Sponsorship Policy
Objective
The intent of this document is to clarify the parameters surrounding Granite Golf Club’s position on external sponsorship of Club run events.

Background
Internal and External sponsorship in the past has been transactional in nature, trading on Granite Golf Club’s brand and access to the facilities in return for supplemental funding. Sponsorship implies a need for additional funding and suggests a need not being met. The message it sends is not consistent with the core values of Granite Golf Club as an exclusive high-end private golf club. Soliciting of sponsorship, either internal or external sends the wrong message to our members and the private club community.
Intent
The prize fund is to be used for the enhancement of our members’ sectional play experience be it weekly play days, openings, closings, or other internal member events. External sponsorship will not be permitted to supplement funds for any of the three sections (Ladies, Men’s Mixed).
Donations will not be categorized in the same light as sponsorship. Donations from members and or suppliers will be permitted if the goods are not exchanged for services or access (greens fees, guest passes, discounts).
*Donations for events will require approval from the General Manager.
