today.

“God’s creation is so fantastic… To try to put it in paint is a major challenge, to make a tree look like a tree or a sunset like a sunset is priceless…This is the kind of creativity that keeps me going.” Mark Henson Creativity as an innate part of humans, in Mark’s world view. When suppressed it can manifest as destruction or violence, as examples from history have suggested. It is a way to bring beauty and nuance into the world. He questions that if we had more creativity there might be less violence in the schools, cities, and the world in general. Art is a way for him to do his part to foster more positive creativity all around.

All nature is divine in his eyes. We all have different amounts of both masculine and feminine balancing out in different ways. Lovemaking and romance, accessing a “cosmic reality” through interacting with a soulmate has made him want to explore. The divine union between the sexes is quite a taboo subject in this ‘prudish culture’. He enjoys creating loving and beautiful body imagery to inspire romance. This is a way to honor sexuality, to bring back the sacred beauty in a world that often sees through a crude, pornographic lens.

The synergy between feminine and masculine archetypes is present in all sexes, and we are in a search to reconcile the two sides no matter where we are on the spectrum. Living in a time when medical science can actually physically change your sexuality makes it important to discover these aspects individually. He explains that it comes down to balancing them within yourself, in harmony, regardless of how this manifests in your life, or the gender spectrum. It remains vital to become a happy person.

“You have to find balance within yourself where you are, however that manifests on the outside as long as you’re happy, that’s what matters.”

Lovemaking, or life & death are closely intertwined. Both are interwoven throughout his art. He explains that our culture dwells incessantly on sexuality & death, and many taboos surround both. He shows us the interconnectedness of both throughout his art, in nature & lovemaking, energetic and spirit connections and so on. The two are closely intertwined, you can’t have one without the other.

After lying on the beach, under the trees, staring at the clouds, or after a campfire night under the stars, his canvas is full of passion. He sees sea horses, goddesses and gods, people making love in the clouds, and in the fire. Anthropomorphizing nature is one of his favorite ways to let his imagination run wild.

Mark also paints the dark & dualistic realities of our world, such as war & lifestyle, poverty & greed, corporate destruction and more. During the Vietnam war it was “the thing to do” get out in the streets in protest. Some of that has changed while much remains the same, and is even more powerful and less obvious in many cases, destroying cultures, and killing animal and plant species in the wake.

In ‘Wheel of Fortune’ the man is chasing after stuff we’re told we should want by those out to control us. It is cranking up the money for the rich and destroying the world at the same time.

Mark believes we can format some social change through imagery, & the power of positive messages. People can experience an awakening and begin to do things differently. He shows the huge disparity between the wealthy of the world and everyone else, to sow the seeds of intention to create a more egalitarian society with our resources.

He explains how some societies are much more egalitarian. Everyone puts in work together when the need arises, even then there are still economic differences, and some people have more than others. It’s about balance.

“In one of my paintings where a guy is tossing a hamburger out of the window, I was inspired by a train trip in India… I was sitting on the train and the lady next to me had the window seat. She had a big bag of all kinds of food, stuffing her face the whole time we were traveling. Every time the train would stop in a little station, the poor people on the train platform would run up to the windows and beg for something to eat… even a beggar woman with a baby came up. The woman kept shoving food in her face. She didn’t even have the courtesy to put her bag away until the train departed… I couldn't stare. It bothers me how some rich people treat the poor” “Many of my pictures are dualistic, showing the world as it is or as people would have it on one side, and how it would be if we put our hearts and souls in and worked to make difference, on the other side.”

He uses his art to tell stories & inspire positive transformation. In ’Paintbrush Warriors' the painter draws flowers & rainbows out of a weapon, just as people did during Vietnam placing daisies in gun barrels. We can overcome it! the forces of oppression if we put our minds to it. He shows how to create a new world, ‘planting the seeds of culture’, in ‘La Semillera’, and ‘Seed Sharer'. Using art to show two sides, two possibilities to our reality, warfare against people, animals and life on one side, and a “new way of living”, for us to create on the other. With a skilled passionate paintbrush he shows us the way to this choice through our senses. In ‘New Pioneers’, on one side there is active warfare going on, and the man is in the middle walking away from it, using his feet to cross over into another place where everyone is working towards building a sustainable future where we can live in peace and harmony, and share creativity with each other.

Happy Days at Happy Day Farms: Finding Joy in the Work written by Casey O’Neil @happydayfarms As I sit down to write this article fall is flying by. We are in the midst of cannabis harvest, which means we’re also in the midst of planting fall crops, clearing garden debris from summer crops and sowing cover crops. Garlic will be planted in the next week or two, and winter salad mixes, beets, turnips, radishes and cooking greens are being sown weekly. The farm is a hive of frenetic activity with 10 new piglets born recently and a host of animals that we manage for food and fertility benefits.

