A day in Plegt Anker Village Plegt Anker is a small countryside village located in East Bank Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice/Corentyne). The village is also called Heidelburg and was a Dutch-owned plantation of cocoa, sugar cane and coffee. Located 18 miles down a long road from New Amsterdam, residents say life in this small village is peaceful.
