A City Gem with Something for Everyone
BY HELANA SHUMWAY
Just steps away from Rochester’s downtown Louise M. Slaughter train station, DL Home & Garden sits at 283 Central Avenue. A historic part of the city, Central Avenue and the train station were the gateway to Rochester in the 1800s, greeting visitors in the bustling metropolitan center.
Today, DL Home & Garden welcomes out-of-towners and Rochesterians alike to explore the 11,500 square-foot showroom, the largest of its kind outside of New York City. Primarily a home furnishings store, DL Home & Garden opened in 2014 and is a place meant for exploration. Owners Bob Breissinger and Brian Coutu, along with their three additional team members, bring over 100 years of combined experience in interior design.
“DL” stands for Designers Library, which spans the second floor above the showroom. As a resource room with over 60,000 hanging fabrics and book samples and more than 200 vendors, the Designers Library offers interior designers and architects a space for creativity and possibility. Indeed, designers travel in and out of state for the magic of this library.
“Between the vast showroom and the Designers Library, DL Home & Garden has something for everyone. With history, charm, and endless opportunity for visions to transform into realities, it is one of Rochester’s finest gems.”
If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Bindi when you visit, the store’s beloved cat that Brian and Bob rescued over a decade ago. MEET BINDI, THE COVER STAR!
A Showroom of Intrigue and Inspiration
Within seconds of walking into the showroom, senses are heightened and intrigued but never overwhelmed. Every piece of furniture is purposefully placed. Every piece of glassware seemingly complements the wall hangings above, which work in tandem with the stylish area rugs below. Don’t forget to look up or you will miss the stunning light fixtures that bring warmth and grace to every corner of the showroom.
DL Home & Garden is the perfect place for those looking for inspiration in their living spaces. In one room, visitors can explore a bohemian flare – a vibrant mix of red, pink, and purple accents with floral paintings set against a taupe leather sofa. In the next, the eye is immediately drawn to a funky, charming wallcovering of blues and greens joined by a stylish gray sofa and golden lamps.
Coutu says he and Bob are not afraid of mixing color. This lends an eclectic, interesting air to the space that keeps shoppers on their toes, constantly wanting more.
Set deeper in the showroom is a fan favorite for those with a green thumb. An indoor garden room lined with whitewashed exposed brick is a quiet oasis filled with plants like jade and begonias. On a rainy afternoon, all that’s heard is the gentle falling of rain upon the skylight.
Coutu cares for the plants indoors, along with those in the two outdoor patio spaces complete with curated sets of furniture and twinkle lights. He believes outdoor spaces are extensions of the home and he loves to garden. Coutu has also installed garden beds on the surrounding streets, filling them with daisies, black-eyed Susans, and lilies. The showroom and gardens are creations of great pride for both Coutu and Breissinger.
At this central hub for designers, Coutu, Breissinger, and the team are always on top of the latest trends and styles for home furnishings and décor. According to Coutu, grays and beiges were the universal colors for designers for many years, but he finds there is often a cyclical nature with trends and says within recent seasons, people are beginning to use more color. Additionally, Coutu says trends have recently shifted more toward traditionalism. With the blending of antiques and more traditional styling of upholstery, colors such as soft cinnamon, greens, and umber tones are on the market.
For Every Occasion
Whether it’s the holiday season, a rainy afternoon, or a sunny summer’s day, DL Home & Garden is filled with treasures and trends that work for every occasion. Coutu and Breissinger bring decades of experience and pride to their work, and it’s evident in every corner of the showroom, the Designers Library, and the greenspaces. Their commitment to the city of Rochester and its people is admirable. With a team of five and Bindi, the cat, in tow, DL Home & Garden truly offers something for everyone.
A Gift for You
This season, those treasures extend to a thoughtfully curated selection of gifts. Hand-picked by Coutu and Breissinger, visitors are sure to find imaginative trinkets and meaningful presents for loved ones. A few favorites:
COMFY CANDLES AND SOAPS
The comforting scents of candles and soaps bring warmth into the home. If you love antiques, handmade treasures, and the nostalgic charm of the holiday season, Holiday in the Valley at the Wadsworth Homestead is an event you won’t want to miss.
Co-hosts Julie Achtyl and Jessie Karlsen, the duo behind Harvest Home Décor, share their passion for creating a holiday market that blends history, community, and creativity.
