ON 15th of November 30 plus members of The Redcliffe City Mixed Probus Club attended our monthly coffee morning at the Watercress Café. We had a most enjoyable morning with many thanks to our organizers. Redcliffe City Mixed Probus Club for Friendship, Fellowship and Fun meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 9.15am for 9.45am start, at the Redcliffe Red Cross Centre, Portwood St Redcliffe. U3A Pine Rivers Inc - Open Day

U3A Pine Rivers Inc. will be holding their Open Day for prospective new students for 2012 by way of illustrating our courses/classes and other internal and outdoor “happenings”, from Lawn Bowls to healthy walking. Tutors will be manning the tables and showing what they do best as volunteers to our 600 plus members as well
as the other people that give their time so freely. Light refreshments will be available and parking is available at the venue of Tom Petrie Community Hall opposite the Council premises in Gympie Road. Opening hours are 9.00am to approximately 11.30am on Friday, 20th January 2012.
Probus Club of Jindalee

BARRY Lack has been awarded the honour of life membership of the Probus Club of Jindalee Barry joined the club in March 1996 and in June of the same year became Vice President. He served
two terms as President 1997 /98 and again in 2010/ 11.He has been an active committee member for all the intervening years apart from a three year stint as Probus Association of Queensland Sec-
retary. Barry is a popular member of the club and is always ready to help and advise members on any Probus matters. Barry was holidaying and taking part in the Probus Rendez-
vous in the Barossa Valley when his nomination was secretly put forward. He said he was surprised and honoured to receive the award. The final Probus Club of Jindalee meeting for the year will also be the Christmas breakup lunch. This will be at the the Jindalee Golf Club on Monday 12 December at 11.30 am. The first meeting in the new year at the Golf Club will be on Tuesday 10 January following morning tea at 10.05am, as usual, there will be an interesting guest speaker and the theme will be green and gold for Australia Day. If you are newly retired or maybe planning to retire at the end of this year, then come along to our January meeting and see what Probus can offer you.
