All tee times must be booked by using the Granite Golf Club website, member app or by calling the golf shop
Tee times will be available to book four days prior to the day
All times will be bookable via the website, app and by phone
Tee times will run Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
Walk-ons will be available three times per hour, Monday to Friday Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays only walk-on times will be available from 6:30 am to 7:50 am 8:00 am to 10:50 am, every other time is bookable 11:00 am to 2:50 pm, every time is bookable. 3:00 pm to close, every other time is bookable. Members must remain on property after booking their walk on time
Guest play is restricted until 12 noon, Saturday and Sunday. No guest play allowed on Holidays
Singles will not be able to play alone on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays Singles will be instructed to join up with an existing twosome or threesome
Members will not be able to hold spots with a TBD A member’s name will have to be entered to reserve that time
The golf professionals reserve the right to combine groups at their discretion
Members can access the property to practice We ask that you check in with the golf shop upon arrival
No shows will be tracked, and restrictions will be put in place if abuse of the system is detected
The use of technology (e g bots) to gain an unfair advantage over others when booking online is prohibited
Booking tee times will begin four days in advance, up until the time of that day Online, member app or by phone bookings will begin at 7:30 am
During busy periods, a minimum of threesomes will be sent off together The Golf Shop and Player Assistant reserve the right to pair groups together Singles and twosomes do not have priority
The Golf Shop has the right to administer the tee based on the number of Members wishing to play
Starting on the first tee will be the priority Starting on the tenth tee will be at the discretion of the Professional Staff The tenth tee will not be open for starting until two hours after the first tee time has begun to permit golf course maintenance to be completed

Members are reminded that Guests are never permitted to play or use the practice facilities by themselves Only those Guests registered to play the main course are permitted to use the Practice Range and Short Game Academy There must be one Member in each group No Member may introduce as a Guest any person who has been suspended from Granite Golf Club The Member is responsible for the dress and behavior of any Guest he or she introduces to the Club – both on the course and in the Clubhouse The Member shall also be liable for any debt such Guest may incur to the Club and for any damages caused by such Guest to Club property
Members are reminded that the same individual may not be introduced as a Guest more than six times in any one year regardless of who introduces that individual Junior/Juvenile aged Guests may only tee off during designated times for Junior/Juvenile categories

Assignment of power golf carts is the function of the Golf Shop Staff, which is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis
An electric golf cart improperly used can be dangerous to its occupants and create extensive damage to the course, as well as the vehicle itself Power golf cart rules and regulations include the following:
Please observe operation warnings posted on each golf cart
Exercise extreme caution around the Golf Shop area and the first tee
Use designated cart paths when near greens and tees
All power carts are to remain on cart path for all par 3 holes
During inclement weather conditions, carts will be restricted to cart paths only
Reduce speed when approaching or crossing boardwalks and bridges.
Use extreme caution when approaching and crossing the railway tracks
Always come to a complete stop in the designated area and proceed to cross the tracks ONLY when the way is confirmed to be clear
Do not operate the golf cart in any treed or rugged areas
A maximum of two sets of golf clubs are permitted on a two-bag cart
Only two riders are allowed on a cart at any time regardless of size
Damage to the carts, while under contract to a Member or Members, must be reported to the Golf Shop immediately after play The cost to repair such damage will be charged to the responsible Member
Anyone operating a golf cart must have attained the age of 16 and have a valid driver’s license Those Members and Guests without a valid driver’s license are strictly prohibited from operating a golf cart even under adult supervision

The Club provides season or year-round storage service options for power push carts The Golf Operations staff will tend to the day to day service needs of the members using their electric push carts. Granite Golf Club’s Equipment Manager will handle routine service repairs and any major service repairs will be contracted out to a qualified technician. The cost for storage and the services provided are outlined below