We start with goals of supporting our family, producing as much as we can from our limited space while caring for the land so that it becomes more abundant over time. We focus on building soil that can support healthy crops and forage for thriving livestock. Part of our philosophy is to maintain high-intensity production zones where we utilize imported compost, amendments, and feed which then radiate productivity out to the rest of the farm and ranch.

Our crop production is based in a rapid-rotation, intensive system that produces salad mixes, root crops, cooking greens, brassica and other cool weather crops during the fall-winter-spring production periods, and hot crops like cannabis, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, squash and basil during the warmer times of the year. Intensive cropping means that we aim for high fertility fertility and space plants close together for maximum production in small spaces. We want bed space to always be planted so that there are living roots providing exudates to soil biota at all times and also to maximize productive value to sustain the economic and health needs of our farm family.

The annual cycles of crop rotation, animal forage and production are interlocking and mutually supportive. We harvest nutrient accumulators like comfrey and alfalfa for mulch, animal feed and making compost. It is important to us that our animals have access to fresh forage each day, some of which we harvest and bring to them, and some of which we bring them to through rotational grazing.

We manage 2 acres of intensively managed pasture and another 18 of rolling grassland that supports a small flock of sheep, 50-60 laying hens, 5-10 Kunekune pigs, seasonal meat chicken and turkey production and one old horse. The intensive management zones have animals in small paddocks made by moveable electric fencing that are rotated every few days so that the animals graze the forage and then move to fresh ground. This gives the grazed area the chance to recover, and the rapid pulsing of grazing/fertility application from manure/urine builds soil and encourages rapid forage growth which also increases carbon sequestration.

We also raise meat rabbits in contained but open spaces where they can burrow and interact with each other. Waste streams from the farm like cabbage and other brassica leaves, weeds pulled from garden beds, and harvested comfrey, acorns and apple drops from our trees and other local orchards are critical components in our animal feeding system. The more that we can close these loops so that we utilize the things produced

In the long term we will continue to reduce feed costs and carbon footprint by producing more forage and balancing the number of animals we have to match what we have available to feed. Each year we transplant hundreds of comfrey plants to new parts of the farm so that they will grow abundant mulch and forage that can be harvested multiple times throughout the warmer months. As we increase this production we will reach a critical mass where we’ll be able to mulch all of our garden beds with comfrey, adding fertility, lowering soil evaporation and avoiding purchasing costly mulch that has a carbon-footprint importation cost. Comfrey is higher in fertility than straw so it adds nutrients to the beds.

We have diversified our sales avenues to be more nimble and able to weather price crashes, bad weather or other impacts like the Covid19 pandemic. We offer our produce and products through our on-farm farmstand, two weekly farmers markets, a CSA (vegetable subscription service) model, special orders, and restaurants.

Our cannabis is distributed throughout California through Farm Cut, which is a brand created and owned by 5 small farms based in Mendocino, Humboldt and Nevada Counties, working cooperatively together to send herb to market in the same way we keep it for ourselves on farm. This means minimal processing, leaving some of the sugar leaf on to keep the trichomes and terpenes intact. We package in mason jars, which we seal up with a vacuum sealer to make sure the herb stays fresh and high quality. Being able to work with other farmers to share the journey means that we can play to each other’s strengths and offset our individual weaknesses. Our farm would never have been able to do it on our own, and we are deeply joyful to be in cooperation with people with whom we share values and practices.

We have been nurturing this special piece of land on the wild and scenic south fork of the Trinity river since 2001. In that time we have cleaned decades of trash and junked cars off the land, restored it from being a defunct, overgrown vineyard to a permaculture site, planted trees, built an off grid strawbale home, and gone through the arduous process to become licensed cannabis farmers in California.

We always envisioned ourselves offering workshops and retreats on our land, and figured we would have to stop growing cannabis to allow others to visit. When Proposition 64 passed in 2016, we realized we could continue to grow cannabis and also offer guests the opportunity to visit.

Something magical happens when you leave your normal life behind and adventure to somewhere completely different. Eating food raised nearby, with care and attention from wonderful farmers nourishes you on a deep level.

Breathing the fresh air, listening to the frogs chirp and the river flow by while you sleep, and disconnecting from society (and the internet) really helps you slow down. Great cannabis helps with that, too. The most common comment I hear from guests on Day 2 is “I haven’t been this relaxed in years.” This feels like success to me.