From Local Roots to Holiday Magic
Julie and Jessie’s love for home décor and antiques started young. Jessie grew up helping in her parents’ primitive country gift shoppe, learning the art of design and how to create welcoming spaces. Julie fondly remembers attending local markets with her mother, soaking in the nostalgia of holiday décor. Though they often crossed paths in childhood, they didn’t meet until college, where their shared passion for decorating sparked a lasting partnership.
With a “dollar and a dream,” they launched Harvest Home Décor, which has flourished over the past 11 years. Since their first market in 2014, they’ve hosted and vended at local festivals, earned accolades, and now curate a holiday market beloved by the Rochester community. This year, they’re excited to bring the magic to a new setting: the historic Wadsworth Homestead.
JULIE & JESSIE
What Makes Pop-Up Markets Special
“Pop-up markets have a different energy than traditional shopping,” Julie and Jessie explain. “The connections between customers and creators are so special. You learn the story behind each product and appreciate the unique passion that goes into it. It’s an experience you just can’t get in a store.”
For both hosts, the most rewarding feedback comes from seeing their creations in shoppers’ homes, hearing about the holiday traditions that take root at the market, and fostering a true sense of community.
“Guests will be captivated by the historical beauty of The Wadsworth Homestead, festive décor, and the cozy sounds and smells of the season.”
A Venue Steeped in History
Julie and Jessie are grateful to partner with Louise and Will Wadsworth, who open the homestead for the community to enjoy its history and beauty. More than just a venue, the Wadsworth Homestead is a historic gem lovingly maintained by the family. Decorated by Maureen Wheeler and her family, it radiates holiday spirit, complete with twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and the scent of wood-burning fireplaces. “It’s the perfect backdrop to transport visitors back in time while enjoying the festive atmosphere,” Julie and Jessie say.
Festive Touches to Delight Every Sense
This year’s market offers more than shopping. Guests can enjoy a food truck, samples from a local brewery, sip signature cocktails, and capture memories with festive photos around the decorated estate.
With over 35 vendors, shoppers can explore handmade treasures including holiday décor, synthetic and dried floral wreaths, wooden flower arrangements, candles, lotions, skincare and self-care products, jewelry, clothing, and artwork. They’ll also find wooden signs, cutting boards, blankets, home décor, local foods, baked goods, cookies, syrups, honey, dog treats, children’s learning activities, and more.
Julie and Jessie carefully curate the vendor mix, blending veteran artisans with new talent to ensure a diverse, highquality experience. They emphasize that meeting the makers makes each purchase more personal and memorable—a gift that carries a story.
Why You Can’t Miss It
For first-time visitors, the appeal is clear: Holiday in the Valley isn’t just a market. It’s a celebration of craftsmanship, community, and the holiday spirit. “The transformation of the homestead into a bustling, festive market is magical,” Julie and Jessie say. “It’s something we think about all year, and seeing it come alive is why we keep doing it.”

Rochester’s Merry Makers
Bringing joy, comfort, & hope this holiday season.
Every gift tells a story — of hope, dignity, and the power of being seen. Across Rochester, individuals like Chris McDonald, Olivia West, and Cheryl Snead are lighting up lives in ways that last long after the decorations come down. Their work reminds us that the greatest gifts aren’t wrapped in ribbon, but in empathy, service, and community spirit.
Chris McDonald: Dressing for Purpose
For Chris McDonald, a good tie has always been about more than fabric and a knot — it’s about self-respect, confidence, and preparation for opportunity. What started as teaching young men how to tie ties has grown into The I See You Journey, a mentorship and personal development experience helping men build confidence, character, and purpose.
“Each session is about more than just presentation,” Chris says. “We talk about mindset, dress code, confidence — the whole picture.” Through his downtown men’s clothing store and lifestyle brand, Crown Collectives, he also donates ties, shirts, and accessories to young men for interviews, funerals, and community events, ensuring they look and feel their best when it matters most.
One moment that stays with him: a quiet young man who after a tie-tying
session said softly, “I actually feel like somebody saw me today.” That comment inspired the program’s name, the I See You Journey.
During the holidays, Chris and his team partner with community members to provide care packages with ties, socks, and hygiene items for young men in need. They also host reflection and gratitude gatherings, reminding participants that “success starts with who you are, not what you have.”
