Description: Is the computer a mysterious puzzle to you? Do you wish you were able to be comfortable using a computer? That is our main goal in this introductory class; you are given several opportunities to practice basic word processing skills to become more confident.

Using Windows 10 in the Computer Lab, you will discover the standard terminology and features as you use your home computer! Have you wondered by what is meant by the “Ribbon” and its Tabs, Groups, and Commands? You will be able to experiment with basic keyboarding skills by creating your own letters, recipes, lists, and files. Are you always “losing” your work once you have saved it? Let’s solve that mystery together by learning how to organize your work in folders on your computer! There are many computer-based tasks so you will have lots of fun while you are getting comfortable with your computer.

NOTE: If you have never taken any kind of basic typing / keyboard class and want to develop or improve your own Keyboard Typing Skills before you begin this class, consider searching the Internet for one of the FREE Keyboard Tutorials (self-teaching experiences).
