The BGCP is back but on a smaller socially distanced scale on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd May with traders selling everything from Comics, Art, Action Figures, Art, T-Shirts and much more. This event is free entry and requires no tickets. Please keep social distance, wear a mask and use hand sanitizer when needed.

Explore 20 acres of long-established rhododendrons, woodland with good bluebells, young arboretum and lawn gardens when private garden Carruth opens its doors as part of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme! Turn right and after about 100 yards, the garden entrance is on the right. About three-and-a-half miles from Kilmacolm and fi ve-anda-half miles from Lochwinnoch on the B786.

Edinburgh Zoo After Hours

Edinburgh Zoo After Hours events return for summer 2021 giving you more opportunity to see your favourite animals! From 4th June 2021 to 14th August 2021, on selected Friday and Saturday nights, tickets are £18 for adults and £11 for children. Book your tickets at https://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/afterhours Take a wander through the zoo and enjoy the long summer evenings. With a host of local food and drink kiosks available, you can relax to the sound of an acoustic set by the main lawn, follow a new digital trail or simply soak up the atmosphere of Edinburgh Zoo at dusk. With all our daytime health and safety measures in place, including extra toilets, social distancing, and extra hand-washing stations, all you will need to do is buy a ticket and enjoy your evening. Please note you can arrive after your booked time, however last entry is 8pm and the event will close at 10pm. Surviving mill in a series of fi ve built in 1864. Well-established colourful garden on different levels sloping down to the burn. Directions: Approach from the Roadhead roundabout near Lochwinnoch (junction of A760/A737). Take turning by Powerdoors onto Auchengrange Hill. At the T junction turn left onto Belltrees Road. Scotlands Garden Scheme - High Mathernock Farm 2pm to 5pm

A south-facing half-acre garden planted by the present owner, comprising different areas for relaxation and contemplation. Directions: From Kilmacolm cross, head north on Port Glasgow Road towards Port Glasgow. Just out of the village take left onto Auchenbothie Road. Approximately a quarter-of-a-mile take a left under the bridge (Penny’s Arch) onto Auchentiber Road and carry on for 1.2 miles. High Mathernock Farm is on the left. There will be SGS signs.