Born and raised in Rochester, Chris brings lessons from his service in the U.S. Army and his leadership as Charter President of the Rotary Club of Rochester Southwest to every effort. “I had strong role models growing up,” he shares, “but I also saw many who didn’t. Helping [each young man] find direction gives them a glimpse of hope, and hope changes everything.”
Looking ahead, Chris plans to expand The I See You Journey in 2026 to include volunteer work, wellness activities like yoga and fitness sessions, and new experiences designed to stretch and strengthen participants. “Growth happens when you’re seen, stretched, and supported,” he says. . . . help someone feel seen, valued, and prepared.

Cheryl Snead: A Calling to Deliver Joy
For Cheryl Snead, helping women find stability isn’t just a mission. It’s deeply personal. Decades ago, she was a young, homeless woman five months pregnant, stranded in an airport with $11 to her name. The kindness of strangers changed her life and planted the seed for what would become The Esther Project, Inc., a Rochester non-profit dedicated to helping women transition out of homelessness into independence.
“What began as friends and family staying with us grew into a calling,” Cheryl recalls. In 2016, she and her husband used their retirement savings to purchase a home on Dayton Street with plans to turn it into transitional housing. While funding delays slowed renovations, the work never stopped. Today, The Esther Project partners with landlords to secure furnished rooms for women in crisis, pairing safe shelter with mentorship, advocacy, and life-skills coaching.
Her reach extends beyond housing. Through P31 Girlz (named after Proverbs 31 in the Bible), Cheryl mentors young women in everything from etiquette and financial literacy to confidence and goal setting.
This winter, The Esther Project’s second annual Christmas Bundles of Joy will deliver trees, decorations, and holiday cheer to 50 newly sheltered moms and their children. “When families are just finding shelter in November, Christmas isn’t on their minds. But when they realize it’s only a week away and they have nothing, that’s where we come in to bring a little joy, warmth, and celebration into their new homes.”
bring joy to women & children.
The team is raising funds for the Moving Truck Campaign, which picks up and delivers donated furniture (they’re especially in need of dressers), and The Purse Project, which collects gently used purses filled with toiletries for local agencies to distribute. This program helps The Esther Project create pathways for support as women transition from homelessness.

Olivia West: Transforming Holidays into Hope
For Olivia West, giving children a moment of joy is about more than gifts. It’s about creating memories and hope where it’s needed most. As Executive Director of Champions of Change, Olivia helps foster and homeless children have experiences they otherwise might never have. The organization was founded by Rochester natives and Olivia’s sons, Jeremiah and Joshua West, when they were just 6 and 8 years old, and it continues to carry forward that spirit of compassion and community.
When the pandemic paused Champions of Change’s holiday trips to Disney, Olivia and her team created Hotels for the Holidays, giving families experiencing homelessness safe, welcoming stays in a nice hotel. “Every child deserves to feel loved and valued, and every family deserves a place to call home, even if just for the holidays,” Olivia explains.
Each room comes with a tree, stockings, decorations, meals, gifts, new pajamas, and toys. Families enjoy swimming, BINGO, movie nights, scavenger hunts, and even surprise visits from Santa, giving children and parents a chance to relax, reconnect, and create joyful memories.
One parent shared, “Those nights in the hotel room were the first time they could enjoy each other’s company without stress or worry related to [their] current housing situations.” Another wrote, “This event gave us hope during an incredibly difficult time, and I will never forget it.” Stories like these fuel Olivia and her team to continue their mission year-round.
Olivia’s passion is deeply personal. After her husband’s father passed away when they were in high school, her husband, his mother, and his siblings found themselves homeless, couch surfing and sleeping in shelters, much like the families she now serves. “This is why we are so passionate about giving back,” Olivia shares, “and why we raise our children to love their neighbors and to always be KIND.”
. . .
make the holidays brighter.
Since its launch in 2020, Hotels for the Holidays has served over 1,000 children, and with community support, the organization hopes to reach even more. To sponsor a family, donate, or volunteer, visit www.championsofchangeusa.org or email info@championsofchangeusa.org

A Family Tradition in Every Bite
My grandmother was the best cook and baker I’ve ever known, and she’s the reason I fell in love with baking in the first place. She passed her skills and passion down to my mother, who then passed them to me—creating a beautiful family tradition rooted in the kitchen. One Thanksgiving, our family decided to try Emeril Lagasse’s Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, and it instantly became the best pie I’d ever tasted. Over the years, I’ve tweaked the recipe, learning what works (and what doesn’t), and even veganized it for the plant-based eaters in our family. Now, I make it every Thanksgiving, filled with sweet memories of times gone by and the generations of love that inspired my baking.

