Sustainability Report 2016

At Rainier Guest Services, LLC our mission is to provide quality products and services to our guests and visitors in a manner which preserves the environment.

The following is a quick glimpse at our accomplishments for 2016

• Over 60,000 pounds of commingle recycling was diverted from the landfill.

• 5,040 pounds of glass was recycled

• 437 gallons of cooking oil was recycled by turning it into Biodiesel

• 93 pounds of ink cartridges were recycled

• 179 pounds of batteries were recycled

• 168 pounds of fluorescent light bulbs were recycled

• 37,720 pounds of food scraps were composted

• 610 pounds of used clothing/bedding and used amenities were donated to a local homeless shelter.

• 1,730 pounds of scrap metal was recycled.

• 511 gallons of used cooking oil was converted to Biodiesel.

Water Hydration Stations

In 2015 we finished installation of 3 hydration stations in 3 different locations

• In 2016 almost 70,000 bottles were filled at the stations

• Disposable water bottles were not sold in 2016.

Propane Vehicles

In 2015 we replaced 4 of our transportation vans and one maintenance truck with LPG operated vehicles.

• Propane burns cleaner than gasoline or diesel

• Emissions were reduced by approximately 20,500 pounds of CO2
