golfing goals
WHETHER YOU’RE A GOLF PRO OR A CASUAL PLAYER, you’ll find plenty of options throughout the county to get you out on the green.
Play along tight fairways lined with gorgeous mature trees at Coppertop Golf Club, offering 18 holes over rolling hills. Accuracy is rewarded with the tree-lined fairways and water hazards. The course is even more beautiful with fall colors, but takes its name from the club’s striking copper roof. Looking to plan a group event? The elegant ballroom overlooks the golf course and has a private deck, while The Barn Loft offers a cozy atmosphere for smaller groups.
Pine Valley Golf Club is another course with 60-plus years of history. Play underneath the cover of the mature trees that dot the grounds of the 18-hole course. As Wadsworth’s only hometown course, Pine Valley is dedicated to making sure you enjoy each round you play; recently, the club even added a fleet of 2023 GPS golf carts, complete with Bluetooth speakers, yardages of each hole and the ability to order food and drinks straight from the snack bar.
Breathe in some fresh air as you tee off amidst the serene landscapes at Hinckley Hills Golf Course, a 6,500-yard championship course complete with a premier pro shop, a beverage and snack bar and an outdoor pavilion facility. Don’t miss the course’s five-hole Buzzard’s Nest — you can use it to add to the separate 18-hole course or to play a quick round if you’re short on time.
Weather won’t stop you from upping your game at Bunker Hill Golf Course. The course’s golf simulator gives you the chance to hone your skills in the winter. When it warms up, play Bunker Hill’s 18-hole course, which features fairways, ponds and creeks throughout the green. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, swing by The Bar and Grille at Bunker Hill to feast on burgers, flatbread pizzas and more.

BC Kochmit’s distaste for vodka led to his obsession with it. Kochmit co-founded BKO Distillery in Medina with Ken Obloy, both former musicians. They worked to bring their rock ‘n’ roll taste to vodka. Their solution was to craft a smooth, premium brand that’s called Voudoux Vodka. It’s distilled in small batches over 20 times from 100% non-GMO cane sugar with no additives.

It all started with a swarm of bees.
Over 155 years ago, Amos Ives Root was inspired to start a beekeeping business when a swarm of bees landed on the window of his jewelry store. That simple event created a company that has become synonymous with beekeeping, honey, pure beeswax, and the highest quality candles.
A Root candle is clean burning, long lasting, elegantly designed, and luxurious. It is a candle burning experience unlike any other.
We love bees... Root is actively involved in advancing the knowledge and science of beekeeping.
We proudly call out our “Bee Friendly” products and services.
Visit the Root Candles Flagship Store in Medina to browse over 22,000 sq. feet of luxurious home decor inspiration. Residing in A.I. Root’s original beekeeping and candle factory built in 1878, our historical building is home to not only Ohio’s oldest candle manufacturer, but also the place to find unique and stylish home accents and gifts.