The Granite Golf Club collection policies are in place to support a memberowned, not-for-profit structure, and to ensure fairness and consistency towardallmembers.Allstatementsaredue30daysafterthestatementdate, and members with 60-day balances are considered to be in arrears A balance that is 60 days outstanding is equivalent to a balance that has not been paid 30 days after the due date on the monthly bill These members will be charged an administrative late fee, have both their signing and playing privileges (Privileges) suspended and are considered suspended from the club
AccountsReceivableishandledinaccordancewiththefollowingprocedures:
Members with balances outstanding greater than 60-days are considered to be in arrears. Privileges will be suspended at this time.
At 60-days outstanding, The Club Controller will send each member that is in arrears an e-mail/phone call reminding them of their outstanding balance and notifying them that their Privileges have been suspended At this point they will also be notified that at 120 days outstanding their name may be posted at the club All 60-day accounts with an outstanding balance over $50 will be charged a late fee currently assessed at 1 8% per month
Members with 120-day balances may be posted A letter is sent by the General Manager via e-mail and/or registered mail This letter reminds the member that their Privileges are suspended and informs them that their name may be posted This prohibits the member from using the Club’s facilities until payment in full is received
Members who have not paid their first installment of annual dues by March 1st will not be allowed at the Golf Club and are considered suspended from the Club until dues are paid in full
Members who have not paid their second installment of annual dues by May 31st will have their Privileges suspended until full payment of dues is received
Members whose accounts are over 60 days outstanding are not allowed to attend the annual members meeting or other Club events
Collection action will be taken for all members resigning with balances owed to the Club, including unbilled Entrance Fee installments The Club reserves the right to take collection action on any member account at its sole discretion
If a member’s Privileges have been suspended once, they must provide the Club with a credit card or automatic banking withdrawal details and the Club reserves the right to process payment for any balance in arrears
Members experiencing short-term financial difficulties may request and may be granted by the Club’s General Manager an opportunity to make special payment arrangements to bring their account into current status
During this period, their name will not be posted, however their Privileges will be suspended consistent with the policy
Members who have their membership suspended due to failure to pay their account on time for three times in a ten-year period will be automatically expelled from the Club If a member is expelled from the Club, the member may apply to the Board for re-instatement once and if the member is subsequently suspended for non-payment of their account, they will be expelled with no option to be re-instated by the Board
Members are currently offered the following options to pay their outstanding balances
By On-line Payment through all major Canadian Banks
By Pre-authorized Payment Plan
By Credit Card, with a 3% administration fee added to the member account, when paying annual dues or entrance fees
By Cheque payable to Granite Golf Club
In taking practice swings players must avoid causing damage to the course by removing divots Divot mix is provided on the power and pull carts to repair divots on the fairways and tees only Golfers carrying their bags can request smaller divot mix tubes before teeing off Divot mix refill stations are located throughout the golf course Divot mix is never to be used in the bluegrass rough
When exiting a bunker time and attention should be given to ensure that the disturbed sand be returned to its original condition Rakes are to be left outside the bunker
Members are asked to repair at least two ball marks per green
Please refrain from dragging or twisting your feet while on the putting surfaces
It is the responsibility of every Member to insist that our course is cared for by other Members and Guests during play
Members and their registered Guests are welcome to use the Practice Range. The Practice Range will open a half-hour prior to the first tee time and will close one hour prior to dusk Every Monday evening at 6:00 pm (5:00 pm in September and October) the driving range will be closed to allow staff to clean pick the range Tuesday mornings the Practice Range will be closed for maintenance until 10:00 am Members may not use the North Teaching Tee at any time unless accompanied by an authorized Staff member
The Short Game Academy has been designed and built with every golfer in mind The Academy should be regarded as a regular golf course in that all etiquette, courtesies, and course care are in place Please note that power golf carts are not permitted on the Short Game Academy; please keep power carts on pathways and parking areas Golf balls will be supplied Members and their Guests can practice bunker shots, lob shots, short and long pitch shots, as well as trouble shots around the green
Please use the supplied ball tubes to retrieve balls when your practice is complete as a courtesy to other Members
The Putting Green will be restricted to practice putting and chipping All shots made on or to this green shall not exceed the height of one's knees
On the Practice Range please take care when approaching the tee deck, be aware of your surroundings Stay in your stall or behind, never move out in front to avoid injury from balls Beginner and young golfers should use the furthest stall to avoid errant shots affecting the practice or safety of other golfers. For greater safety if you are next to an opposite handed golfer please move to a different stall to practice On the Short Game Academy, it is your responsibility to make sure other players are a safe distance away from you. Always look ahead and to the right and left of the area where you are aiming your shot Don't hit your ball until you are confident that other golfers are out of your range Granite Golf Club is not responsible for any damage or injury while on the property
The first long blast from the siren will indicate lightning in the area It is mandatory that play be suspended immediately when this happens
If you are on the golf course, it is the player's responsibility to mark and lift the ball and return to the Clubhouse or the shelter behind the green of hole16 or by the third hole immediately
