Blessing of the Animals (Oct. 6) We invite you to bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, lizards, fish, birds, snakes, and hedgehogs to the GSL Church nave for the Blessing of the Animals in commemoration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. We ask that all creatures be leashed, caged, or otherwise contained. Each animal will receive an individual blessing from the clergy.

Public Theology (Oct. 3) Taking GSL Formation to the Community Offered 5:30-7 p.m. at Celtic Crossing All are invited to Public Theology, a GSL monthly formation offering at Celtic Crossing in the Cooper Young neighborhood. We’ll gather this evening, Oct. 3, for “Steps to Peace in a Violent World.” The Rev. Ollie V. Rencher, rector, will facilitate a conversation about the challenges of and proven steps to one’s peace in a full, complicated, and broken society.

Parish Hall Forum (Oct. 6) The Spirituality of Giving – Time, Talent, and Treasure to the Glory of God Join our staff stewardship associate, Chapman Morrow, and lay leaders to reflect on the essential three-fold ministry of all individuals to give of their valuable time, talent, and treasure to the glory of God and to support life at GSL. This follows the launch of the GSL 2020 Stewardship Campaign and will include insight into parish ministry operations and finances.