pg. 42 Chasing Snowy Trails and Beautiful Views with Hike & Stroll Rochester
CHASING SNOWY TRAILS AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS WITH HIKE & STROLL ROCHESTER
ARTICLE BY VIVIEN REED
There’s magic in every season, even winter—you just have to bundle up and step outside.
Nature is a furious yet gentle atmosphere that constantly invites exploration. Walking outside is one of the most underrated, yet deeply favored, activities. Often, the real adventure and challenge is simply knowing where to go.
That’s where Carrie, founder of Hike and Stroll Rochester, comes in. A lifelong hiker, Carrie understands the quiet power of being on a trail. She launched her online hiking resource as a passion project, a simple, accessible way for others to discover trails throughout Upstate NY.
Over the years, Carrie has explored breathtaking landscapes across the globe, from the Canadian Rockies to Norway and Austria. No matter where she goes, one thing remains constant: her love for the outdoors. For much of her life, she’s pursued jaw-dropping views and tackled challenging landscapes. Becoming a parent shifted her priorities, but her adventure-seeking boots never stopped moving.
She says, “A few years ago when I had my first child, I started looking for stroller-friendly paths to take her on hikes and walks, since we love hiking and I didn’t want to stop going out into nature after having kids.”
Carrie initially found trails through various websites, but the more she discovered new paths on her own, the more she realized a single, reliable resource was missing. So, she created one herself.
Her passion for the outdoors led her to launch a growing resource designed to invite hikers of all levels to discover open paths that prompt us to unplug and look around. She says, “Since having kids, I’ve been a lot more focused on finding the beauty all around me, slowing down, and noticing the little things in nature.”
When Carrie began sharing hiking locations, her very first post featured the paved path at the Ellison Park North Landing Entrance. This was the first outing her family took after their daughter was born, and it quickly became a meaningful place for them. It’s moments like these Carrie hopes to inspire in others.
Her site features over 250 locations with photos, information about trail surfaces, key features, and even an easy-to-use pin-map, allowing users to click on a location and discover a new path to explore. Featured spots range from gentle, paved walks near museums to quiet forest trails tucked beneath a canopy of trees.
It’s all about helping people find the right trails for them, highlighting stroller-friendly routes, kid-friendly adventures, and accessible viewpoints so everyone can enjoy nature. That’s the heart of Hike and Stroll Rochester: creating an approachable, no-excuses guide to getting outside.
Embracing Winter
When winter arrives, hiking can become more difficult, but it’s not impossible. For Carrie, it's about adjusting, not stopping. She says, “It can be a lot harder to get out hiking in winter. Trails can be more challenging, especially with children. They require more gear, and the cold temperatures can be uncomfortable. But once you’re out on the trail, it can be spectacular.”
Winter brings a peace that other seasons don’t. Snow transforms familiar trails into something entirely new, and the sound of winter is a calming soundtrack to love. Carrie says, “Everything looks different and especially wonderful covered in snow. There are also no bugs, which is a huge plus!”
Carrie continues to map new outdoor escapes encouraging us to brave the cold, and her process is a mix of intuition, curiosity, and planning. Sometimes she follows her own personal pin map of places she wants to explore. Other times, she drives by a new road, notices a trailhead, and makes a note to return. Her process is both organic and strategic, a way to keep moving and always have fun.
The Rochester area features wild nature and urban energy coexisting side by side. It’s easy to overlook the beauty around us, especially during colder months. Frozen toes, slushy driveways, and long gray days may keep us inside, but devoted voices like Carrie’s remind us there’s so much magic to be found just a short (or long) walk from our front door.
Winter Strolls Carrie Loves
Pine Tree Hikes
When all leaves fall off the trees and we enter “stick season,” I love to look for pine tree groves and other evergreen trees on my hikes. They feel so festive. They keep their green color and are so magical after a snow fall.
The Gnome Trail at Cumming Nature Center
Only open in winter (mid-December through April), this trail features wooden gnomes and whimsical surprises along the way. It’s a truly magical hike for both adults and kids.