Players should stop play immediately and seek shelter any time they believe lightning threatens them, even if a signal has not been sounded
Play remains suspended until three short siren blasts are heard indicating the course has reopened for play and you may continue your round
Members are advised that during lightning alarms golf service and Clubhouse Staff are required and trained to stop any service outside, thereby protecting their health and safety
Golf Canada rules apply in all events except as amended by local rules on the scorecard All events will have a rules and format sheet provided with any additional information All event registration will occur with the Golf Shop or on-line through granitegolfclub.ca, unless otherwise posted. The use of power golf carts is permitted in all Club organized events
All scorecards/results including Match Play should be returned to the Golf Shop immediately upon completion of play
A sudden death playoff should occur starting at the first hole unless otherwise noted in the event rules
In the event of severe weather (e g , rain), play may only be stopped by mutual agreement Under lightning conditions, any player has the right to postpone the match The match will continue or be replayed according to Golf Canada rules Please see above on the lightning warning system
All events will be played, and parties will be charged, except in the event that the course is declared unplayable (e g , due to lightning) Rain dates will only be created for trophy events Modification or cancellation of an event is subject to consultation between the Head Golf Professional, the Committee Chair, and the course Superintendent
No cancellation fee will be charged to Members and their Guests who cancel provided that notice is given prior to the day of the event However, failure to provide notice of cancellation (no-show) will result in a charge equal to the full value of the missed event
Test Drive Members may play in trophy events but cannot qualify to compete for the trophy Their score will not be included in the awards for the trophy event Please note if an event is at capacity, full Members have priority Trophy events include Men's Invitational, Men's Member Member, Mixed Guest Day, Ladies' Guest Day, Ladies' Member Member, and Parent Child. Test Drive Members cannot enter in Match Play, Trillium Cup, or Club Championship events.
Member handicaps for all Trophy Events will be their current handicap as established by Golf Canada If no handicap has been established by Golf Canada, a handicap of zero will be assigned All scorecards for event play must be attested and signed and submitted to the Golf Shop following play
All play is governed by the current rules approved by Golf Canada Local rules governing play at Granite Golf Club are on the golf score card and may be published on the bulletin boards from time to time or may be specified by the Captain's Committee/Match and Handicap Committee
The handicap system assumes that every player will endeavour to play his/her best in each 18-hole round of golf, and that he/ she will report every round for handicap purposes adjusted where applicable
The handicap system ensures fairness of play at all social and competitive events It is essential that all Members faithfully post their scores and adhere to the handicap rules
The maximum hole score for each player will be limited to a Net Double Bogey, calculated as follows:
Double Bogey + handicap strokes a player receives (or gives) based on their Course Handicap (“or gives” only applies to plus handicap players)
All scores should be recorded regardless of the course on which the round was played If 7 to 13 holes are played, the player shall post a nine-hole score If 14 or more holes are played, the player shall post an 18-hole score On the holes not played, record par plus any allotted handicap strokes. Match and tournament play scores shall be posted for the calculation of handicaps as tournament scores This includes best ball matches
However, scores recorded for games played between November 1 – April 14 inside Canada are not acceptable for the calculation of handicaps Scores from outside of Canada shall be posted for the calculation of handicaps
For rounds played in the United States, the courses must be USGA slope rated, and scores must be made during the active playing season of the area
A handicapping computer terminal and slope conversion charts are in the Golf Shop Each Member is required to enter their scores in the computer and locate their current handicaps on the charts Please ask the Golf Shop Staff if you require assistance
Golf Canada has mandated that each member club must have a Handicap Committee and that Committee must contain at least one Member who is trained and certified by Golf Canada Annually, Granite Golf Club's Match and Handicap Committee in conjunction with the Captain's Committee will promote to the general membership the merits of posting scores following each round of golf. This education campaign will highlight the importance of posting scores in accordance with the rules of Golf Canada
All Members are encouraged to post their scores using the Golf Canada app or website Please note that Members who are planning to participate in any competitive events (or other events where handicaps are utilized), at Granite Golf Club or any other club, are required to post their scores
The Match and Handicap Committee is responsible for monitoring the integrity and accuracy of the score posting process In the event that it becomes apparent to the Match and Handicap Committee that a Member:
Is not posting all applicable scores into the handicap computer, or Is incorrectly posting their scores, or Has inequities in their scoring record, or Has won a net event by a large margin
The following steps shall be taken:
The Chair of the Match and Handicap Committee will contact the Member via telephone or in person to discuss the situation If corrective action is not required, no further action will be taken by the Match and Handicap Committee If the Member is required to take corrective action, they will be requested to:
Correct all missing/incorrect scores immediately
Correctly post all future scores into the computer in accordance with Golf Canada handicap rules
Rectify score postings within one week or before the next competition or match (whichever comes first)
Due to time constraints, the Match and Handicap Committee may give the Member a tournament handicap for an upcoming event
A written record of the infraction and corrective action will be documented and maintained by the General Manager

