embership in the chamber is much more than a plaque on the wall, the fulfillment of a sense of civil obligation, or the means to generate new business. Rather, membership represents a commitment to the continued prosperity of Josephine County’s economy. The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is the catalyst that enables businesses to accomplish collectively what no one business could do alone. A strong united effort gives a voice to members. Tourism, service, retail and manufacturing each contribute to our business community. Come visit us about joining the Chamber and add your energetic voice to the community.

& Josephine County Chamber of Commerce ~
There’s something about spring that brings new energy, new ideas, and a fresh perspective. As the flowers begin to bloom and the days grow longer, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the heart of our local economy—our small businesses—and renew our commitment to supporting them.
Our community is home to some of the most passionate, hard-working entrepreneurs you’ll ever meet. They’re not just selling products or services—they’re sponsoring youth sports teams, mentoring future leaders, and donating to school fundraisers. They’re the smiling faces that greet you downtown, the ones showing up early to open their shops and staying late to ensure an exceptional customer experience. They are builders—not just of businesses, but of community.
When you choose to shop local, you’re choosing to invest in people you know. You’re helping a neighbor pay their mortgage, hire a new employee, or expand their storefront. You’re keeping your dollars in the local economy—circulating through schools, nonprofits, and infrastructure in ways that make a tangible difference.
As we head into the vibrant spring season, there are so many ways to spring into local. From outdoor markets and sidewalk sales to festivals, wine walks, and Chamber-hosted events, our local businesses are showing up with creativity and community spirit. Keep an eye on our event calendar—we’ve got some exciting happenings in the works that are perfect opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support one another.
I also want to take a moment to recognize some of our newest Chamber members—businesses who have taken the leap and joined this collaborative network of local leaders. Their energy and commitment are a testament to the strength and growth of our region. Please help us welcome them, visit their storefronts, and share their stories.
Now more than ever, our local businesses need you. Whether it’s choosing a local boutique over an online cart, attending a community fundraiser, or simply writing a positive review—your support matters. Let’s make this season not just one of personal renewal, but of collective investment in the people and places that make Josephine County so special.
Together, we’re not just supporting businesses —we’re growing community. Happy Spring!

Serving our community since 1957. Lippert’s Carpet One has been a trusted name in Southern Oregon for generations. Edwin Norman Lippert founded our family-owned business in Northern California before moving to Grants Pass, where we have proudly served our community for 68 years! Today, we are operating the largest floor covering retail outlet from Portland to Sacramento right here in the beautiful Rogue Valley.
A commitment to excellence. As a Cooperative, partnered with Carpet One, we understand the advantages of enormous buying power for our customers which translates to competitive pricing and value. It’s a combination our customers appreciate considering the economic challenges we face today. Our sales team, installers and overall service are consistently praised by our customers; stating that we are professional, friendly and helpful. Many customers appreciate our fast and efficient service from getting an estimate to completing the installation. Simply put, we believe local ownership is the difference.
Knowledge and Service. At Lippert’s, we continually invest in training opportunities, which is why we are recognized by the State of Oregon as a “continued educator for floor covering.” This means we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the flooring industry. Choosing Lippert's means you are partnering with a flooring store that truly cares about your satisfaction. We want to help you choose the right flooring for your needs with knowledgeable advice and fair pricing on high-quality products. Our reputation has outlasted other flooring businesses in the area for decades, so we want our customers to know they can trust us to handle their flooring needs with unmatched expertise and reliability.
Supporting our community. Along with our dedicated customer service and training practices, we strive to support our community and local businesses through charitable contributions and community involvement. Some of our partners include the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and SoHumane Animal Shelter. We also recognize the impact of reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices. Since we developed a collection and recycling process, we have sent more than 1 MILLION POUNDS of foam scrap to recyclers. This greatly benefits the environment, reduces our disposal costs, and supports local jobs. As a third generation, independent family business, we are dedicated to supporting our team, our customers and our community.
Did you know? We are more than just flooring! Visit us at www.lippertscarpetone.com.

As spring breathes new life into Grants Pass, it’s the perfect time to explore the vibrant and ever-growing collection of public art that adorns our charming city. What once began with just 11 installations has blossomed— thanks to the vision of the Committee on Public Art (CoPA), formed in 2002—into nearly 100 captivating pieces throughout our community.
From larger-than-life sculptures to vivid murals gracing downtown buildings, each creation tells a story, adds beauty, and reflects the spirit of Grants Pass. Whether crafted in metal, wood, mosaic, or paint, our public art invites residents and visitors alike to walk, wonder, and connect with the creative energy that surrounds them.
Make your spring strolls even more meaningful by visiting not only the murals and sculptures but also stepping into the Grants Pass Museum of Art, Gallery One, or The Hivve Art Hub— each a gem in our flourishing arts scene.

