We are laser focused on our vision—a Nassau County in which every girl feels empowered to lead in her community, in the workplace, and in the world. We are aware that we need help from deeply committed individuals to make this vision a reality. As you read through this prospectus you will see the investments we are making in our girls.

Since launching our first troop in 1918, we have served over 100,000 girls in Nassau County. Today’s girls are facing new challenges every day and they need Girl Scouts now more than ever. As we celebrate the 110th birthday of our national movement, Girl Scouts continues to be the most successful leadership organization for girls—helping them explore their interests and building a better community.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
We thank you for giving thoughtful consideration to joining our board. The support of our Board of Directors is a critical element to ensuring that our girls are prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century and beyond.

Dear Friend,

For over 103 years, girls and adults in Nassau County have come together to make friends and serve their community and the world. The values found in the Girl Scout Promise and Law serve as a lifelong road map to guide girls’ behavior and attitudes. Through activities in science and technology, business and financial literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportu nities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem in an all-girl environment. Girl Scouts of Nassau County con tinues to provide girls with programs - safely in person, using the four program pillars of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (STEM, outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship). Throughout the pandemic, we also focused on their mental well-being, helped mitigate learning loss, as well as focused on civic engage ment and social change. Our girls rose to unprecedented challenges with grit and determination.
We’re Girl Scouts of Nassau County. We’re over 15,000 strong. Last year, we served 11,472 girls, 2,960 adults, and 1,359 lifetime members who believe in the power of every girl from Nassau County to change the world.

Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) is investing in the girls we serve in Nassau County. We work with over 250 community partners across Nassau County to help girls learn and explore how to Discover, Connect, and Take Action. Through our community partnerships in schools, houses of worship, and businesses, girls participate in Girl Scout programs that are age-appropriate and girl-driven, teach life skills, and reflect the interests and needs of today’s girls. Girls who participate in Girl Scouts are not only getting a troop experience, they are also getting enriching experiences such as field trips, the outdoors, environ mental stewardship, sports, community service projects, entrepreneurial skills, STEAM, and more. Girl Scouts helps girls not only grow courageous and strong, but helps them to develop their full potential relating to others with respect and understanding, and builds citizens who make change in their communities.
