



At Rainier Guest Services, LLC our mission is to provide quality products and services to our guests and visitors in a manner which preserves the environment.
The
• Over 77,480 pounds of commingle recycling was diverted from the landfill.
948 gallons of cooking oil was recycled by turning it into Biodiesel
89 pounds of ink cartridges were recycled
• 124 pounds of batteries were recycled
209 pounds of fluorescent light bulbs were recycled
• 42 pounds of light ballasts were recycled
• 6,520 pounds of glass was recycled.
• 1,383 pounds of paper was recycled.
• 100 pounds of used hotel amenities were donated.
• Over 20% of total waste was diverted or recycled in 2019
In 2015 we finished installation of 3 hydration stations in 3 different locations
• In 2019 over 92,000 bottles were filled at the stations
• Disposable water bottles were not sold in 2019.
Water bottles available for sale in guest rooms encourage our guests to use our bottle filling stations in lieu of disposable bottles.
In 2015 we replaced 4 of our transportation vans and one maintenance truck with LPG operated vehicles. In 2019, five more propane vehicles were purchased completing the conversion of our fleet to propane.

• Emissions were reduced by approximately 20,500 pounds of CO2
In 2018 we installed energy management devices in guest rooms for electric heat and lighting.
These devices keep the heat on a schedule and turn off lights when not in use.
In 2018 our towel and linen reuse cards were recreated with our own water saving statistics and encourage guests to participate.
Also in 2018, our reusable retail bags were re-created with 3 unique designs and conservation messaging on protecting the earth, air and water.
