At this writing, we are once again on the cusp of another Grand Opening as we prepare to open the new, world-class fitness center. Mark your calendar for the Fitness Center Grand Opening Celebration & Ribbon Cutting: 6:00pm on Friday, September 18th. The Center will open on Monday, September 21st at 6:00am. After the close of business on Sunday, September 13th, the current fitness center will close which means that there will be a one week period that we are without a fitness center. We apologize for the one week of inconvenience but promise an amazing new Center! The new facility will include new cardio equipment with individual TV screens, a multipurpose room offering yoga, cycle, barre, dance fit, and more.

that we are now experiencing at Founders and Legacy. While the developments at Founders represent an integral step on our Path to Premier, one of the truly outstanding aspects of our Club is our willingness to give back to the community. Recently, the Greystone Foundation, under the leadership of Chairman Scott Stone, sponsored the “Groove on the Green” where a huge crowd of members and guests experienced a great evening of music and food with proceeds going to several charities in the area.

On August 29th, Greystone, for the 11th year in a row, played an integral role in support of the Save the O’s 5K and 1 mile fun run in support of the Norma Livingstone Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Over 370 runners and walkers enjoyed the race and festivities at Greystone and more In addition to the new Fitness Center, the than $40,000 was raised for ovarian new facility will include a welcoming cancer research. Dear Members, I hope you had a great summer at Greystone! Our progress with creating Raving Fans is progressing nicely. All employees have read the book and engaged in discussion about delivering high level service and giving the extra 1% mind set. The standards and expectations are becoming clearer for everyone and allowing the staff to enjoy their jobs even more. Each department is updating their Standard Operating Procedures and developing four to five unique deliverables to the members that will separate us from other top level clubs. The staff is also learning about what we call “creating positive memorable experiences,” which is where they are looking for the opportunity to personally impact your club visit in a positive way. Chef André is off to a great start with new menus, staff development, creating standardized recipes and improving our creativity. Congratulations to Dave Dunston, who has been with Greystone for over a decade. Dave started as a sous chef and then was our Purchasing Manager, now with Chef André’s leadership has taken the challenge to step back into being a sous chef. Wow, what a top notch professional and culinarian he is to have on our team. Also, St. John Bender has taken on a new role of restaurant host/supervisor. His attention to detail, knowledge and passion for service, coupled with his willingness to succeed have made it a perfect fit. We are introducing some exciting golf and social events this fall. We will be hosting a Men’s Night Out with a 9-hole par 3 followed by a steak dinner, a Mixed Glow Golf Event, and a One-Day Men’s Member -Guest event. On the social side, we will be hosting a new Halloween event with Haunted Hayride and Pumpkin Patch, as well as Oktoberfest, and a top notch wine dinner. The fitness center is coming to fruition and construction has begun on the new restaurant. We have the Golf Plaza Bar open daily and a turn station set up to accommodate the 19th Hole being closed down. Please see the details in this issue about the opening of the Fitness Center. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you. Warmest regards,