Holiday Light Shows
Lamberton Conservatory, Highland Park
Our favorite spot for Holiday lights is Highland Park’s Lamberton Conservatory. It’s so warm and cozy inside the conservatory with beautiful holiday lights on the huge variety of plants, even the cacti!
Frozen Waterfalls
Another thing we like to do in winter is visit waterfalls. They are so beautiful after a snowfall and look so neat when they start to freeze!

OF DESIGN ROOTED IN PEOPLE 55 YEARS 55 YEARS
When a family opens the door to their new home for the first tim e, it’s more than square footage. It’s the beginning of their next chapter. The laughter that fills the kitchen, the quiet moments on a front porch, the way sunlight moves through the rooms — these are the true measures of home.
For 55 years, Greater Living Architecture (GLA) has been helping Western New York families bring those stories to life. Founded in 1970, GLA has designed thousands of homes and communities across the region, always guided by one principle: every home should reflect the people who live in it.
Introducing The Carverdale – a new house plan coming soon to the GLA Residential Collection
HOMES THAT TELL STORIES
THE LEGACY
Now celebrating its 55th anniversary, GLA continues to build on a reputation for thoughtful, client-centered design. Their work is rooted in listening to clients. Every plan begins with a conversation about how people truly live in their homes, which is why their designs feel timeless and personal.
Led by President Joe O’Donnell, the firm’s team of architects, designers, and project managers continues a legacy of collaboration and care that began more than five decades ago. At GLA, proudest moments come when they see their designs move from paper to reality. Watching a concept that began as a sketch evolve into a home or community that families enjoy every day is incredibly rewarding.
That commitment has led to long-lasting relationships, even across generations. Many families return to GLA for second- or even third-generation homes, which is the highest compliment. Reaching their 55th anniversary this year is a milestone that reflects the legacy of design they’ve contributed to Western New York and the impact those homes have had on thousands of lives.
THE STORIES BEHIND THE HOMES
Every home tells a different story.
GLA has learned that great design begins with empathy. Their role is to translate someone’s story – their daily habits, traditions, and dreams – into walls, windows, and spaces that feel like home.
No two projects are ever the same, because no two families are. Each home is a reflection of collaboration and trust, shaped by conversations that start long before the first line is drawn.
Recently, they designed two homes along a private drive – distinct yet complementary plans that sit side by side, surrounded by greenery and overlooking a panoramic backyard setting. Together, they create a sense of seclusion while still feeling connected – a perfect example of how thoughtful design can honor both individuality and harmony.
THE EVOLUTION OF HOME DESIGN
Over the decades, GLA has watched and led the evolution of how people live in their spaces. They’re inspired by the idea that architecture and homebuilding shape daily life. When a client tells them how much they love gathering in their kitchen, relaxing on their porch, or how a space makes life easier, that’s why GLA does what they do.
Today’s homeowners seek both connection and retreat. GLA designs homes that balance open, shared areas for togetherness with quiet, private nooks for reflection or work. Flexibility has become key – spaces that evolve with changing life stages, from growing families to retirees.
GLA aims to continue leading with thoughtful, functional, and inspiring design while embracing new trends in sustainability, wellness, and technology. This year’s new designs include dual primary suites, dedicated home offices, and expanded outdoor living, each a reflection of how people want to live now.
LOOKING AHEAD
As GLA celebrates 55 years, its mission remains the same: to design homes and spaces that reflect the people who live in them. The team’s connection to community runs deep, from partnering with Habitat for Humanity to supporting local events and mentoring in the architectural field. Supporting efforts like this reflects their belief that good design should serve people at every level of community life.

Reliable Power, No Matter the Forecast
As winter sets in across Western New York, snow, ice, and wind can turn a peaceful evening into a powerless one within moments. Losing electricity during freezing weather doesn’t just mean no lights – it can also mean no heat, spoiled food, and frozen pipes.
Founded in 2017 by Eddie Crawford and Kurt Sillen, CityGate Electric began with just two employees and a commitment to delivering quality electrical work and exceptional service. Today, that dedication has fueled its growth to a team of over 50 skilled professionals serving more than 700 satisfied customers across Western New York.
From large commercial projects to small residential upgrades, CityGate provides a seamless experience across all electrical needs, including communications, design-build services, security and fire alarm systems, energy-efficient lighting, and EV charging stations. Whatever the project, the CityGate team brings expertise, reliability, and a customerfirst approach to every job.
