FORGING AHEAD

YMCA Camp Moody was set to open in spring of 2020, just as our entire world was shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, as it turned out, exploring nature and participating in outdoor recreation proved to be just what the doctor ordered in a socially distanced world.
Although the repercussions of the pandemic shook the YMCA of Austin to our core, we regained our footing and began climbing toward recovery, hosting Summer Day Camps, Family Adventure Days, Outdoor Education and other special events.
Today, as we have established a new normal, we are beginning to fulfill the original vision for camp, and we are imagining new and even bigger ways to serve our community and meet needs we didn’t even know existed in pre-Covid times.
We thank you for placing your trust in us. We promise to uphold our commitment and deliver dividends for generations to come.
“I love that there is an affordable summer day camp option with traditional outdoor camp activities. My daughter loves them all: canoeing, fishing, ropes course, and zipline.”
