The Pilgrimage of Courage and Peace. The current unrest of this world is calling if not crying for the body of Christ, God’s Church, to proclaim by word and example the Good News of Jesus, to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves, to strive for justice and peace among all people, and to respect the dignity of every human being. In our lament and efforts to partner with God in co-creating the Kingdom on earth, I am encouraged by a prayer attributed to St. Francis of Assisi and hope that, while we pray, we will practice courage as fellow pilgrims: Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. - The Rev. Ollie V. Rencher, Rector Explore the following news, take good care, and please be in touch with the clergy-staff team to assist you or other members along the way!