If the Member continues to violate Golf Canada handicap rules, he or she will receive a written reprimand from the Captain's Committee and a written record of the infraction will be maintained by the General Manager Penalty scores consisting of two (2) scores equal to the lowest differential in the scoring record will be posted against the Member's handicap

If, following step two, the Member continues to violate Golf Canada handicap rules, the Member will be required to meet with the General Manager and the Chair of the Captain's Committee, following which the Chair of the Captain's Committee and General Manager may recommend to the Governance Committee a suspension or restriction of competitive playing privileges or inform the offending Member that a subsequent violation will be considered a Major Infraction and dealt with in accordance with the Club's Discipline Policy and Procedures.
Players may not begin play from any tee other than the first without permission from the Professional Staff or a Player Assistant The role of the Player Assistant is to ensure a smooth and orderly flow of golfers on the first tee and on the course, to inform Members of their tee time and to ensure that Granite Golf Club's Dress Code and other regulations are followed The Player Assistant with absolute authority for the control of the first tee and the following:
Ensuring play in threesomes and foursomes, including matching and adding twosomes or singles to other groups
Reporting any dress code or etiquette infractions to the Golf Professional
Enforce pace of play policies including moving groups to other hole locations to ensure a smooth and orderly flow
In the interest of all, players should play without delay It is recommended that a foursome playing 18-holes at Granite Golf Club should take four hours or less It is the responsibility of each group to maintain their position on the golf course Those players who stop for lunch (sit down) will lose their priority on the tenth tee and must have permission from the Golf Shop or a Player Assistant to resume play
When a group falls behind, regardless of the reason, it must regain its position Time for ball searches, rulings, and walking time between holes is included in the allotted time
First Group: The first group is out of position if takes more than the allotted time to finish a check-point hole
Following Groups: A following group is out of position if it:
Takes more than the allotted time to finish a check-point hole and Completes play of a check-point hole more than 13 minutes (13:59) after the preceding group completed play of that hole
Time charts outlining the time per hole, including the finish times for the check-point holes, are as follows; Par three 11 minutes, Par four 13 minutes, Par five 16/17 minutes

