STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to a week ago: Slaughter lambs over 60 lbs traded mostly steady to 3.00 higher on a moderate test, with lambs under 60 lbs trading sharply higher on a very light test. Feeder lambs under 100 lbs traded sharply higher, while feeder lambs over 100 lbs traded steady on a light test. Slaughter ewes traded mostly steady to sharply higher and bucks traded mostly 3.00 lower on a good test. In the goats, slaughter kids traded unevenly steady on a very light test. Slaughter nannies/ does traded mostly steady on a good test. Slaughter bucks/billies and wethers traded mostly sharply higher on a good test. Trade activity and demand were light to moderate. In the sheep supply approximately 45% slaughter lambs, 15% feeder lambs and 40% slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 30% slaughter kids, 35% slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
