Parish Hall Forum: Lenten Art Series—Scripture and Liturgy with the Rev. Amy M. George Gone are the Glorias and the Alleulias have been buried. Beginning with Ash Wednesday and moving to Holy Week, our liturgical focus moves inward and becomes a time of awareness, contemplation, and reflection as we journey toward the cross. We will examine this shift in worship and the beauty that can be found in it.

Join us in Trezevant Hall for breakfast at 8:45 a.m. followed by the Parish Hall Forum from 9:3010:20.

Third Thursday (Mar. 21) All are invited to the March 21 Third Thursday gathering. We are pleased that our speaker is a product of GSL Church who has made quite a name for herself in theater. Virginia Reed Murphy (daughter of Mary Reed and Billy Reed) will introduce us to a very innovative form of theater, Playback Theater. The start time is 6 p.m. for beverages and appetizers with dinner served at 6:45. The fellowship with old friends and new is always valuable. The cost is $15 per person. Reservations are very important for the caterer, so please be sure to make yours no later than Tuesday morning. 39ers (Mar. 27) The GSL 39ers is the senior members’ social and fellowship group. We meet monthly for a social time, catered lunch and a program, all for only $6. Our next meeting is on March 27 at noon for social time, 12:30 p.m. lunch, and at 1 p.m. our speaker, Lindsey Johnson, Director of Development, Literacy Mid-South. Outreach Ministry

Dorothy Day House of Hospitality Volunteer Opportunity: Sunday Prayer and Dessert (Mar. 24) Every Sunday at both of the Dorothy Day House locations, there is a fellowship opportunity for volunteers and families to gather around the table and share a dessert together. Folks from GSL did this in January, and we found it to be a unique and wonderful experience. We plan to do this as an Outreach Volunteer opportunity once a quarter. We will take a simple dessert and join the families from 6-7 p.m. on March 24 at Loretta’s house on Peabody.

Episcopal Youth Community This Sunday, March 17, Middle School and High School we will meet at

Biscuits and Bible: Middle Schoolers are invited to join us in the Red Room Wednesday mornings at 6:45 a.m. for Bible study, prayer, and Chick-fil-A breakfast! For more information, email Addison Combs (acombs@gracestlukes.org).

Children's Choirs GSL’s two youth choirs, St. Cecilia Choir and Canterbury Choir, rehearse on Wednesdays. Rehearsal times are 4:30–5 p.m. for St. Cecilia Choir (for boys and girls in SK–2nd grade) and 5–6 p.m. for Canterbury Choir (for boys and girls in grades 3–6).