Key Points
As long as you keep up with the group ahead of you (within 14 minutes) your group will NEVER be penalized. Always look ahead- not behind.
A player concerned about a non-responsive (slow) fellow-competitor in his group, who is delaying play, should request a Rules Official or Player Assistant to monitor the group in case the group is or becomes liable to penalty under these guidelines In the absence of a Rules Official or Player Assistant please contact the Golf Shop and a Member of the Professional staff will address the issue
You and your fellow-competitors can help by having your yardages and being ready to play when it is your turn
The Player Assistant may request the slow group to move to the next hole
When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green and proceed without delay to the next tee
Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not be easily found They should not search for three minutes before doing so They should not continue to play until the players following them have passed and are out of range
The Golf Shop Staff is available for tips on improving your pace of play
A single player has no standing on the course and must give way to any group of two or more players
Cutting in front of groups at any time is not permitted
Members wishing to start on any hole other than the first tee must have permission from the Golf Shop or Player Assistant
This program is designed for Members and their guests who have a temporary or permanent physical disability and require the ability to operate their carts adjacent to tees and greens To qualify for a Medical Flag the Head Professional will request that the Member or guest provide a letter from their Doctor that describes the nature of the disability and whether it is a temporary or permanent condition
Members and guests who have met the above criteria will have a clearly visible flag attached to the cart This flag permits them to park adjacent to tees and greens Carts must not be parked or driven on tees, greens, collars, between greens and green side bunkers, in hazards or in potentially dangerous areas
There will be no Medical Flags issued on cart path only days when the Superintendent feels that it is unsafe to have carts on the fairways and that carts would cause damage to the playing surfaces
We believe all members should be able to enjoy their golf game without disturbance from others Some members enjoy music on the course, some do not Granite Golf Club will allow music to be played, under certain strict conditions as per the revised music policy below This policy will be reviewed by the Board from time to time to ensure that the playing of music is not impinging on the enjoyment of others We urge those who enjoy music while golfing to be respectful of these rules to preserve this option.
Music is not permitted on the golf course, beyond personal use The volume should be at a level only audible to the person/group playing music If any member or staff requests you to lower the volume or turn off the music, for any reason, you must do so immediately Any complaints are considered a minor offence (per our handbook) and may result in a disciplinary letter from the General Manager This policy covers the course, driving range, and practice facilities
Granite Golf Club encourages Members to enjoy the congenial social atmosphere of their Club while acting responsibly in the consumption of alcoholic beverages All alcoholic beverages will be served in strict compliance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations
Granite Golf Club has a zero-tolerance policy on excessive drinking Members are not permitted to consume alcohol to the point of impairment It is also the service team's legal and moral responsibility to ensure Members refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages to excess, thereby protecting their health and safety.
Granite Golf Club Management and Staff who serve alcoholic beverages have been instructed and trained to refuse such service to any person who appears to have consumed alcoholic beverages to the point of creating a potential inconvenience or danger to themselves or others
Failure to comply with this policy, including compliance with Management and Staff instructions pertaining to this policy, will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of membership in Granite Golf Club
Please note that Members are also responsible for Guest compliance under this policy
General Conditions
Smart Serve guidelines will remain in effect and strictly enforced For specific protocol, please refer to THTR Guidelines set as per AGCO.
THTR is intended to give Members another option for drinking responsibly It provides our Members with the benefit of taking home wine that they cannot consume entirely at their visit to the Club
THTR service is permissible provided that all of the following are met:
Members are allowed to remove an opened, unfinished bottle of wine that they purchased at the Club or brought into the Club under the BYOW policy
Unfinished bottle of wine is to be corked with rubber mallet (if necessary)
It is not an unopened bottle purchased at the Club
Unfinished bottle of wine must be sealed with a cork that is flush with the top of the bottle
Screw cap bottles must be sealed with a cork that is flush with the top of the bottle
Sealed and unfinished bottles should be placed in the trunk of the Member or Guest’s car during transport
Fortified wines, beers, and spirits are not permissible
Member must not be intoxicated as per the guidelines set by the Liquor License Act, otherwise the unfinished bottle of wine will be disposed of

Bring Your Own Wine
BYOW is intended to give Members another option for drinking responsibly It provides our Members with the benefit of bringing commercially made wine into the Club for their own consumption
BYOW service is permissible provided that all of the following are met;
Members are allowed to bring commercially made wine into the Club for their own consumption
Fortified wines, beers, and spirits are not permissible
The bottle of wine must be sealed when presented to a food and beverage employee
Food and beverage employees must open the wine and monitor service and consumption as they would if it had been purchased from the Club
A corkage fee of $25 +hst applies for each BYOW 750 ml bottle of wine
An unfinished BYOW bottle of wine may be removed from the Club under the THTR guidelines.
Members must not be intoxicated as per the guidelines set by the Liquor License Act, otherwise the unfinished bottle of wine will be disposed of

A variety of toiletries are provided in the Locker Rooms for your convenience These supplies may not be removed from their customary location, moved to a Member’s locker or from the premises Club towels may not be removed from the Clubhouse or used on the golf course.
Members and their Guests are reminded to not leave valuables in their locker or in the locker room Members are reminded to keep their lockers locked at all times Members are responsible for their locker key during the golf season and the safe return of this key at the end of the golf season.
All lockers must be emptied at the end of the golf season or a storage fee of $95+hst will be incurred If a replacement key is required due to damage or misplacement, this can be arranged through the member service desk for a $10 +hst fee
Lockers are available on an optional basis to all Senior and Intermediate Members The annual locker service fee is $235 +hst per person and includes shoe cleaning service Daily locker rentals are available to all Members at a fee of $20 per day
Those who believe they have lost an item at the Club may check with Locker Room Staff Lost and found items are catalogued and kept for a period of 60 days Unclaimed items shall be disposed of or donated to charity at the discretion of the Club The Club is not responsible for items left at the club or for the return of any lost, stolen, or misplaced items