Our area on the Humboldt/ Trinity county line, near the town of Willow Creek, CA, is known for world class river rafting and kayaking, the Trinity Alps Wilderness area, being the “Bigfoot Capitol of the World” and, of course for producing some of the best cannabis in the world. It is remote and you need an adventurous spirit just to get here, but once you do, you can appreciate the silence, the milky way showing itself every night, and sightings of bald eagles, osprey, otters, bears, mountain lions and lots of other wildlife that call this area home.

And this wildness calls you feel your own deep connection with nature, and touring the farm and communing with the plants helps you remember that it is nature that provides us with everything we need. Food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. Maybe the medicine you need is for pain relief, anxiety, sleeplessness, or assistance in remembering your highest purpose. Taking the time to receive the wisdom of the plants, getting to add your energy to the plants growing in the garden, maybe helping to deleaf or harvest, depending on when you visit, ties you to the natural cycle even more. If you get to consume that flower later,after you have returned home, it can bring back that state dependent memory of feeling connected on the farm. This is also how the vibration we are trying to create on the farm spreads out, one person at a time.

We offer our flowers, our life’s work, in service to the cannabis plant, the Earth, and all her beings. We aim to assist raising the collective vibration so we can solve the many difficulties we are facing in this challenging time. We are still hopeful.

“Danny won a trip to Jamaica!” a friend texted me, even before I heard it from my love. “Looks like you might go to Jamaica!” Daniel was the lucky winner of a four day all-inclusive vacation to a canna/fungi friendly resort Coral Cove Wellness, in Little Bay Jamaica. I was fortunate to be invited by him to go along. At first it seemed like a dream, but nearing the end of the year it became very real! I had been a little apprehensive about traveling with multiple food restrictions and having plantar fasciitis for the past eight months. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity and longed for a fun vacation with Danny so I went for it.

Soon we were on an airplane headed for Jamaica! I’ve never gone to an all-inclusive resort before.

Expectation and wonder sparkled through my body like the sunlight on water as we neared the island to land. The warm humid air embraced us, as did the friendly Jamaicans who welcomed us. Despite the bumpy road, I slept the whole two-hour drive to the resort after a long night time flight. Danny woke me as we entered the gates of Coral Cove Wellness.

Irie, Maurice and Megan warmly greeted us as we entered the relaxed Jamaican high vibes immediately.

Irie gave us the general rundown of the place, explaining that the ocean was deep just out of the rock cove, she showed us the kayaks, paddle boards, fins, swim goggles and the outdoor pool. The dispensary and mushroom menu was placed on every outdoor table. They had a list of excursions and activities as well as morning yoga with Irie.

The table by the reception area had a list of ganja available at Humming Bud dispensary, as well as a list of mushrooms for use. It was very detailed, with four strains, and a description detailing how many grams was a micro-dose 0.25-0.5, a beginners dose 0.5 - 2g, a larger trip 3-5g and a hero’s journey 6-8. Irie also offers a sound healing service to compliment the psychedelic experience for guests.

Danny immediately started talking with them about ganja even before Megan showed us our room! We walked through well-tended gardens, featuring multicolored flowers in bloom. The golden amber colored sand had been carefully raked. Our room was on the second floor of a large three floor white and wood building with eight rooms or so. A wide white porch opened to the beach and rocky cove. A romantic white and natural wood room greeted us with a large open white stone shower. Red, pink, and orange flowers covered the bed! It looked like a scene out of a honeymoon magazine! They made a heart out of two towels and also a pair of white swans kissing, they were made of washcloths in a basket with flowers tucked around it. They folded a narrow green foot cover into a flower on one side and covered it with blossoms.

There were flowers tucked all over the room.

We looked at each other in awe to have four days in this Shangri-La. Our steps were lighter steps already!

The Jamaican humidity welcomed as we walked to lunch. Maurice the Chef delighted us with gourmet jerk chicken, plantains and veggies. Maurice and Irie had some good laughs when Danny pulled out the bud he brought with him. “This is the Napa Valley of ganja in Jamaica and you brought weed?” Irie laughed and showed us the Humming Bud dispensary right there on site. Danny gave each of them some flowers and agreed to try some local flower the next day.

After a nice cup of coffee, I wasn’t about to take a nap. Danny had his stash, downed several bong hits and gifted more Humboldt dank. I was so buzzed by the dreamy reception, the flowers in the room, and the meal that the only thing I wanted was to jump into the ocean! We delighted once again at the alluring flower bed and slipped on our swim suits. Soon we were sitting under palm frond umbrellas with a bong, our poetry notebooks and two enormous smiles! We were children and went straight to the water, quickly realizing why there were water booties available. After getting proper protection, Danny and I floated in warm salty blue green transparent waves. A stunning blue sky with scattered clouds were scintillating with energy so different from California. Like coconut oil melting in the sun our muscles and minds relaxed in that tropical Caribbean Ocean.

