Art & Antiques Show Returns The Downeast Art & Antiques Show returned to GSA in August, drawing approximately 700 visitors to a transformed gym and raising $14,585 for the GSA Fund. From 1997 to 2006, the show was held at GSA as the Academy Antiques Show in Blue Hill, but it wasn’t until May 2021 that the school was asked to host again. “A true team effort by staff and volunteers enabled us to put on an amazing show in such a short time,” said GSA Advancement Director Rada Starkey. A preview party on Aug. 2 launched the two-day show of art and antiques. After it concluded, dealers reported strong sales and said they felt genuinely welcomed and supported by GSA. “With a year to plan,” Rada said, “we can make next year’s show an even more amazing event.”
