Administrative Fellows for Research - Issue 31
The College of Science and Mathematics is looking to add two new administrative fellow positions that are being created to assist with the strategic operations of the College. The administrative fellow positions will be part-time administrative appointments with a 20% administrative assignment compensated with a one course release (3-hr) per semester (two total on the academic year), and $5000 of summer salary. For a faculty member starting on a 3/3 teaching load, the assignment would be 20% admin, 30% research, 40% teaching, and 10% service. The positions will start immediately as renewable one-year appointments, based on mutual interest and available funding.
The two administrative fellows have unique assignments where they will work with the COSM leadership, academic departments, and faculty to address strategic priorities as well as manage specific aspects of the College operations. These positions are open to all faculty, and the ideal candidate is someone seeking the opportunity to gain administrative insight and experience.