The first day was a blur of overwhelming flowery reception and the delicious balm of relaxation and novelty of my first time experience. We got into a good rhythm between our outdoor gourmet meals and coffee, bong hits and poetry, bobbing in the ocean embracing each other in those warm waves and R&R in our private alcove and again to eat, amazed at how hungry you can get while simply enjoying sun and waves! On the move, we simply allowed ourselves to relax. Embracing the waves we looked at each other, laughed and joked saying “What did you do in Jamaica?” “ We smoked, ate, danced, embraced in the waves and enjoyed each other!!” “Did you go anywhere? See anything ?” “No!!” Then after a make-believe conversation with people back in Humboldt, we collapsed into more laughter and commented on how AWESOME it was not to have an agenda!! How energizing it was to dedicate four days just to play and enjoy each other!

That night we had kingfish for dinner, a delightful meal. They decorated each table with flowers and served us delicious and beautiful three course meals followed by dessert. Tired from the journey, we rested while watching a movie and I just couldn’t just go to sleep on the first night in Jamaica! Mischievously I invited Danny out to the pool for a midnight swim! Walking towards the pool under the full moon, I Immediately slipped into a playful natural psychedelic mood. I couldn’t resist weaving enchantment and adventure into the night. The pool was next to the ocean on a large cement landing with a huge ceramic ganja leaf imprinted on the deck next to a table. A sort of spell engulfed us, the warm pool water, the moonlight, total privacy to play and enjoy the night, and Danny’s ever present Bong. I was like a little kid at Christmas! Laughing and joking we were alone under the moonlight, listening to the crash of waves no more than fifteen feet away in the Caribbean ocean. It became our evening hang out spot from that moment on. We decided with the silver moon in our eyes that the next day would be our mushroom trip day. Returning from the humid, warm ocean air to our cool air-conditioned room, we were so grateful to have a comfortable room.

After a delicious breakfast the following morning, we stretched out on the beach chairs under the palm shade watching the waves, blissed out to where we didn’t want to go anywhere. We submerged ourselves in the rhythm of good food, ganja and the ocean. My feet were hurting less and less, the ocean was healing our souls, and my soles!! The mental peace surrounded my overused brain like a cool balsam on parched skin, like cool water on a hot summer day. My mind and body rejoiced at the chance to not overthink anything, let go of worries, and simply exist. Warm waves embrace as we bobbed in the ocean together.

The mushrooms were calling. After a conversation in the salty water we took them after lunch to leave one full day of recuperation after our voyage. A few hours later, another delicious lunch greeted us and we informed Irie we wanted to take mushrooms afterwards.

Our journey began slowly, half a gram at first of Golden Teachers, then a little more later while chilling in the room. We have had such a rare, long period of absolute peace to enjoy together and we are making the most of it! Once we started yawning, we took a speaker and the bong out to the pool and set up on the nearby table. The small beginning doses made the journey take a slow start, but we were feeling really nice by around 3:00 pm. Colors and sounds enhanced, music like a magician’s wand moving us in water or on land. The sky was more blue, clouds taking so many shapes and the water seemed to massage us with every movement. Sensations and laughter mixed with Danny’s bong hits and some fantastic tribal trance, Kaya Project, and soon we were dancing as the Sun sank lower on the horizon, the western sky turning orange. Sunset engulfed us with laughter and fun, feet energized, bodies full of joy. Dancing, bong hits and swimming through the psychedelic mushroom afternoon gave us quite an appetite!

We ate dinner and took a full gram each after dinner to continue our voyage by moonlight. Clouds had been gathering, the moon still full, music more energetic than earlier, enchanting beauty all around. The silver moonlight bathed the land while the ocean washed over our eardrums like constant music. Warm pool embracing like silk while superb energy flowed all around us. Submerged in a pool of blessings, gratitude like rose perfume all around. Higher energy music this time, African drums with electronic, a little electro Latino, and soon it was near midnight. Sandy feet padding back to the room still tripping to that wonderful room. Warm shower and more food!! So glad I had saved a plate! The dried figs, mangos and apricots we ate for dessert had never tasted so good! We dreamed of psychedelics that night!

The quiet room, ocean waves in the background interwoven with leftover golden teacher medicine, was exquisite. Having slept in, breakfast the next day came around 20 minutes before it was over! We slowly sat at our table, contemplative and relaxed. Delicious plantain porridge followed by yams and more fish! Top quality breakfast this time in a gazebo. It was like a snapshot of paradise. I felt like I was glowing a little!