No Member or Guest shall bring into, or consume, any food or beverage on the property unless authorized by the Club All food and beverage will be served in accordance with Club policies, including applicable terms and conditions for private Member functions Please contact the Clubhouse Manager for any food and beverage inquiries
Members are advised that during lightning alarms, Service Staff are required and trained to stop food and beverage service outside and, on the terrace, thereby protecting their health and safety
Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted inside any of the buildings on the property Smoking and/ or vaping is not permitted on the Clubhouse dining terrace As a courtesy to other golfers, please do not dispose cigarette/cigar butts on the golf course and use the receptacles provided
Having regard to the responsibility of the Club to its members and, as a result of it being a dispenser of alcoholic beverages to the general public, this policy has been established and will be enforced This Policy is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario as amended from time to time
It is a violation of Club Policy for a Member and/ or Guests of Members to bring illegal substances onto Club property or be under the influence of illegal substances while on Club property
It is a violation of Club Policy for a Member and/ or Guests of Members to purchase and/ or consume alcohol at the Club when they are under the influence of an over the counter or prescribed medication, including Medical Marijuana, which, when combined with alcohol may increase the likelihood of impairment Violation of this policy is a major infraction of the Clubs Membership Discipline Policy
Major infractions may result in suspension or expulsion from Granite Golf Club. This includes medical marijuana.
Granite Golf Club is committed to providing its Members with an environment conducive to friendly, family fun The fraternization policy outlines guidelines on forming personal relationships with Staff Members The Club Member – Staff Member relationships inherently involves power and influence and is thus liable to abuse Any relationship that interferes with the professional and friendly environment will be addressed by applying a progressive discipline policy
A relationship other than professional between Club Members and Staff Members may not only further this imbalance, but also distort and inhibit the professional environment For these reasons, it is the agreement of the Granite Golf Club Senior Management team and the Board of Directors, that friendships or sexual relationships between Club Members and Staff Members are unacceptable and constitute misconduct
Examples of unacceptable behavior between Club Members and Staff Members are:
Giving gifts or tips to Staff Members
Kissing or touching inappropriately
Contact outside of the Club (which includes but is not limited to, in person meetings, texting, phone calls, and emails)
Dining with Staff Members
Being alone with Staff Members on Club premises including the golf course, Clubhouse, personal vehicles, or other Club buildings
Golfing with Staff Members (outside of those whose job may require this, e g : Golf Professionals)
Contracting employees to work private events

Members and Guests are required to park within the designated areas Cars parked outside of these areas will be towed at the Member's expense Members and Guests are not permitted to change clothing in the parking lot; changing must take place in the appropriate Locker Room Use of the disabled parking stalls is limited to those possessing and displaying an appropriate Disabled Parking Permit
The speed limit is 20 km/h in the driveway and 15 km/h in the parking lot Please observe the speed limit; caution should be exercised at all times
Motorists are informed that all golfers have the right of way Please be aware of the golfers on the Short Game Academy and the tenth hole
Members are advised to keep their vehicles locked at all times and any valuables should be stored out of sight-preferably in the trunk The Club is not responsible for any lost valuables from or any damage to a Member's vehicle.
Pets are not permitted on Club property during the golf season Pets are not permitted to be left in vehicles on Club property
Use of Cellular phones for verbal communication purposes is permitted, provided Members and Guests keep conversations brief, discrete, and in an area where their conversation cannot be heard by others Cellular phones must be set on silent or vibrate when on the property
Camera use by Members for non-commercial purposes must be in compliance with the Club's Member Privacy Policy Use of cameras for still, movie or video filming in the Club or on the grounds is restricted to Granite Golf Club promotion and Club records unless otherwise approved by the General Manager
Members and their Guests are respectfully notified that Granite Golf Club is not responsible for golf clubs, equipment or personal effects left in or on Club premises Granite Golf Club is not responsible for any damages or injuries sustained by Members or Guests on or about the Club premises
Should damage occur to private property, at or adjacent to the golf course, including but not limited to that caused by the golf ball of a Member or Guest causing the damage is liable for reparation The Member or Guest should provide their name to the affected person(s) and the Golf Shop should be notified of any damage It is therefore recommended that Members ensure their insurance is adequate to cover any such incidents.
This policy covers all forms of social media and applies to Granite Golf Club Members
All current responsibilities of Granite Golf Club Members remain in force when using social media websites Granite Golf Club has the right to remove any content.

