As an Italian living abroad, I always had an international outlook. My family and I lived, among other places, in the former British West Indies & the US before settling in England. I studied foreign languages, yet I am a creative at heart and quite independent from an early age. In

It was here that I developed my sartorial and haute couture interest, courtesy of some great friends who took me under their wing! Here I was able to breath and absorb the immense culture that Rome so generously offers to the world. I have always been curious and quite enthusiastic about trying out new things. Among the many work I’ve done around the world, there is one with a French fashion lifestyle start up. They asked me for help with their brand at the start of the pandemic so I took this opportunity to highlight Italy during a challenging time. I also made sure that the collection included a women’s capsule collection and a limited edition travel bag collection created in Um-man Stefano Conticelli. I was able to use his leather bike and iconic leather-clad Vespa in many of the successful visuals I created and I produced lockdown ended. The result was a fascinating story of fashion & high craftsmanship. And somehow me and my dog (for whom Slim recently created his own Instagram @mrgreigejunior, editor’s note) ended up in many of the fashion shoots, too!

Sono un’italiana che vive all’estero e ho sempre avuto una visione internazionale. Grazie alla mia famiglia ho avuto la possibilità di conoscere tante diverse culture. Prima di trasferirmi in Inghilterra, abbiamo vissuto in molti luoghi, come le ex Indie occidentali britanniche e gli Stati Uniti. Ho studiato lingue ma in fondo sono una creativa con un temperamento indipen- dove è nato il mio interesse per la sartoria e l’alta moda, grazie anche a dei cari amici che mi hanno preso sotto la loro ala! Qui ho potuto respirare e assorbire l’immensa cultura che Roma offre così generosamente al mondo. Curiosa ed entusiasta di novità, tra i tanti lavori che ho fatto in giro per il mondo, ricordo quello con una start up francese di moda e lifestyle. Mi avevano chiesto un aiuto per il loro brand all’inizio della pandemia e ciò mi ha permesso di mettere in luce l’Italia in un momento includesse una capsule da donna e delle borse da viaggio in edizione limitata creati in Umbria da un mio amico, l’eccellente artigiano della pelle Stefano Conticelli (Bottega Conticelli). Nei visual che abbiamo creato ho anche usato la sua bicicletta in pelle e l’iconica Vespa rivestita in pelle pregiata. a Roma. Ne è nata una storia avvincente di moda, alto artigianato e immagine... e in qualche modo, il mio cane Mr Greige Junior (a ndr. collaborazione con The Rake (la rivista leader mondiale di moda e lifestyle maschile di lusso e la voce dell’eleganza classica) e per il mio primo articolo, ho scelto di intervistare una delle donne più eleganti di Roma, Marisela Federici, nella sua famosa Villa Furibonda sull’Appia Antica. Penso che si possa dire che amo Roma!

I guess you can say, I love Rome!? Rome for me means Genius Loci. It’s the thousands of years from one civilisations to the next that has made this place so immense in terms of culture and spirituality. Rome speaks to all of our senses, no matter where you are coming from. Rome is a luminous syncretism.

Roma è Genius Loci. E’ la somma di migliaia di anni e di civiltà che hanno reso questo posto così immenso in termini di cultura e spiritualità. Roma parla a tutti i nostri sensi, non importa da dove vieni. Roma è un luminoso sincretismo.

I collect antiques and vintage pieces and I like to spend Sunday mornings at the Antique market in Ponte Milvio. The Biblioteca Angelica near Piazza Navona, the oldest European public library, is another place I like to visit. Apart from the books and ambiance, I love the silence there. And I try not to miss the art exhibitions at the Cloister of Bramante, the Renaissance gem on Via della Pace. My favorite gelateria is Neve di Latte dei Banchi Vecchi. I love to have a Cuban cigar in the cigar lounge of the Hotel de Ricci’s Bar Charade, after lunch on weekends. And Mr Greige Junior is always welcome too!
