Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce Announces New CEO
Grants Pass, OR – The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome Terry Hopkins as its new CEO and President. A local entrepreneur with deep roots in the community, Mr. Hopkins brings over 25 years of business management experience in southern Oregon to his new role.
A lifelong resident of Grants Pass, Terry Hopkins is a graduate of Grants Pass High School. His career has been marked by a commitment to the local economy and community. Mr. Hopkins has an extensive background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, having worked with Thomason Hospitality Group and served as a business advocate for the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association. Most notably, he opened and currently operates the popular Grants Pass bar and restaurant, Steam Distillery, launched in 2021.
Mr. Hopkins’s journey in hospitality has spanned five states, but it was his love for Grants Pass that brought him back to start a family with his wife, Alison. Together, they have raised two sons and are actively involved in various local community organizations and Chamber of Commerce committees and boards.
Kate Lasky, current chair of the Chamber board of directors and member of the hiring committee, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment. "We are excited to have Terry join the team at the Chamber of Commerce,” she said. “We are confident that Terry will lead the Chamber with his skills in advocacy, businesses marketing, economic development, and his profound commitment to community involvement in our region."
Terry Hopkins’s appointment marks a promising new chapter for the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce as it continues to support and advocate for local businesses and economic growth in the region.
New CEO and President Terry Hopkins will begin fulltime employment with the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce on June 24. Prior to this date, he will attend committee meetings and community events representing the Chamber.