And when it comes to keeping your home powered through winter storms, CityGate’s professional installation of Generac home standby generators ensures comfort, safety, and peace of mind when it matters most.
“When a storm hits, you shouldn’t have to worry about your power. With a Generac system installed by the knowledgeable and skilled team at CityGate, you can focus on creating lasting memories with family and friends during the fast-approaching winter season.”
Dependable Backup Power, Installed by Local Experts
Generac generators automatically detect when the power goes out and restore electricity to your home within seconds. Connected directly to your natural gas or propane supply, they provide a seamless transition to backup power—no refueling, no hassle, just dependable performance all season long.
CityGate Electric’s certified technicians handle every step—from helping you choose the right size generator to professional installation and ongoing maintenance. They handle the entire process, including communicating with power companies, obtaining permits, and scheduling inspections. With years of local experience, they understand the challenges of Western New York winters and what it takes to keep homes running smoothly.
Protection Beyond Power
Beyond installation, CityGate offers maintenance plans to ensure your system runs efficiently year after year. Their team also provides whole-home electrical inspections, giving you peace of mind that your wiring and panels are safe and ready for higher winter loads.
Don’t Wait for the Next Storm
The best time to prepare for a power outage is before one happens. Whether you’re considering a whole-home standby generator or want to upgrade your existing system, CityGate Electric is ready to help you find the right Generac solution for your needs.
“I’ve worked with a lot of electricians, and I know a hard-working, knowledgeable team when I see one. They talked me through what they were doing and why. The work speaks for itself. You won’t regret calling CGE.”

As the holidays approach, Victor resident Katrina Hess welcomes them with creativity, comfort, and nostalgia. As a registered nurse and creative mom of two, Katrina brings the magic of the season to life through baking, crafting, and decorating, all with her children by her side. Inspired by her mother and grandmother, who filled every season with joy, Katrina now carries those cherished traditions forward, adding her own modern touches along the way.
TRADITION MEETS CREATIVITY
Katrina’s approach to the season blends modern style and timeless tradition. Her days are filled with small, joyful moments such as baking cookies, sipping warm drinks, and curling up to read Christmas stories. She shares her seasonal inspiration on Instagram, mixing vintage keepsakes and Pinterestworthy ideas that celebrate slow living and the beauty of what she refers to as “romanticizing everyday life.”
Her kitchen becomes a hub of holiday cheer and sweet scents from such as her grandmother’s spritz cookies and steaming mugs of German mulled wine, a delicious red wine infused with citrus and spices. Classic sugar and gingerbread cookies shaped like cozy sweaters, mittens, and stockings bring sweet memories to life throughout the entire holiday season.
SAVOR THE SEASON
For Katrina, the true magic of the holidays is found in slowing down. For her and her family, it’s not about grand gestures, but rather simple joys like sipping coffee in a festive mug, making holiday crafts, heading outdoors each day (no matter the weather), and baking together as a family. “It’s when I truly slow down and just be with my family, whether while playing, baking, or even making nature crafts, that I realize just how lucky we are,” she shares.
To create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Katrina fills her home with natural elements and seasonal scents. A simmer pot of cinnamon, glowing beeswax candles, freshbaked cookies, or a pot of mulled wine on the stove help set the mood, especially when hosting friends and family.
MAKE THE SEASON MERRY & BRIGHT
Katrina’s story is a reminder that the holidays don’t have to be hectic. With a little intention and creativity, anyone can infuse the season with warmth, wonder, and holiday cheer. Here are some of Katrina’s favorite at-home holiday crafts and treats you can try for yourself!
“We love making a hot chocolate station for Christmas movie nights. We each choose our toppings such as whipped cream, marshmallows, candy canes, festive sprinkles and even Irish cream for the adults!”
SIMPLE & JOYFUL
Katrina’s philosophy is simple yet meaningful: only plan things that genuinely bring you happiness or hold special memories for you. This can help make the holidays feel more personal and fulfilling. She also encourages spacing out activities (even at home) to avoid burnout and keep it enjoyable. “It’s not about doing everything – It’s about doing what you love,” she shares. “If it doesn’t bring joy, it’s okay to let it go.”
She inspires others to fully embrace the spirit of the season, reminding us to slow down and cherish the little moments. Whether it’s baking cookies with your children, sipping mulled wine by the fire, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon with a good book, make space for what truly matters. That’s where the real holiday magic lives.
