Moments learning about the environment, recycling and creating a wonderful display for the foyer area in Greenfield Arts. Well done to all involved. We are looking forward to building upon the progress made and enjoying future creative learning in the spring.
Sharing and Caring
Students have been giving up their time and energy to fund raise for causes close to their hearts over recent months. Students and staff got together recently to raise valuable funds for Children in Need. The Greenfield community have also been exceptionally generous contributing to the annual shoebox appeal to reach people at such an important time of year. Our student leaders have been at the forefront of fund-raising activity. It is heart-warming to see how much our students and families care and are prepared to put themselves out for the sake of others – Brilliant!
Greenfield Showcase Talent An exciting evening for our Performing Arts students at their winter showcase event; it was amazing to see their hard work pay off as they entertained an appreciative audience. Stand out performances from our choir and our www.greenfieldschool.net • contact@greenfieldschool.net
GCSE dance and music students were a credit to the school. #GGT returned with an abundance of talent and rehearsals are also now underway for next year’s school production, Grease. Exciting times are ahead for our hard-working Performing Arts students.
Enlightening Visit to ISKCON Temple Students were able to visit the Hindu Mandir as part of their RE studies. Yr 10 & 11 GCSE groups enjoyed a valuable opportunity as they visited ISKCON Hindu Temple in Newcastle. The students were able to find out more about the ethics and culture associated with the faith, listen to experiences from priest Kirtida, asking thoughtful questions about Hindu belief and practice. They enjoyed a delicious vegetarian curry, had the chance to play drums and even sample traditional dress! Thanks so much to all at ISKCON Temple and to our students for making this experience so worthwhile.

STEAM News
Our students are busy focusing on topics that will improve their learning in STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) As part of a comprehensive STEAM programme students have been tackling challenges associated with their studies by simulating a ‘Mission to Mars’. The topic has inspired students to look at what would be needed to colonise Mars, finding exciting ways to learn. Students are using the Time4Success lessons to learn about: • Mission to Mars • Robotics Rocks • Eco Warriors • Fashion Futures • Metaverse
“What might the clothing look like?”
“How would people get about, what kind of transport?”
Students can be inspired by a STEAM pioneer as their tutor name – Year 7 are named after Scientists, Year 8 Technologists, Year 9 Engineers, Year 10 Local Arts people and Year 11 after Mathematicians…
