Welcome to the 2025-2026 Gulfshore Playhouse season at the Baker Theatre and Education Center! It’s hard to believe I can no longer really call it our ‘new’ home since we are already talking about our second season!
Programming a second season is an exciting challenge. With the first, you have the added benefit of the bright and shiny new facility that everyone wants to see. Now we're focused on keeping that momentum going and giving you, our wonderful audience, a heightened sense of enthusiasm and excitement. I feel like we’ve done just that.
Welcome to the
Our 2025-2026 season will feature a wide array of programming to love. On the Moran Mainstage, we’ll be producing our first large-scale holiday tap musical White Christmas, and the iconic Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. We’ll be staging our very first Agatha Christie murder mystery, The Mousetrap, and we’ll be bringing back the delightful, timeless comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, which we produced over a decade ago, but love so much we decided to bring it to life on the “big stage!”
In the Struthers Studio, join us for the intense, thrilling drama Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, the world premiere of a brand new play Circle Forward, and the World War II-era romance, Dear Jack, Dear Louise. Whether you’re falling back in love with a story you know or experiencing something brand new (or both!), you will be witnessing professional theatre produced to the highest caliber brought to life by career actors and artisans, made just for you right here in Naples at our new production center, in our rehearsal rooms, and on our stages.
Beyond what is on our stage, I would highly encourage you to review the pages of this brochure to see all of the expanded offerings and new opportunities that will be available this season under the auspices of Gulfshore Playhouse Education. From performance opportunities to fitness classes, lectures, and more, these offerings for all ages are an excellent way to not only improve your own or your children’s theatrical skills and knowledge but also to make new friends and enrich your life. And, did you know, our lobby bar is open all day, every day? Yes! You can stop in any time and enjoy the free wifi or beautiful gardens. While you’re here, feel free to grab a drink or a coffee, or even indulge in a light bite at the bar!
The great news is that we’re only just getting started. There is so much more to come, and we are honored to continue to serve you in everexpanding ways. Gulfshore Playhouse would not be what it is today without your continued support and investment in what we do. Thank you for inspiring us to always keep striving for excellence. I look forward to seeing you at the theatre!
With gratitude,
Kristen Coury CEO and Producing Artistic Director

The alcohol flows, inhibitions melt, and the young couple gets caught in the crosshairs of George and Martha’s imploding marriage. This modern masterpiece, the play that inspired the iconic 1966 film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, is the perfect cocktail of dark comedy and intense drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat to the bitter end.

Witness the captivating story of how Carole found her voice and became King. At eighteen, she wrote charttopping songs for the biggest names in music like Aretha Franklin and The Drifters, and just over a decade later, she was the voice of a generation. This soaring musical features two decades of King’s hit melodies such as “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” and more! This smash Broadway hit weaves a nostalgic, feel-good tapestry celebrating resilience, self-discovery, and the authentic spirit of a legend.

We are thrilled to announce that our annual New Works Festival will return in 2026. The Festival brings together playwrights, directors, and actors for a week-long workshop to develop and perform staged readings of brand new plays that have yet to be produced.
This is a vital step in the process of bringing new plays to life and your first chance to experience plays that might end up on our stage and stages around our nation. 2024's The Refugees by Brent Askari and this season's Circle Forward by Deb Hiett were both workshopped at previous New Works Festival before ending up in our professional season.
You won't want to miss this special theatrical opportunity that brings you into the process of how the great plays of tomorrow get made.
