I wish. I wonder. This is the time of year when we start to think about what the year ahead will bring. We have long abandoned our New Year’s resolutions and are ready to commit to the next steps on our journey. As one of the leading Girl Scout councils in the nation, we have some heavy goals to strive toward. Many of you participated in our strategic planning process over the summer. This process is scheduled to be completed and shared this spring. The planning team is comprised of 19 members, including representatives from the GSNC board, alums, volunteers, staff, and leadership team. A big thank you to the following: Volunteers: Jennifer Muschett—Baldwin, Rebecca Martinez—Levittown Melissa ReCagna—Plainview, and Susan Cannatella—Manhasset Girl Scout Alum: Gabby Fidis—West Hempstead, Amanda Ieraci—Glen Cove, and Raven Brewington—Elmont Board Members: Andrea Elder-Howell, Esq., President; Melanie Sinesi, Executive Vice President; and Natalie Borneo, Member-at-Large Staff Team: Rande Bynum, Denise Ingenito, Marilou Owens, Liz Murphy, Karla George-Smith, Dianne Auci, Maiya Henderson, Amy Rosenkrantz, and Victoria Strauber From your input and feedback, we have narrowed down four North Stars, which align with the national Movement strategy for the next several years of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. The North Stars are: 1. Being a visible and vocal leader in Nassau County 2. Ensuring equitable access and a sense of belonging 3. Supporting a growing network of volunteers 4. Growing revenue to ensure expanded high-quality programming As we are working on reaching our North Stars, we are working to keep our 77% renewal rate and increase the number of new members by 3%. We are also working to increase our funding partners and commu. .. er d nity partners as we continue n I wo to make Girl Scouts accessible in Nassau County.

.

I wish..

Whether you are a Girl Scout, a parent, a volunteer, or a donor, we want you to always wish and wonder about what Girl Scouts could be, where we want to go, and what we need to get there. —RMB
