TEMPERATURE BLANKET PROJECT

LIBRARIES

Rose Barracks Library: February 15, 5 p.m. Looking to try something new or just spend time with people who have similar interests? The Rose Barracks Library is starting a temperature blanket project.

BLIND DATE WITH A BOOK

The basic idea of a temperature blanket is that you knit or crochet one row per day of a blanket in a color that coordinates with the weather. If you use eight to ten different colors and a different pattern on each day of the week, you’ll get a beautiful variation throughout the year. These projects are super popular, and it’s easy to see why — they’re fun to make, something you can do over the long-term, and have the potential to be passed down as an heirloom piece. Interested???? Come to our first meeting to get started. We are planning to meet once a month to see the progress, chat and have some fun. Beginners welcome. Crochet supplies not provided by the library. Supplies can be purchased at the Heart & Home Craft Shop.

Fall in love this February during Library Lover's Month. Visit the Tower Barracks Library or Rose Barracks Library during the month of February and select a wrapped book for a 'Blind Date with a Book'. We'll have a selection of potential favorites BUT you won't be able to judge these books by their covers - take a chance on book love.