Social media websites allow photographs, videos and comments to be shared with other users It is not appropriate to share Club related information in unauthorized social media forums without approval from the General Manager Members must be considerate to other Members, Staff and Club and must remove information about a Member or the Club when requested by the Member or the Club
Under no circumstance should offensive comments be made about Granite Golf Club, Members and Staff online This is deemed to be a disciplinary matter
A breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action as outlined by the Club's Member Disciplinary Policy

Parental, Compassionate, and Medical
Requests for a general leave of absence due to extenuating circumstances must be formally made, in writing, to the Board of Directors and the GM Documentation supporting the request may be requested from the member
Capital fees are required while a member is on leave
Access to the golf course is limited to six (6) rounds per season for LOA All rounds are subject to the regular guest green fee rate
LOA Members may NOT bring guests
LOA Members may NOT play as a guest of a member
Members on leave are not permitted to participate in competitive Club events
Use of the dining facilities is permitted during the season
Intermediate Members who have paid or are paying their Entrance Fee, may apply each year in writing for an Intermediate Leave of Absence Members on Intermediate Leave will not have golf privileges at the Club but may continue to use the dining facilities and may sign their charges to their Member account During their leave, they may make a request to play as a Guest of a Member Requests must be made to the General Manager and permission must be granted A guest fee will be required Annual dues will be waved for the year The Member will be responsible for paying any outstanding Entrance Fee installments due during that year.
Any updates to the LOA program will need to be communicated by February 15 each year Intermediates on LOA cannot re-enter the program, mid-season, unless a spot is available at that time
Intermediate Members who are part of the Pay In Program must contribute the following amounts per year:
19-29 years old - $500
30-34 years old - $1000
This amount will reduce the Intermediate Member’s entrance fee which is charged at the age of 35 If the Intermediate Member resign from the Club prior to turning 35, all Pay In Contributions will be forfeited
Sponsored Juniors (ages 10-18) may join Granite Golf Club without a Senior Member-membership must be renewed annually
Conditions of Sponsored Membership
Applicants must be sponsored by a Granite Golf Club Member unless approved by the Board of Directors
Non-Granite membership applications are subject to the Club's policy for interview and approval process
Must pay Junior annual dues and a non-refundable, annual $500 +hst sponsored fee The annual $500 +hst sponsored fee paid will be credited towards the entrance fee upon conversion to full membership
Sponsored Member must subscribe to monthly automatic withdrawals for account payment and provide a valid credit card number to keep on file
Parents'/guardians' access to the Club will be in accordance with the Club's Guest policy
Liability Waiver must be signed by the parent/guardian of the Sponsored Member
One whose principal residence and chief place of business are both distanced more than 150 kilometres from Granite Golf Club

Requests will be handled between November 1 and February 15
No requests will be considered after February 15 of the given year
Applicant must supply details (proof of residence and/or a letter from employer) and comply with all requests issued to support approval
Approval is granted, by the Board of Directors, on an annual basis

Resignations must be received in writing for all Members 19 years of age or older, to the Board of Directors, by February 15 annually in order to discharge responsibility for Annual Dues for the then current golf year Members resigning after that date will be held accountable for the full year's Dues or the request will be subject to Board approval
Any former Member of Granite Golf Club may make application for membership reinstatement provided that the former Member was in good standing at the date of resignation and that all other qualifications for membership are met by the applicant. Any former Member of Granite Golf Club making an application for reinstatement will pay the value of 2 years worth of the current Annual Dues and Capital Fees in effect or otherwise pay the appropriate entrance fees in effect at the time of offer of membership reinstatement
