The Westin Resort Guam Employee Health Fair

We joined TakeCare and set up a booth for The Westin Resort Guam Employee Health Fair. Employees had a chance to complete our Cancer Screening Questionnaire and receive a free wristband and t-shirt in addition to information on Guam Cancer Care’s services and programs.

Towards the ending of May we found ways to be accessible as possible to our patients and new registrants to avail of our services.
We partnered up with FHP TakeCare, GRMC Oncology, and American President Lines during the time our office had no power and water. We all split up into groups and settled ourselves in remote work stations. During the period of our “gas crisis” we were able to deliver supplies to the clinics and some patient’s homes.
This month we would like to welcome our new Join The Fight partners: Guam Serenity Massage, Guam Fitness Club, Southern High School, Wettengel Elementary School, Prestige Automobiles, and Guam National Guard. These organizations took the pledge and Joined The Fight along with many others to improve the lives of Guam’s community. The Join The Fight pledge states the commitment of the following:
Promote, encourage, and allow employees to get screened for cancer in line with approved cancer screening guidelines.
Disseminate information to employees, customers, and members in reference to cancer screening and early detection.
Encourage employees to eat healthily, exercise regularly, and promote healthier work and home environments.
Encourage participation in the “Join The Fight” against cancer campaign/events.
