Open on Sunday 13th June 2021, 2pm to 5pm. Entry £4, children free.

A productive vegetable patch with all-yearround produce, areas of colourful planting, shrubs and a modifi ed Zen garden with pond and fi sh. New for 2021 is a herbalist’s garden and areas planted for perfume and to attract bees. DIRECTIONS: From Kilmacolm cross, head north on Port Glasgow Road

towards Port Glasgow. Just out of the village take left onto Auchenbothie Road. Approximately a quarter-of-a-mile take a left under the bridge (Penny’s Arch) onto Auchentiber Road and carry on for 1.2 miles. High Mathernock Farm is on the left. There will be SGS signs.

Newmills Cottage

Open on Sunday 6th June 2021, from 2pm to 5pm. Entry £4.00, children free.

https://scotlandsgardens.org/newmills-cottage/ Surviving mill in a series of fi ve built in 1864. Well-established colourful garden on different levels sloping down to the burn. The garden is divided into different areas with pots and hanging baskets fi lling areas which cannot be planted. There is also a pond. Steps down to the garden are steep but it can be accessed from a gate on the road if needed and can still be seen from the lower level. The garden has been extended since fi rst opening in 2014 and there have been a few small changes since the last opening in 2017. • DIRECTIONS: Approach from the Roadhead roundabout near Lochwinnoch (junction of A760/A737). Take turning by Powerdoors onto Auchengrange Hill. At the T junction turn left onto Belltrees Road. Drive for 20 seconds then turn right. Single track road, garden is on the left after one mile. Follow SGS signs.

Craig Hepburn Memorial Garden

Open on Tuesday 22nd June 2021, 4pm to 6pm and Wednesday 23rd June 2021, 3pm to 6pm. Entry £3.50, children free.

Our original garden with an outdoor classroom has been expanded to include community raised beds, an orchard, greenhouse and presentation area. We work with all years in the school reconnecting them to the natural world whether it is through growing in our organic garden, encouraging biodiversity or learning about sustainability. Winners of the Cultivation Street competition 2020. • DIRECTIONS: Exit the M8 at St James Interchange and take the A737. Take the exit for Linwood onto the A761, follow to Clippens Road and then Stirling Drive. Accessible by McGill buses.