In 2008 Grants Pass realtors came to Asante with a dream of building an affordable place where patients and their families could stay during a medical crisis. Realtors and other community members came together; donating their time and treasure to create this facility for traveling patients.
Thanks to donors, this vital resource has served individuals and families of all ages who live outside the Grants Pass area. Guests can find solace and mutual support in a welcoming environment tailored to their needs during challenging times. Lodging is provided based on availability.
Facility details
• Seven guest rooms with private bathrooms (one room includes ADA accommodations).
• Five RV spaces (full hook-ups, private RV shower and bathroom available).
• Common living room and dining area.
• Large, shared kitchen.
• Fully equipped laundry room.
• Large backyard with an outdoor playground.
Currently, patients are turned away nearly daily due to limited capacity. With your support we can double the size of The Family House from seven to 14 rooms and eight RV spaces to serve more patients. The expansion will alleviate the burden of excessive travel and expensive lodging for those that must travel for medical care.
Similar to how The Family House was built through donations, the expansion will be made possible through 100% community support.
Brookings residents Monty and Debbie are proud to call Southern Oregon home. Veteran and avid sportsman, 67-year-old Monty has been forced to grapple with cancer many times during his life. Having seen multiple family members struggle through treatment, his initial diagnosis in 2006 seemed daunting.
Monty was diagnosed a second time, requiring frequent travel to the Helen K. Spears Cancer Center at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass. He and his wife were overjoyed to learn about The Family House, Asante’s hospitality house that gives patients a low-cost or free lodging option.
Because of The Family House, the couple was able to focus solely on Monty’s health and are now passionate advocates for this essential community resource. “It was mandatory that I had somewhere to stay,” Monty reflects, “because it matters where you are when you’re being treated…it’s a tough game, this whole cancer thing”.
When it mattered most to Monty and Debbie, Asante was there to make sure home was close – and healing, even closer.

As a fifth generation Southern Oregon Native Doug enjoys Biking and Hiking Southern Oregon trails and other outdoor activities with his wife Terri. As a California transplant, Sharon moved to Grants Pass in 2017 and worked remotely for 2 years, as the marketing director for a nationwide engineering firm.
She spent many years representing the engineering firm at the Long Beach and Los Angeles Chambers of Commerce. Sharon is familiar with the goals and aspirations of an organization like the chamber and when thinking about giving back to the community, it was a natural fit to become a volunteer at the Chamber. Come visit with Sharon on Fridays at the Chamber Visitor Center.

Our Young Professionals Network (YPN) had the pleasure of being hosted by Wild River Pub for our Quarterly Social in March. The dynamic trio of Clay Leedy, Nikki Rochholz, and Jordy Travis truly went above and beyond to make our event special. Attendees were treated to an impressive selection of cold beverages and a delightful spread highlighting the diverse offerings from Wild River’s menu.
While Wild River Pub is a well-known name to many, our attendees were pleasantly surprised to learn about the variety of exciting activities hosted at their venue. From comedy nights and corn hole tournaments to live music, vendor fairs, and even yoga classes, there’s something for everyone. They also host line dancing and trivia nights, ensuring endless entertainment options. We highly recommend considering Wild River Pub for any meetings or events you plan to host.
The Miller family laid the foundation for what Wild River Brewing is today by establishing the first Pizza Deli location in Cave Junction back in 1975. Their vision led to further expansion into Brookings, Grants Pass, and Medford. The Wild River Pub opened its doors in 1994, and has since become a cornerstone in the community. The venue, newly updated, is now available for rent, providing a perfect space for your next meeting or event. Their Tap Trailer addition has also been a hit, particularly at Concerts in the Park.
Wild River has been a steadfast supporter of the Young Professionals and the Ambassadors, generously donating food and beverages for various events. We are grateful for their partnership and look forward to continuing this fruitful collaboration.
In conclusion, whether you’re looking for a place to host your next event or simply enjoy a night out, Wild River Pub offers a welcoming atmosphere and a wealth of options for entertainment and dining. We encourage you to explore all they have to offer!
For April, we will be hosting our Monthly Luncheon featuring Dana Pearce and James Conway from the City of Grants Pass Economic Development Division. Check our Chamber Community for more information.
To learn more about the Young Professionals Network or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to Christie Swafford at the Chamber. We encourage you to follow us on social media and sign up for text alerts by texting GPYPN to 38316.
