Preparing for Sunday and Beyond Looking Ahead

Christmas Eve & Day Service Schedule. Please note the following, including signup, and watch for a Christmas at GSL eNews on Sunday afternoon about what to expect for each service offering.

Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24

Noon - Virtual Video Premiere of GSL Youth & Children Holiday Greetings and Christmas Pageant featuring parishioners and members of the clergy-staff team.

(Facebook, YouTube, or the GSL website) 2 p.m. - Holy Eucharist with sermon and music, in person and virtual (In-person signup) 4 p.m. - Outdoor Holy Eucharist with homily and music (Weather-permitting. A decision will be made Sunday, December 20.)

9 p.m. - Holy Eucharist with sermon and music, in person and virtual (In-person signup)

Christmas Day, Friday, December 25

10 a.m. - Holy Eucharist with homily and music, in person and virtual (In-person signup)

Sunday, December 20, The Fourth Sunday of Advent. Tune in at 9:15 a.m. for a 30minute virtual formation offering followed by 10:30 a.m. worship, and 5:30 p.m. Virtual Festival of Christmas Lessons & Carols.

9:15 a.m. Formation: Unpacking the Gospels in Advent Part 2 with The Rev. Dr. Mitzi Minor via Facebook , YouTube , & the GSL website . Detailed description available by following this link.

10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist, In Person or Livestream. For more information including required GSL website and Facebook sign up for in-person worship, click here or access livestream services via Live.

5:30-6 p.m. VIRTUAL Festival of Christmas Lessons & Carols. Join on Facebook , YouTube , or the GSL website as the choirs, organists, clergy, and lay readers of Grace-St. Luke’s present a service of Lessons and Carols for the Christmas season. This year we will follow the model set forth on Christmas Eve by the Choir of Kings College Cambridge and hear readings, carols, and hymns celebrating the birth of Jesus.

For Youth. Last week we were sadly rained out for Zoo Lights, but we are so happy to end the EYC season with them this Sunday! Joining with Calvary and Holy Communion, we will be taking in the holiday fun from 6-7:30, and meeting outside the main entrance. If you would like to reserve a ticket, please email Director of Youth Formation Amzie Williams. Make sure to dress warmly, wear a mask, and have a bite to eat before!

For Children. All children are invited to the 20-minute virtual Prayer Table for conversation, songs, stories, and prayer via Zoom after the 10:30 service. Zoom links are sent to the Children's Formation email list on Saturdays. For more information, contact Director of Children’s Formation Sharon Campbell.