After breakfast we were chilling and the two Canadian vets who Danny gave some Humboldt Dank to wandered over, bloodshot glassy eyes, smiling and laughing! They were talking about their morning wake and bake sesh with my sister Mariah’s (@clear_water_farms) Cherry Do-si-Do, astounded at how it was the perfect high and balanced the head and body while taking away the pain! They were so into it I asked permission to film and got a great post talking up my sister’s home grown ganja.

Danny of course gave them a little more to continue their nirvana experience. After that we were more friendly with them.

We had been planning to go to a place where people can jump through a cenote into the ocean and swim, but the golden teachers left us so relaxed that we ended up enjoying our last full day at Coral Cove in absolute peace. Lying on the beach, writing poetry after lunch, taking bong rips, enjoying the room, staying smiley and relaxed, so relaxed. In fact I forgot about sunscreen and ended up becoming quite toasted on my bathing suit line!

Submerged in the ocean we forgot about everything else and simply floated, looking into each other's eyes. Other times we get lost in imaginative conversations. I spouted off jokes about this or that and we laughed in tune with the ocean music. We stayed and enjoyed the place simply.

Four days is enough time to relax and enjoy. We trust the universe to provide us with more opportunities to explore and travel more and see more of the island.

Of course, it was Wednesday, and we rescheduled Beyond the Goddess Live for that evening. In the afternoon the clouds had fully gathered while we were watching the sunset and gentle raindrops fell. I love being in the water when it rains, we enjoyed it fully for a while, music playing from under the protective roof. We were serene, like warm honey in mint tea and fully present. It is hard to relax while working or at home with worries and obligations. Near dark, the rain fell faster, thunder rumbled and lightning flashed in the warm tropical air. We watched from our room for a while before going to our live show.

Then just before dinner (700pm Jamaica) we started our Live from the same gazebo we ate breakfast in that morning. It was fun, and despite the service dropping four times, we had a full session! Witnessing the enthusiasm people had for our trip was rewarding, and it elevated my mood. It feels good to share inspiration and positivity while enjoying yourself. What a treasure!

Gratitude abounding, we returned to our room to relax and enjoy, then pack up what we could.

We wanted to be ready to go so we could enjoy the morning in the water.

Later on, the pool beckoned us. Rain, thunder and lightning had ceased. The ocean was more vigorous.

Like a mirror, the pool was serene and motionless. The still full moon took a little longer to rise in its first days of waning and peeked down on us from between the clouds as we floated in the warm pool. Blessings rain upon us. Fortune surrounded us. Gratitude is so important as a daily ritual. We prayed for peace on earth. For a ceasefire of war, and to open the hearts and minds of people working together for a better world. We prayed for our cannabis community and freedom of this medicine to remain in the hands of the people. We prayed for healing of hearts and minds, and the wellbeing of everyone. For the guidance from the Divine to serve this mission better and better every day. We slept well that night, our bellies and soul full of vital essence, inspiration, connection with self. Deep gratitude for being so tremendously fortunate in our daily lives, and humility to enjoy our lives with so many comforts. Vitality returning, clarity in my mind and spirit, and even more conviction to keep working towards Cultivating A Regenerative New World locally and globally. We both felt the same, it was in our eyes.

The next morning, another delicious breakfast, and a few more hours embracing in the waves, a few bong hits later, and soon we were eating lunch and packing to hop into the van to take the two-hour drive to the airport. The days went fast, but much slower than four typical days. They packed us with two containers of fish, rice and peas for the afternoon as we had to travel ahead and wouldn’t have access to good food for a while. The peace in my mind persisted, like the warmth of a summer night in August. Weaving magic into my DNA & dissipating all stress, gifting me clarity and strength of heart in face of emotional adversity. It lingers still, like the summer night that never ends, like the warmth of a bright green colorful spring day, perfumed with daffodils, and honeysuckle, weaving silken fibers of positivity and persistence throughout my dreams and actions.

I haven't had the chance to fully relax for a very long time. I didn't realize how occupied and useless my mind becomes when my base relaxation level is still too stressed. As we returned to overcast California, to our duties and obligations, this lingering spring warmth and fragrance clings to my body, mind and soul, like a lover we refuse to release. We both felt determined to continue in love with this relaxation, with this Shangri-La inner paradise, peace, and connection with the Divine. Gratitude for Jamaica fills us. I thank Daniel Montero for being patient to wait until I was well enough to accompany him and all he shared with me. Thank you to Keiko and Coral Cove Wellness for their generous gift! It has been an unforgettable and life-changing experience!

Blade Runner Traveling through time, Like a shooting star.
