BOX OFFICE

box@grangeparkopera.co.uk

SEAT WIDTHS If you are unable to fit into a single seat please talk to the Box

Office and possibly purchase additional seating. Some of the loose seating in boxes provides greater flexibility. CONDITIONS OF SALE (i) If you are unable to use your tickets and we are unable to sell them, we will allow a member of staff to use them. This avoids gaps in the theatre. (ii) Tickets may only be used by the purchaser and may not be sold on. (iii) Grange Park Opera is a charity. To make your ticket money work to our best advantage we have split the ticket prices into two parts: one part is a donation and the remainder is liable for VAT. The donation element is £30–£70. By doing this there is no additional cost to ticket buyers and more of your ticket money can go towards the operas. Gift Aid regulations mean we can also claim a further amount per ticket from HMRC. This practice is used by many charities. Without the donation element, we are unable to cover the festival costs. We are legally bound, however, to point out that the donation element is optional. (iv) Latecomers will not be admitted to the auditorium and there will be no re-admission, unless there is a suitable pause. (v) The management reserves the right to refuse admission or change or cancel the advertised programme and artists.

TICKETS RETURNED FOR RESALE OR EXCHANGE (i) Please contact the Box Office prior to returning tickets. (ii) Tickets will be accepted for resale at the management’s discretion. Resale will only be accepted if there is a demand. (iii) VERY IMPORTANT: Please be aware there is an implied risk that tickets may not be resold. The seller must contact the Box Office to check the status of the tickets prior to the performance. (iv) There is a £5 charge/ticket. You will be sent a cheque against resold tickets at the end of the festival.

USE THE SEPAR ATE BOOKING FORM 1. Select the opera 2. State your 1st choice date 3. Note the price band 4. State your preferred price Forms received by MONDAY 7 JANUARY will be in the First Allocation and these tickets will be sent out by mid-January or sooner. Other tickets will be sent out as quickly as possible.

was a blockbuster production, taking the company to new territory. It was possibly the best production we have ever staged. We spent more on costumes than ever - and it was evident. The 2013 festival will be equally splendid. Eugene Onegin has wonderful dancing, I Puritani has a marvellous virtuoso cast, Les Carmélites is mesmerising in a way not dissimilar from maestro Wagner and Fortunio will surprise you. All this splendour comes at a price greater than income from tickets. For the festival to continue its upward trajectory, please consider contributing towards the success of Grange Park Opera. investing in the art form: in singers, in developing young artists, in attracting young audiences, in education and in improving everything that happens at the festival.

SPONSOR A SINGER and meet the artist after the performance. It’s great fun

ANNUAL PERSONAL DONORS Around 1,000 people support with gifts of £200 – £1,100

TRUSTS & FOUNDATIONS Grange Park Opera and Pimlico Opera seek support for educational and outreach activities

The office has simple wording for a codicil to your will leaving Grange Park Opera a legacy. It is a gift for future generations of music lovers and is tax efficient.

Guests arrive from 3.30pm to enjoy a glass of champagne before the performance which begins at 5.20pm

Guests wear something stylish. Most wear black tie/long or short dress but we encourage creativity. Come as a Carmelite nun or a Russian officer or a Puritan.

The head of the car park will take care of your dog for the evening for a modest charge. There are no kennels but they will be fed, watered, walked and loved.

It is easy to reserve picnic furniture and there are many tables, chairs and benches on the terraces which are claimed first-come-first-served. If you bring your own furniture, it can only be used on the lower East Terrace. No barbecues. No erected structures. We aim for elegance.

An able-bodied person must accompany a guest without good mobility. On the Booking Form indicate (a) whether or not you require wheelchair space (b) if you have other specific seating needs. The Grand Tier is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Guests may borrow a wheelchair from the welcome tent. Visit the accessibility section of the website which includes drop-off details. Mobility scooters cannot be used on the terraces. They should be parked in the car park.

PEOPLE OF ALL AGES are captivated by opera. It is the most expensive art form and we don’t want ticket prices to be a barrier to younger people. They are, after all, the future. This is our fourth season of two special schemes: ARE YOU AGED can buy seats for £30 on selected nights ARE YOU AGED MUSICAL CHAIRS are free seats on selected nights for younger people who otherwise could not come to the opera. They are subsidised by charitable trusts and ticket buyers. REGISTER FREE AT www.grangeparkopera.co.uk or email info@grangeparkopera.co.uk with your name and date of birth
