Gorrissen Federspiel is not only one of the largest full-service law firms in Denmark, we are also one of the most international. Our international outlook is part of our DNA, founded on many years of working together with the world’s leading law firms, banks and other professional advisers and developing a common approach to supporting international clients.

A core part of our employee development programme involves lawyers studying abroad or working at one of our international relationship firms. Around 90% of our partners have worked at a law firm outside Denmark, and it’s such arrangements that have over many years formed the foundation of our strong international network and client base.

In 2022, we entered into a strategic partnership with Arctic Law Greenland, giving us a stronger presence in Greenland and the Artic region and enabling us to support our clients and international relationship firms with specialist regional capabilities.

Novo Nordisk Denmark-based pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, in connection with the acquisition of Denmark-based biotechnology company Embark Biotech ApS from Embark Holdings ApS, KCS-GmbH, and MTC 2008 Holding ApS.

Hempel Denmark-based paint manufacturer Hempel A/S in connection with the divestment of its Russian assets to Russia-based Atomstroykompleks, a deal that follows their announcement in April 2022 that they would exit Russia.

Grundfos Advising Denmark-based pump ­manufacturer Grundfos Holding A/S in entering into a finan­cial PPA for a wind farm in Finland following the completion of a tendering process.

Chr. Hansen Denmark-based global bioscience company Chr. Hansen Holding A/S in connection with its merger with Novozymes A/S, a Denmarkbased biosolutions company.

European Energy Denmark-based European Energy, a global leader in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects, in connection with the sale of 49% of the company’s PtX-Project to Mitsui & Co., a Japanbased conglomerate and investment company engaged in the renewables, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Telia Sweden-listed telecommunications company Telia Company AB, a multinational tele­phony, internet broadband and television services provider, in connection with the sale of its Danish operations and network assets to Norlys, Denmark’s largest integrated energy and telecoms group.

Matas Nasdaq Copenhagen listed Matas A/S, Denmark’s largest health and beauty retailer, in connection with the acquisition of KICKS Group AB, the leading Swedish beauty company, from Axel Johnson AB. Kesko The Finish Listed Retail conglomerate Kesko Corporation in connection with the acquisition of the Denmark-based builders merchant, Davidsen Koncernen A/S from the Davidsen family.

Danske Bank, J.P. Morgan, Nordea, SEB and Nykredit A bank syndicate consisting of Danske Bank, J.P. Morgan, Nordea (as joint global coordinators and bookrunners), SEB and Nykredit (as joint lead managers) in connection with a rights issue and admission to trading and official listing of up to 10,744,009 new shares in Denmark-listed NKT A/S, a manufacturer and supplier of power cables to the international energy sector (proceeds equal to DKK 2.74 million).
